well at least for a computer nerd....
Well I was listening to music and trying to compress some files into a zip file. All of the sudden the music stops and I get a weird error message and the screen went black. When it returned all of the widows involving my E-drive (my spare hard drive) were closed. I tried to replay my music but it said it couldnt locate it. I knew exactly where it was located in my e-drive so I opened my computer and the E-drive Icon was gone! I was about to panic because not only was all my music and videos stored there but all of my HW assignments as well. I calmed down and restarted my computer and magically it reappeared. I figured I would share that story with you all and maybe some of you can share similar stories.

What the hell happened? That seems really weird.

Well, I have a radio in my desk, and sometimes my knee will accidentally turn it on.

One night I was up late trying to remix something, the lights were out, when I pressed pause, I hit the radio by accident (i didn't notice) and the radio turned on. This would of been fine, except for the fact I watched a scary movie earlier, and the darkness in my room, plus the sudden loud noise of static, made me freak. I thought it was the Ring all over again, because I quickly turned my comp off, and I didn't know it was my radio. I thought my comp speakers were still giving static sound, when I cut the power!

I figured it out after panicking, and I went to bed.

Once I went on my brother's computer, aware of the fact I wasn't supposed to be doing that. I can't remember too well, but while I was on, the computer suddenly froze. Panicking, I turned off the computer pressing the big round button. A devastating sound could be heard when I pressed the button, as if a large complex had lost all electrical power. I'm not sure what happened afterwards, but I'll always remember that losing-power sound.

lol here is a funny one. My sister wanted me to come help here friend move in to her dorm so I agreed. When I got there her friend's roommate was saying her computer was acting weird. My sister volunteered me to fix it. I sat down and I saw the lcd itself was shaking the monitor wasn't really shaking but the screen was. I checked all the settings and couldnt figure it out. Then I looked to the left and sitting in the window right next to the computer was a huge fan. I turned the fan off and bam the screen stopped vibrating.

Well, I have one.
I was on here pretty late. 1 am or so.

And I was on myspace too. I went to my girlfriends site, and the song didnt load.
so I turned the monitor off the lights and everything.
Then I got in my bed and her song ( which in the beginning has a little girl that laughs extremely creepily )

And I ran in the computer room turned the speakers off and ran back to my room =o.
That was scary. and random

About a year ago someone posted a game where you had to tell the difference between these two pictures. I was looking very close at the screen because the pictures were small and BAM comes out this freaky girl on crack. I ran away from my computer and didn't come back for a few minutes

lol there are so many of those. One of them was like turn your speakers way up and watch this to tell me when a change occurs in either the picture or the sound. The picture was of a race car and the sound was an engine. then the screen changed and it was some girl who's face was messed up and the sound was a blood curdling scream. I yelled and fell backwards in my chair

Angels of darkness tread softly in the light.
I once freaked this girl out.

My school still had the network messaging service enabled on all machines in the school... xD
(What fun!)
I had lots of fun with it.

So this girl decided to sit next to me in the school library..
I looked over, and she's busy working away, so I sent her a message...
'There is no spoon.'
(Which happens to be a reference to the Matrix trilogy.)
The message popped up on the screen, and she freaked out.. COMPLETELY freaked out. xD
I think I made her paranoid.. later I explained to her and a few others (we were all on the academic team..) what I did.

I could also print 'things' from other machines on the network, so it would appear that *this* student printed something instead of *me* or *that* student... etc. ;)

My favorite was simple:
I did somethings.. to EVERY single computer on my school's network at the SAME time..
(And this was big..)
They tried to blame it on me.. but couldn't exactly pin it on me anyways..

Basically, their was a small 5-15 minute gap that they couldn't explain. I also had used another student's login credentials for it. (I'm evil, sometimes.) I just had to deny that I was there at the time. ;) Which meant that they couldn't prove anything. ^.^ And they couldn't even say I was logged onto the network... *I* wasn't.. ;)
(Suckers.)

In short, they couldn't prove a damn thing.

I also wound up with a few of the admin's passwords.. don't even ask how. xD
Basically, I could login to the machines as the local admin, or as any student of the first four class hours..

And if you screwed with me or my friends... well...
This one kid did just that. So *JUST* before his homework was due, the very day...
We'd delete his work.. xD He screwed with us... we raped him. >.>
And we'd be nice a few times..

Then he just wouldn't leave me the (insert explicitive of your choice) alone..
So I changed his login.. everytime he logged in (which took about 5-10 minutes, btw.. slow network), the server would automatically kick him off. xD
They NEVER figured the problem out.. I could easily have fixed it. They just gave him a new account.
(It was sooooooo hilarious watching him try to log in over and over and over... just to be kicked off the server.)

PS>> When one of us would get done with our work, we just emailed to stuff to the other classmates..
Then we'd just have to change names, and all get 100%.. xD

PIRACY, FTW!!!
(I was almost always done first... e.e)

his dad is on the way up the stairs and i decide to open the file....and it's freaking porn...and not good porn either...1980's porn,lol....so we were like "oh S**T!" and he was like "dad wait!" while i erased the file from the comp..haha we never got caught but it taught us a lesson never to download movies again, lol

O.k. slightly similar story but not as dramatic. xD. Anyhow, a few days back when I was surfing on the internet, all of a sudden the PC requests I verify the account username and password (note: I was on a school proxy), then when I typed in the corrects account details it couldn't verify my details, I kept going on and on, but still no luck, next minute my mate advises that I restart the PC, me being the stubborn fool I am when it comes to computing, ignored his request, but after a few more minutes of rambling on, I gave in and restarted the PC, before you know it, it allows me to log back on using the same account details, I don't know how proxy verification issues can simply need a restart. Any similar experiences fellow members?
