An animated series by Rooster Teeth about girls with weapons that are also guns battling monsters.

This show really likes to play to people's names. Cinder Fall becomes a Fall maiden, causes the Fall of beacon, Falls to her (supposed) death.....Raven/Qrow etc.

Looking forward to Ruby Rose stabbing Salem at the Salem witch trials with a rose made out of rubies.

Last volume left such a horrible taste in my mouth that I honestly don't know if I'll watch, at least not right away. I don't have much to say about the trailer at the moment except that I like the design of the fat chick, the looks on Team RWBY at 0:51 gives me hope that Miles and Kerry did a smart and realized that the characters shouldn't act like Ozpin can do no wrong and that possessing Oscar like a parasite is perfectly okay, and.....that old woman is just old Katara with science goggles.

I thought it was really fun introduction episode. It’s great to see the main girls finally interacting together again after so long and the train battle was cool. I already complemented the new backgrounds but WOW they sure are great. Remember how simplistic everything was in season 1 along with the creepy shadow clones used for background filler? The art has come so far.

There's just one thing that bothers me.

If Ozpin is so powerful, how was he beaten by Cinder? The fact that she still had plenty left in the tank to easily beat Pyrrah means she must have beaten Ozpin with relative ease. Are the maidens that much more powerful than him?

On one hand I think he deserves some respect after all the stuff that he has been through. It's hard to say that I would not have made the same mistakes if given the same circumstances. However, continuing to try and keep secrets and even hiding himself in Oscar to run away from the responsibility of having to explain himself is not a good look. I still love Ozpin, but he has problems that need to be ironed out.

After finally going on a binge of the whole season today... I'm left to a few possibilities for this:

Spoiler Show

1. Ozpin isn't "powerful" combatively so much as he is knowledgeable.
2. Each body that Oz makes his home in is different, has different limitations. Also, he was old at the point in the series in question. Perhaps it was also a tactical play, knowing that he'd come back in someone else, younger, etc.?
3. Cinder's power from the Maiden stacked on top of what she was already capable of, which both covered and bypassed whatever gap there may have been in that regard. So she becomes enough to defeat both Oz and Pyrrah. She was already powerful within RWBY canon. So adding a Maiden's power into that has to mean something.

I dig the new designs and am looking forward to seeing where the season goes.

Really curious to see how the two new writers will impact the series. I think the last season was a big improvement over the previous two and hope with these two added voices that'll continue their current path of improvement.

I'm also excited for the comic exploring the gap between vol 3 & 4. It'd be great to see them deal more with the aftermath of the fall of Becon vol 4 kinda glossed over it.

Yes, I hope they make more stories covering what other characters have been up to as well. I was hoping Glynda Goodwich would regroup with the Ozpin team.

Yeah, it's a bit strange in-universe for her not to regroup with him. But i guess they need someone keeping an eye on Beacon.

I wouldn't mind them generally expanding on the universe more the way they have with the book.
