Sorry for the late reply.
I fell asleep halfway through typing this.
I have a very valid conspiracy theory of my own!
Paul is actually Donald Duck.
He shows the same amount of stubbornness now as when Donald refuses to heal me.
Also, his words convey
angry faces hatred, therefore he
must have darkness in his heart!
And Donald is a very angry duck.
Therefore, beyond a doubt, this is undeniable proof that Donald Duck and Paul are one and the same.
Seeing as I, and Piccolo Sky, don't agree that Arendelle was just a Copy and Paste from FROZEN - though he doesn't believe that Arendelle has close to as much importance in KINGDOM HEARTS as I do - 'we all' do not agree about this.
Dude, you talk about this "Piccolo Sky" person so much. Why don't you get them on KHInsider?
We go to Arendelle more than we go to *any* other Disney world.
No, we don't. We really, REALLY don't. We get like, what, three areas? We don't even go to actual Arendelle, only the North Mountain.
The background music is a variation of the theme from the opening movie that plays before the Title Screen.
We're talking about how the PLOT is practically the same as Frozen with SDG following the main cast awkwardly, not the music.
Sora connects with Anna as he does no other Disney character; Anna gets in his personal space, they look in each others' eyes, Sora and Anna mirror each other's facial expressions and body language,
... They absolutely do not.
Anna and Sora sitting down side by side is one of KINGDOM HEARTS' strongest leit-motifs for friendship - see Sora, Kairi, and Riku on the paopu tree on the Destiny Islands play island; Xion, Roxas, and Lea/Axel, and later Pence, Hayner, Olette, and Isa/Saix on the Twilight Town clock tower ledge; Aqua, Ven, and Terra on the Land of Departure stone railing; Ava and Ephemer on the side of the fountain; and Sora, Goofy, and Donald and the rest of Big Hero Six on the top of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransokyo
Sure, friendship.
Friendship.
Nomura has never hinted at Soranna.
Sora feels Anna's pain in his heart when he feels no one else's who he hasn't merged with or isn't currently touching
Yup. This is one of my least favourite parts of KHIII.
Sora feels increasingly bad and powerless and helpless to be there for Anna and Elsa when he's knocked down the mountain three times - similar to how Aqua failed to protect Eraqus, and Ven, and Terra, so this might be meant to parallel and reflect Aqua
... Sora is just being... Sora. He cares about everyone. This isn't romantic love. It's barely even friendship. They barely know each other.
after Sora feels Anna's pain in his heart he starts talking, making sounds, giving facial expressions, and portraying body language similar to Xion's, Roxas', and Lea's/Axel's when they're suffering the most
... uh... Yeah... I'd hurt too if my heart (or Anna's heart) got blasted with icicles.
Skoell's ultimate attack is one of the darkest and the most apocalyptic in all of KINGDOM HEARTS
... so...?
Sora flashes back to Anna's and Elsa's love for each other when he realizes how close he is to Kairi.
And... What exactly does Sora learn? He already knows he loves Kairi. He's known since he drew that paopu fruit on the wall of that cave.
Disney told Nomura what he *couldn't* do. They can't force him *to* do anything. There's a distinct difference.
Mmm-hmm. Just like how there's a distinct difference between you and Donald Duck.
Even Nomura himself said that Disney put the most restrictions on Arendelle than any other world.
Since you seem to know so much about the inner workings of Square Enix and Disney, please tell me, why weren't there any Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts III?
The characterization in Arendelle is among the most in-depth characterization in any Disney world in the entire KINGDOM HEARTS series.
Yeah, coz most of it's shown in a SONG that's already WRITTEN FOR THEM, and all they have to do is copy the movie FRAME BY FRAME. Besides, Hans, the person in the movie with the most conflicting character, is barely even shown.
Woody and Buzz had the best characterisation in my opinion.
And even *if* Disney was willing to cut ties with Square ENiX if Nomura wouldn't include those two songs, he'd have likely let them. Nomura values the creative process.
Stop talking about Nomura like you know him personally. Sure, Nomura values the creative process. But
of course, he still wants to make money. He needs money.
And you must be quite naïve to act as if money isn't important at all. Cutting Disney out would be cutting a lot of their funding out, and a lot of people love the Disney aspects of Kingdom Hearts. KH will flop without Disney. It's already wilted a bit at the lack of Final Fantasy.
(Though, if I may be so bold to say this, I suspect it was never really about Final Fantasy. FF was very popular in the early 2000s, and so Kingdom Hearts was marketed as "a Final Fantasy game, with Disney" to appeal to the FF fans. And then Disney took over so much in KHIII that FF characters weren't included at all.)
He's *not* going to write Anna out-of-character the slightest amount, and *especially* not as out-of-character as it would be to have Anna sing, 'Do You Wanna' Build A Snowman?' to Sora without a *very* good reason for it, he's *not* going to sacrifice creativity for money
You're idolizing Nomura way too much. He's allowed to make mistakes, you know.
