Re: RUINS OF UNKNOWN -- [ sign-ups + ooc thread ] (STARTS 9/3)
"Greetings, program! I'm constructing binary in a language that's beyond her range of computation!"
Name: Enzo
Age: A rough estimation would be that Enzo is in his mid twenties, though he doesn’t know the exact date when he came into being.
Gender: Male
Side: Good
Heart: Light
Weapon: The Space Paranoids staple: the Baton. The baton can form objects such as a sword, a staff, a lightcycle, a light jet, etc. Enzo’s personal favorite baton function involves compressing the main body to form a knife, something Enzo views as quick, agile, and “all a man needs.” Enzo made sure to program his identity disk with the codes for these items, so that they can be formulated outside of the bits and bytes of his homeworld.
Appearance:
Enzo is tall, well built, and has a nearly ideal body. This is mostly because he was created to be that way (engineered, as all of the first generation of ISOs was). He has short, brown hair that tends to stay relatively tame, due to its thickness. Enzo’s eyes are brown, and besides the fact that sometimes they make him look like Bambi, they have little significance. Enzo also carries the typical male ISO tattoo, which I have no idea how to explain to you so I’m going to link you to the Tron wiki (
ISO - Tron Wiki).
Seeing as he left Space Paranoids, Enzo's attire is now much changed from his homeworld's man-made clothing. Now wearing black shorts, with a glowing, light blue stripe on either side of the legs. He wears a plain-white t-shirt underneath a black sweatshirt that matches his shorts, maintaining a similar stripe pattern as one would see on typical Space Paranoids clothing.
Personality: As an ISO, Enzo has a sort of humanity about him that is non-existent in most programs. Enzo’s extensive knowledge comes mostly from his conversations with his peers, rather than the abundant information in The Grid. Though Enzo is very cordial, calm, and collected (though these do describe Enzo, their main purpose here is for me to use alliteration!) in front of his fellow ISOs, the uniformity of Space Paranoids has caused him to be a closet adrenaline junky. Enzo constantly seeks to break free of the bounds of his own society, and he has nearly cultured himself not to accept the “status quo” (right,
or wrong). Enzo will compete regularly in light cycle competitions (though this is more for adrenaline, ironically, this is also seen as “barbaric” by his own people [ISOs]), and enjoys flying in light jets (as well as parachuting out of them).
Enzo is very bold in his actions, and is willing to offend nearly anyone if it means doing what he believes to be right. Unfortunately, some of this boldness comes from his naivety, but such a combination allows Enzo to share his thoughts freely and thoroughly. Though this has had some disastrous consequences for relationships in his own life, it is also what kept him from drinking the Bloodhound Elixir.
Bio: Enzo is a part of the first group of ISOs to be “re-engineered” by Sam and Quorra. Most of his life was lived solely to be outside of the “social norm,” doing things that offended both the programs and the ISOs. But, through recent events, the parasites have given him a purpose far beyond such trivial matters. One of the other ISOs, Solon, was seeking at perfecting a certain formula that would allow programs to transcend their mundane lives and be completely and wholly “happy.” His lust for knowledge, however, made him an easy target for the parasites to attack. Consumed by his desire for “program happiness,” Solon (led by the parasites) created the “Bloodhound Elixir,” it’s name given to it both for the recipients loyalty to the substance and the elixir’s dark red color.
The first unfortunate test subject of Solon happened to be Amara, who coincidentally, was Enzo’s significant other. Her results pleased Solon so much that he decided to send her as a sort of “ambassador,” to spread this “cure” to not only all of the programs, but the ISOs as well. Amara, wishing for Enzo to share in here fabricated happiness, approached him first. Enzo, however, rejected Amara, already seeing the negative effects the addictive substance was having on her. Enzo was not a stranger to burning bridges, but this rejection haunted him more than he expected.
After taking a few cycles of solitude out in the Outlands, Enzo returned to the inhabited part of the grid, hoping to make amends with Amara and stop her destructive course. However, by this time, it was too late for Enzo to do anything. Both the addictive qualities and the desire for “eternal” happiness caused the Bloodhound Elixir to spread like wildfire, and had put all programs in the grid out of commission. With nearly every program in a state of inaction, Enzo was easily able to take his light jet to the exit of Space Paranoids, and leave the world in search of an Elixir.
