Should we have a "bump" option in the forums?

Just so we don't have any thing to post in old posts to bump it back up to the first page.

Because if people cared about the thread, they would post. I don't want some idiots bumping shitty threads that have no right being at the top of the forum.

Over at CoS on mugglenet, they generally bump old threads instead of creating new topics. If you wanted to make a thread about Paramore, it does save bandwidth by doing a quick search for already-created topics, rather than starting a new one.

Agreed, which is why that kind of option will NEVER, EVER appear on these forums. Ever. People would abuse the heeeeeeeeeell out of that.

On the other hand, if someone does what baka ushi mentioned, and ACTUALLY HAS SOMETHING VALID TO SAY THAT MIGHT INVIGORATE THE OLD THREAD, by all means.
