Soul Eater to begin with wasn't even a Keyblade, but Way to Dawn was created by using it as a medium.
Yeah, it seems Nomura tried to confuse us with the whole Soul Eater weapon thing. XH gave Riku the Soul Eater right?
It's just strange to me how Riku uses the Soul Eater in KH:3D, even though it isn't a keyblade... It was either a mistake, or it was intentional in some way.
It was probably Maleficent that helped him summon it rather than XH. There's no sure answer, though.
Definitely not a mistake; there's something going on that we don't know.

So,Keychain had no effect on it?
I thought it was the keychain too, but the tranformation thingy is still unexplained?

When you acquire another player's D-link, you should be able to use moves that can't be used by other characters. For example, if your has Aqua's Time Splicer and you're playing as Terra, you'll get her move as Terra.

You can assume that, yes, but since Riku's never actually attached a keychain onto Soul Eater, we can't say it doesn't do nothing. But attaching a keychain onto Soul Eater will most definitely not transform it into a Keyblade.

sure as long as Terra's the father
Birth By Sleep did exactly that. You can combine multiple spells to make bigger spells. For example, you can combine a Fira with 2 Firagas to make Fission Firaga and you can combine 3 Firagas to make Crawling Fire. Then to go even further, you can combine Fission Firaga and Crawling Fire to make Mega Flare.
Does anyone want to see kairi pregnant in the end just to spice things up.
