I would think they could. However, the Warios were completely different costumes. His classic one had him in overalls and a hat like Mario, but his Warioware version had him in a biker jacket, helmet, and jeans. Sora's outfits are relatively the same with baggy pants and that vest like thing as his top. However, as seen by Wario, there really isn't a limit to how many colors one can have. However, unless you are Wario, everyone else (minus a few) seemed to follow the 5 color format.
I suppose they could have his KHI outfit instead.

I probably won't ever stop complaining of the gross KH mainstreaming, so that's my only argument. Other than that I think it'd be cool, and the switching colors option could be between KHI, KHII, and all his forms.

edit: I see the color issue has already been extensively discussed :p

That won't work because the green color has to be GREEN! Last time I checked, his limit form, nor his anti form were green -__-

Does it matter if was this color before?

Like Wario is yellow, he wasn't red, blue or green, so why can't Sora be that? It's just a color. What would be cool if his powers was to change to the colors of his forms to perform different attacks.

I love the Super Smash series already. Sora or anyone from KH being in it would be even more reason to buy it.

Hell yeah. Even if there isn't anyone Square Enix characters in it at all, it'll still be worth the money hopefully. I know Brawl was worth every penny I paid for it.

Nobosy I knew was excited at the prospect of playing as Snake. And,(just my opinion mind you), Disney would refuse to work with them unless they put Mickey Mouse in it. Though what would be really great would be if there was a Roxas costume. And a Riku costume. And a Vanitas costume.

Disney would much rather put Sora in a fighting game before Mickey. I highly doubt they would want any of their Disney characters seen in a game that is rated T for Teen because of Cartoon Violence.

Well who doesn't want in there.

I'd be open to the idea, but I think they should start reaching for more classic characters. I love KH and all but it's too new compared to most other franchises within Brawl.

Kingdom Hearts isn't that new. The first KH game was released in 2002. Captain Olimar from Pikmin was released in 2001, and he was in Brawl. I don't think a year difference would really be much of a deciding factor.

Ugh, I'm really bothered when people bring up tiers in Super Smash Brothers. Anyone can be good with any character, they all have their strengths and weaknesses. If someone trains his ass of with Ganondorf, said person could demolish a Metaknight expert. I know I've beaten several people who claim Metaknight is the best with my best: Ness. It's all who you practice with. Also, they took out wavedashing and stalls in Brawl because they weren't supposed to be in Melee. It just made the game a lot less enjoyable when people started "cheating" like that, yet, I understand how it can be transferred to the competitive scene; I just didn't like them. They're two separate games in the same series, both competitive AND casual, and play slightly differently. I prefer Brawl.
Tiers only depict how well certain characters do in Tournament Match-Ups; not trying to say how one character is better than the next. It is stating how in an average match, a Bowser player will usually loose against a Marth player.
And it is pretty apparent that you prefer Brawl after calling Wavedashing "Cheating".

There are many factors about the status of Sora and Smash games.

We do know that Smash games are a platform for Nintendo crossover "intranet", not for other companies. They open two seats for cooperate companies SEGA and Konami in the third installment, and the representives are Solid Snake and Sonic. That means the point is the company they choose.

Monkey in the first column said that "they can choose Sora because KH is with Nintendo". Many games have DS version and cooperate with Nintendo, it's not a clear factor who they want to choose.

One thing we concern about KH series is that it's a cooperative game between SE and Disney. If we decide to choose SE or Disney, that means we choose one representive from each company, but not from the cooperative work between the two. They might choose protagonists from FF or DQ series (eg, Mog, Choco), or Mickey from Disney franchies.

The second concern is as Tatsu in the second column mentioned "Naruto", Disney is not a company that mainly produces games same as Konami and SEGA. AS Sora and other original characters belong to Disney franchise, if we want Sora or Mickey to have a chance, many other companies who produce comic, cartoon or mascots can compete with Disney. (eg. Dora form NickTV, Kitty from Sanrio)
