Physical Appearance:

Similar to the picture above, Zion’s arm is not encased in armor.

His hair is blue and comes just above his eyes, on which he wears small circular sunglasses. His skin tone is a bit tan, and he has broad shoulders. His body is muscular but not large, like a pro soccer player or swimmer.

Garments/Armor:

~ He wears a sky blue sash around his neck, and on his torso he has a navy blue breastplate with matching shoulder armor on his right shoulder. He is wearing a tight white long-sleeved shirt beneath the breastplate, and navy blue gloves on each hand. The gloves have gold caps on the tip of each finger, along with a gold ring around the wrist. Around his waste he wears two gray belts, with white pants beneath those. On his rear end he wears a long off-white cloth that hangs down to about his ankle and is held on by thick gold strips on his hips. He has similar strips on his upper thighs, one on each side. Thinner strips on each of his knees, with two of them on each knee forming an “X” pattern. Below that he has on navy blue boots that are white around the toe. His staff is strapped to his back, the end sticking up just over his left shoulder.

Armaments:

~ Nocturne – The name of his enchanted lute, Nocturne is a beautiful instrument. Made by the best mages on Zion, even the strings of imbued with some magical power. It is said that because of this fact the music that Zion plays is more beautiful than everyone else’s, but that is just a rumor. The mages cast a protective spell on the lute to keep it from getting damaged.

If you don’t know what a lute looks like, here is a picture:

http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k87/FatalDuality/Lute.jpg

Zion’s lute navy blue, and has silver lining the edges. The strings are made of pure gold, thinned out and tried and re-tried so that his lute could achieve the best sound possible. The strap is made of several layers of silk, so that it is soft but does not easily break. The wood used to make the lute had some magic before the mages got to it; it is from a magical tree that is native to the lands of Zion.

Fortune – A staff made out of the same wood as the lute, it is approximately six and a half feet in length. Zion knew that his magical rhyme would sometime have to take a back seat, so he had the mages craft him fortune for him. The staff is 3 inches thick, and has a very good spell cast on it from the mages; it was an empowerment spell. Though the staff is made of wood, when it strikes Zion’s foe it feels like the weight of the world has come upon them (which basically means when it hits, it hits HARD). Zion is rather skilled with his staff, being so good that he taught one or two Zionians the art of the staff prior to his leave. The staff also has the protective spell cast on it.

~Personality~

~ Zion is an extremely wise being, and also extremely kind hearted. Some people say that even his personality is musical, as he often throws in rhymes when he is talking. He is very peaceful, and does not participate in pointless violence unless asked. He is very polite, and has a good outlook on life. Although all these qualities may make some view him as a “softy” Zion is far from it. If he is provoked, he will smite the person who did it with a force so terrible not even the gods could contend. It takes a rather lot to push him to this point though, and that is why most people who know him only know his kind side.

~Likes/Dislikes~

~Likes:

- Music in all of its forms
- Peace and tranquility
- Good conversation; waxing poetic about everything from the cost of tea to the secrets of the very Omniverse itself.

~Dislikes:

- Chaotic Situations; loud ugly noises
- The evil at heart; those who abuse their power and kill for fun
- The Cruel

~Skills~

The Magic of Music – Zion uses can use his enchanted lute in concurrence with the power of his very words to utilize magic. All he has to do is sing a line and play it with a tune and the magic he sings of will occur. Example:

“This magic next I play on my lute not my lyre, in a large ball I’ll shoot you some fire.”

Would shoot a large fireball at his opponent. The magic is harder to use than it seems, because if Zion can’t think up the proper rhyme for what he wants to do he can’t do it. If clever enough with his words, Zion can use just about any type of magic there is.

~Biography~

~Creation:

Long ago, in a far corner of the Omniverse, there was a planet. This planet was called Zion. Zion was a beautiful utopia, a virtually perfect world. Everyone was happy there, there were no such things as pain, suffering, and sin. The people of Zion loved music, and were themselves musicians. They would play their stringed, woodwind, and horned instruments all night and day, and their music eventually became the most beautiful music any person has ever heard. They also developed a knack for the magical arts, with great mages rising up on Zion.

