Any of you play rts? If you do I recommend both Rome: Total War and am pretty sure Medieval II: Total War as well.

The Total War series isn't like most other cheesy rts... the campaign is turn-based but the battles are very realistic and realtime based, very historically accurate. The slighest details can determine the outcome of battle, like rain effecting artillary and bowstrings of missile troops.

And there's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing 20000 corpses sprawled out on a field after a battle.

I played Medieval: Total War. It was a damned fine strategy game. If the old PC would have run the program a little faster than a slideshow during combat, I just may have bought it back then.
