Some of my poems that I wrote a while ago. I love getting feed back for them, but most people are just like "It's awesome!" Though I love hearing that I'd also wouldn't mind some advice. I might post more depending on the reactions.(Sorry that some of them are like really long =/ )

Someone I knew

This is a story.
Of someone I knew.
He was like me,
He was like you.
Then one day,
His heart was broken.
Split into two.
Now he sits in the shadows.
His heart a black hue.

He has gone from this world.
That we live in.
He has left us,
because they have left him.
What would he have done?
What could he do?
Now I stand here,
Reading this, to you.

His heart broken.
Frozen in time.
He couldn’t take it.
He’d crossed the line.
Now he has joined them.
Now he has gone.
Why was the world so cruel.
Just this one time.

He couldn’t take the pain.
His cold heart.
He solved his problem.
Where they all start.
Now he lies cold on the floor.
His pain, no more.
He has left us.
A knife in the floor.

So ends my tale,
Of someone I knew.
So ends his life.
Cold and blue.
He has found peace.
In heaven or hell.
God only knows.
But God won’t tell.

I hope he found,
What he was looking for.
I hope He chose.
Not the knife in the floor.
I’ll miss him always.
The friend that I lost.
But I wish him the peace,
For all that it cost.

Coils within coils

What you miss the most.
You lost it long ago.
Events unfolding,
Tragically.

What you wish you had.
Is what you want to hold.
Forever and ever,
Never to let go.

What warms your icy heart.
It’s always in your view.
Laying just out of reach,
Forever taunting you.

The things you regret the most.
Are the things you lost long ago,
The things you never had,
And the things you never want to let go.

Confessions

I hate it when you’re sad.
I hate it when you cry.
I try to make it better,
but it always ends in lies.

I try to dry your tears.
I try to make you laugh.
but even though I try,
It seems you’re always sad.

I love the way you look at me.
I love the way you stare,
but I hate when you look away,
or when you’re not there.

I love the way you are,
but I bet you never knew.
I guess you didn't get the hint,
even when I stared at you.

I guess you'll never know,
That I'm in love with you,
but all I need is your smile.
to keep me from being blue.

Simple, but extraordinary. Though a few metaphors wouldn't hurt.

Thanks.
Yeah metaphors wouldn't hurt they just don't flow from me when I seem to write them I prefer to use like real imagery instead of a comparison. Like instead of saying "Locked in the steel cage that is my heart" I'd rather say like "Locked in my steel cage heart" I don't like comparing I'd rather say it is instead of saying what it is similar to. Kind of confusing but I just have that kind of headache inducing personality.

Good poems,my personal favourite is Coils within coils.

But maybe you should do something about the flow of the poems, especially the third one?
Make the stanzas rhyme a bit more,so it will be easier to read.

You sure it's the third one cause I can only find one stanza where I didn't use the ABCB rhyming scheme and that was
I try to dry your tears.
I try to make you laugh.
but even though I try,
It seems you’re always sad.

Well here's some more poems including a new one where I changed my style a little bit.

Taken

Embracing each other.
God was kind.
Removed from time.
Holding each other.
Safe, I thought in my mind.

Squealing tires.
Screams of frightened.
Ripped from my arms.
She was taken from me,
And handed to death.

Now I stand here,
Holding the air.
And there she lays.
Her blood crimson red,
My heart midnight black.

What could I do?
She was taken from me.
Why is he so cruel?
To grant us peace,
Then to take it away.

There I stood.
Unmoving.
My sight was only for her.
Torn from my grasp,
A drunk driver to blame.

She died that night,
Taken from my arms.
My heart died that night.
Ripped from my chest.
Buried forever, forever in eternal rest.

Loner

I am a lonely wanderer ever following the path of indifference.
Ever drifting.
Ever flowing.
Never held.
Never restricted.
Always alone.
Ever bereaved.
When will my suffering end?
When will I be noticed?
No answers for my questions.
Alone I stand,
Forever more.
Ever forgotten
Ever a shadow.
Ever encircled in a song of sorrow.
Ever weeping my eternal grief.
I am there,
But yet I am not.
I speak my heart,
But no one hears.
I cry my sorrow.
But no one cares,
I stand alone,
But no one notices.
Ever the loner.
Am I.

The Lonely Soul’s Truth

I’m never on their mind.
I’m always alone.
Forever a shadow.
I must roam.

They don’t care
I don’t matter.
I’m just not there,
And it just makes me sadder.

They never talk to me.
Unless of course,
I’m the only one there,
And that chatter is coarse.

You think this denial.
Would make someone hate.
But still I have hope.
But maybe it’s to late.

I’m only a friend.
When there are no others.
I am always alone,
replaced by another.

Though it seems not,
My greatest wish remains.
To be cared for by all,
But things will never change.

Reflections

Starlit drops fall from the sky.
I raise my arms to catch them.

Moonlit tears fall from her face.
I raise my hand to wipe them away.

Flaming infernos strike the sky.
I wrap my arms around my knees.

Unrelenting fear grips her face.
I wrap my arms around her.

Diamond stars and a Pearl white moon set onto a velvet sky.
I drop to my knees in awe and praise this glorious night.

A Dazzling smile and sparkling blue eyes set onto a face of silk.
I drop to my knees in awe and praise her radiant beauty.

The sky above our heads, ever changing.
I raise my head in respect.

The face I stare at all day long, ever different.
I raise my head in respect, and in love.

Enjoy :)
