I doubt it. Back when they were making Brawl there were discussions if Cloud should be in that game seeing as Snake and Sonic (not Nintendo made games but still their games were apart of their systems) were in Brawl. I for one would like to see Cloud in Brawl, hell even Sephiroth if possible for the development in the next game. But I do hope in the next game they do intend a story sequence like in Brawl as well. I actually liked that.

Thing about that video is Sora's up B attack has to be one that let's you ascend upward for recovery.

The reason Snake and Sonic got into those games was because they have Nintendo history. Sonic who is owned by Sega was bought out by Nintendo so Nintendo could allow him in the game. And they knew everyone would love the concept of SOnic and Mario fighting. Snake's original games were on the Nintendo arcade system and Metal Gear Solid (The original) was on Gamecube so they owned the right to some MGS meterial. Kojima was quoted for being proud Snake was able to find a way into the game.

Cloud..I doubt..Any Final Fantasy character after SNES days I doubt...maybe some Cyrstal Chronicle character's but I very much doubt that. Sora has been on three Nintendo Official games so it wouldn't be far fetched to see him as a character.

Cloud and Sephiroth can never be in SSB because they haven't had a game on a Nindendo system with them featured in it (excluding KH because Cloud was only a cameo) Again I state outside of the FF in KH thread, Cloud and Sephiroth are waaaay overused. There are too many games with them in it. Itadaki Street, Ehrgeiz, FFT, KH, Dissidia...

Enough is enough with Cloud.

I doubt he'd be cheap. All of the characters are cheap in their own right. Kirby because he swallows and absorbs characters powers, Link with his up spin slash and overall awesomeness, Zelda because she can change into her Sheik persona and is still a hard opponent as Zelda, Snake because he is a tank, Samus because she has both suits, Pit because he can fly, Lucas and Ness because of their psychic powers in general...I could go on.

I don't see why Sora shouldn't be in Smash, other than Disney being dicks. It might give KH some reach to new fans.

I just find it hard envisioning Sora as a playable character in Super Smash Bros anyways. He wouldn't really "fit", imo.

He's appeared in as many nintendo games as he has Sony games.


Just as many as Solid Snake.

I'm counting 3d and Days.

Snake appeared in metal gear(NES) Snakes Revenge, Ghost Babel, and the Twin Snakes.

Snakes Revenge doesn't count lol. But yeah..I agree with you anyway. The rest were valid..I forgot there were that many gameboy games.. Though there are way more on sony systems to be fair lol

I don't think rokudamia was saying that at all. Just saying that Sora has a chance of being in SSB because of three (four with DDD) KH games being on a Nintendo system despite being owned by SE and Disney.

Xenin on the other hand...

Alright, That was a hilarious read. Sonic was not bought out by Nintendo. And no, just no. Nintendo does not own Metal Gear material simply because Twin Snakes was on the GCN. It is highly accepted that the reason that both characters were included was because both Sega and Konami wanted them in Melee, but since the game was too far in development, they could not include them.

The only criteria for a 3rd party character to be included in Brawl is that they had to have appeared on a Nintendo console previously.

As for a good Square Enix representative, I wouldn't Sora at all. Sora's basic combo in Smash could be the same 3 hit combo he does in the KH series. B could be used for magical attacks, and he could glide for his recovery akin to Metaknight, Pit, and Charizard.

I have heard this conversation numerous times as when Brawl was being created, Sora was highly sought after character and originally, Brawl was rumored to have 3 3rd party characters, and at the time, Sakurai was creating "Project Sora" which people mistook for thinking Sora was a character in the game, which turned out to be false. Anyways, Sora would be a really good fit into the SSB series and I don't think Disney would not allow them because of SSB's huge success and because SSB isn't very violent, but more associated with being family-friendly.

Sora's colors would obviously be his forms and his gameplay wouldn't be too difficult either. He doesn't need to have many magic attacks and could probably stay true to his KH form if he had one or two magic attacks. His Final Smash I won't delve into but I could see a Trinity Limit final smash. The thing is though, I'm not sure why, but I would rather have Roxas in SSB over Sora.

IIRC they held a poll in Japan in a pretty big japanese magazine for which third party characters should be in the game, and Sora was very low on the requested list of third parties, the most requested ones were megaman and geno

on smash boards, support threads for geno and megaman were consistently higher than sora's

what kh fans want isn't a reflection of what smash and nintendo fans want and prefer


Sakurai was creating "Project Sora" which people mistook for thinking Sora was a character in the game, which turned out to be false.
