to me the sea salt was just how was your mission? this is what i learned on my mission..........

The ice cream scenes were so adorable <3 Plus they had a lot of some of the best dialogue and character development between the group, be it positive or negative.
If anything they were my favorite part about Days.

im doing a replay all they are is just chatting about missions and feelings for like 2 sentences then they go mission
In my opinion, the sea salt scenes were there for no reason. I think it was there, just to show what Axel or Xion are thinking about the events and stuff and hear from there point of views. \
But for the Sea-Salt Ice cream itself, it was there to show more movement during the Clock tower scenes. Imagine Roxas, Axel and Xion just sitting there and talking. That would get a little boring. Also, I heard in some interview that Nomura loves Sea-Salt ice cream so he wanted it to be in the series.

It was the only alone time the three ever shared. Besides the obvious fact that they were just discussing what happened during their missions, it showed the closeness of their relationship when they spoke, and when they just sat there eating it without speaking how awkward things were.
The scenes were basically there to keep you updated on their relationships.

Because without a proper basis it could be argued they weren't really friends, like Riku and Kairi's situation.

The clock tower scenes were important because they developed the friendship shared between Roxas, Xion, and Axel. With each of them preoccupied with missions each day, their time on the clock tower was practically the only opportunity for them to share some quality time. I thought it was a good way for the game to feature their friendship while emphasizing a feeling of repetition.
Besides, some of the scenes on the clock tower were very interesting and had great dialogue. I also enjoyed the clever hints and foreshadowing found in a lot of those clock tower scenes.

The best scenes, like "What Is Love" "What is anyone doing?" are character development scenes that are very important. Others are just there.
Because, without those scenes, their relationships would have no struggle. No conflict. That's the whole point of caring about characters is when they're likeable and faced with challenges.

i like the sea salt scenes for some reason. they were fun to read and watch. to me i felt it was interesting
They're nice but it gets kind of irritating when after every single mission there's a cut-scene of Roxas and Axel just eating ice cream. Kind of drags ooon after a while.
I personally found them to be a little boring at time, but I also think it showed how their friendship grew, and how, despite not having hearts, they felt.

They're OK, but they do get a little irritating after a while.
