I'm a little biased given that XIII was my first true Final Fantasy game, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. I even got the platinum after playing it for a month straight. The sequels were completely unneeded but I enjoyed them enough, I still just pretend everything ended at XIII though since it had the more perfect ending, despite everyone eventually ending up in France or something at the end of LR.
To me this is how I see the trilogy:
XIII - Story
XIII-2 - Gameplay
LR - eh gameplay was pretty neat in this one I guess.
It's honestly been years though so I don't remember every aspect of the games, especially sad that there was never a theater mode for XIII either, I'd love to just sit down one day and watch it all like a movie. All day long