One day, one of Zion’s greatest musicians had a thought. The man rushed to the leader of the people of Zion and demanded that he meet with Zion’s greatest Mage. The leader agreed and The Musician and The Mage met and The Musician explained to The Mage his brilliant thought. The Musician had wondered, what if they were to mix magic and music? What would be the result? No one knew. So The Mage conducted an experiment to find out.

The Mage told The Musician to play his lute as beautifully as he knew how, and The Mage would cast spells on the lute as he played. By this time many people had heard of the The Musician and The Mage’s experiment, so a large crowd gathered at the place where the experiment was to take place. So The Musician began to play his most beautiful song, and the mage began to cast his best spells on The Musician’s lute. As the Musician played, smoke began to form in a cloud around the two men. Even through the this, The Musician played. The cloud became thick around the two, so thick that one couldn’t even see his own hand in front of his face. Even through this, The Musician played. The cloud then began to form, seemingly into the form of a man. Even through this, The Musician played. The cloud continued to form, but it took several days. The Musician’s hand began to ache and The Mage's stamina began to slip. Even through this, The Musician played. Finally, after three days of playing and spell casting, the cloud was done forming. The cloud had become a man, or at least it resembled a man. When he finished, the cloud man spoke. He said,

“For bringing me into existence I forever thank you, but in due time sins will overcome you.”

Not heeding the cloud man’s words, The Musician, The Mage, and the people all cried out in joy. They believed they had created a god. Soon came to realize that this god had no name. And so they donned him Rhapsody,

Zion Rhapsody.

~Life:

The Musician and The Mage went down in history as heroes, and Zion was made the god of Zion. Immediately after his creation, the people gathered more musicians and mages and instructed them to make him a magical lute. The musicians and mages contended, and made him the most beautiful instrument in all of Zion. They named it Nocturne, and gave it to Zion who graciously thanked them. Zion played the lute, and the music was absolute perfection; even better than the music of The Musician. But, something about Zion’s music was different. Once he saw a dying tree and sang a song about it being reborn, and immediately afterwards that tree became the most beautiful tree in Zion. This further fueled the people’s belief that Zion was a god, so they all hailed him.

For ages, long after the deaths of The Musician and The Mage, the people praised Zion. He was the wisest person on Zion, and also the most kindly. Even though he was a god, he still walked among the common folk; speaking with them and spending time in each of their homes. Because of his kind heart and beautiful music, the people dubbed him “The Beautiful Melody.” For ages upon age’s life went on as this, the people praised Zion and Zion loved the people. It was a relationship that heightened the perfection of Zion, some even calling it “heaven.”

But all good things must come to an end.

One day, Zion was spending time in a large city on Zion called Tomplet. That cities people were enjoying conversing with Zion and listening to his beautiful music. A neighboring city, Rummet, became jealous of Tomplet and wanted Zion to return to their city. At first, things were handled peacefully. The leader of Rummet sent messengers to the leader of Tomplet telling him to return Zion to their city. The leader of Tomplet refused, and this angered the leader of Rummet. Time and time again the leader of Rummet asked the leader of Tomplet to return Zion, and time and time again the leader of Tomplet refused. One day it was more than the leader of Rummet could take. He sent the mages under him to cast all sorts of nasty curses on Tomplet and it’s people. This infuriated the leader of Tomplet, and he sent his own mages to do the same. Soon enough, curses turn into plagues, plagues turned into killings, and this simple disagreement turned into war. The people forget about their beautiful instruments, and picked up arms with which to fight. This war rattled all of Zion, forcing all of it’s people to choose sides; either Rummet or Tomplet. Zion was very displeased at this.

And so one night, Zion gathered a few of his most loyal mages. He told them to craft him a staff, one that would be useful not only for a walking stick but also in battle. The mages did not understand this, but they did not argue. For seven days they worked on Zion’s staff, making absolutely sure it was as good as they could possibly make it. After the staff was finished, Zion named it Fortune and revealed his plan to the mages. Zion was going to leave this world under cover of night. The people had forgotten the music; the very same music that had brought him into existence, and had instead chose to fight pointless wars. Zion said that he would return once the people realized their mistakes and no longer dreamt of war. He then told the mages not to tell the people, that they must figure this out for themselves. And so with one last look, Zion departed from Zion; the planet that was once called heaven.

Now Zion roams around the Omniverse until the day that he can return to his utopia…