He's written many characters out of their established character multiple times, especially in KHIII:
- Sora gives up and screams after everyone except Riku dies, despite being in MUCH WORSE situations before, some in which he handled ON HIS OWN, WITHOUT RIKU. Even Kairi's been in trouble before, and he never screamed when she was lying half-dead in KHI.
- Roxas, as someone who wanted more than anything to be his own person, hardly reacts when he sees Ventus.
NO COMMENT ON THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. I get that it's not the right time, but it's
Roxas. He
never does anything at the right time. He gets upset and bursts out in anger.
- Kairi being a totally different person from her KHI personality.
-
Aqua seeing her best friend for the first time in 10 years: gOoD mOrNiNg VeN
he's *not* going to roll anything out because he's desperate to get something out... which he wasn't, since FROZEN was released in 2013 or 2014 - I can't remember which - so Nomura had around four years to around five years to finish the FROZEN Arendelle arc.
Remember that he was also working on Re:Mind (which was technically still a part of KHIII then), Union X, Dark Road and Melody of Memory.
See my previous points about why Kairi and the Princesses of Heart have darkness in their heart when they're Princesses. They can choose darkness or light just as anyone else can.
Anna's connection to Sora is important because it relates to Kairi's Anna - and perhaps Jasmine - heart fragment having created the fiery Darkside in Scala ad Caelum, thus providing further evidence that Kairi, and the Princesses of Heart, possess darkness.
AS I HAVE STATED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE, YOU CANNOT. USE. YOUR. THEORIES. AS. FACT. TO PROVE. YOUR. OTHER. THEORIES.
Once again, I'm *not saying* that Sora returns Anna's feelings - which, by the way, I keep saying are a 'maybe' in regards to romantic love, and just 'definite' in regards to a strong friendship.
...
dude.
Anna is not in love with Sora, and Sora is not in love with Anna.
It's
very clear that they've been pushing SoKai since the first game.
You have to be a bat to not see that.
If Kairi rejected Sora, Sora likely *would* return Anna's feelings, or fall in love with her himself even if *she's* not in love with him.
WHAT. IS. YOUR. EVIDENCE.
THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT YOU HOPE TO HAPPEN BECAUSE YOU SHIP IT.
IT'S LITERALLY 0% CANON.
He felt Anna's pain in his heart when Elsa sent her ice fragment into Anna's heart when he doesn't feel anyone else's, not Kairi's or Riku's or Donald's or Goofy's
aaaaaagh
and Nomura hasn't commented on why.
the first time he uses the word 'love' in the whole series is in reference to Anna's love for Elsa
Yeah, because he's growing up. It would be weird and even out-of-character for KHI Sora to say it. This is the most character growth he has in Arendelle.
and his facial expressions and body language and the sounds he makes when he looks at Anna show he's *extremely impressed* by how much Anna loves Elsa and how much Anna is devoted to her
Ok, sure.
And, though, yes, Rapunzel's personality is a good match for Sora's - and it's likely why she danced with him in KINGDOM HEARTS III's TANGLED Kingdom of Corona arc rather than Eugene - Anna's personality is *far more* of a match for Sora's personality. Anna's emotional, think-with-your-heart, see the brightest portion of a person, live with all your heart, and cheerful, optimistic personality are also a very good match for Sora's.
... Now it's literally a ship war. Sorapunzel vs Soranna. What is wrong with friendship?!
One final point before I'm done for now. Someone raised the issue - in this Thread or elsewhere, I can't recall - that Sora doesn't talk to anyone in Arendelle after defeating Hans.
This happens for two sets of reasons.
One, Sora knows *far better* than to intrude on Anna and Elsa reconnecting and Anna taking away a lot of Elsa's pain. He doesn't object to Anna looking at him when Elrena/Larxene calls up the darkness dome to separate them, or the minority of times Anna looks at Sora afterwards, but that's as far as it goes. He's *not* going to damage the confidence Anna has just gained in her ability to wield that special strength to protect what matters, and he's *not* going to damage Elsa experiencing the warmth of her sister's love; first and foremost, because *that* would hurt Anna *far more* than anything Sora could say or do to Anna herself; and secondly, because Sora also cares a lot about Elsa.
But there's another set of reasons. The FROZEN Arendelle arc of KINGDOM HEARTS III is very likely meant to end on a cliffhanger. The Arendelle arc of KINGDOM HEARTS III is very likely just the beginning of Sora's character arc with Anna and Elsa. It's very likely set up for *a lot* that will come later.
Nah, fam. Sora's running away from poor Anna.
Also, HOW did talking about the Princesses of Heart lead to a weird ship war?
Except this ship war isn't ship against ship.
It's ship against canon.
And the cannonball sunk Soranna a long time ago.
Sure, you can ship it. But don't try to convince me that it's canon. It's
very clear that they've been pushing SoKai since the first game. You have no evidence.
