Don't know if this is stated yet...or maybe it was shown in the game...either way... maybe when Roxas went for the finishing blow in a scene Riku blocked his keyblade with his arm.....just a thought...

Heh, I always have a weird opinion on everything. Maybe Riku carries his arm in his pocket when he runs like I do. Or maybe he got it injured but never healed properly. It makes sense...if he's right handed, then that arm is likely to take more damage. That's why my arm kind of limps, slightly. If I fall, whatever, usually there's more damage on my right arm than my left. I'm right handed, so maybe Riku could be right handed and have something to do with it?
Or maybe it's from Roxas...I do agree that the wristband thing is either for show, or for helping during battle. Doesn't look half bad either, I'd say.

Maybe he has Geostigma! i don't know maybe he hurt it while fighting some heartless or nobodies...
Ever think he got hurt by roxas when he lost to him?or when he went to darkness?

, but i think my theory reads more deeply into it then Numora planed. It's Nomora-san, he does things like that, just look at the other charecters he has designed. I also don't think it wrong to make up a reason, even if non was intended.Spoiler Show

It is probably just for style. It would be awkward for Riku to have nothing on his hands after wearing those gloves in the first KH.
He limps because he was just recovering from the darkness. If I got hit with a machine that morphed me back into my old self, i'd be limping for weeks. Anyone would.

Yeah I agree when Roxas defeated Riku his arm likely got slashed but what happened after that did Riku just get right back up after he lost and come for round 2 or was he knocked out and Ansem found him. I don't remember ever finding out.
I saw that but I never really understood why he had those bandages on? 
Hey what if darkness or perhaps Ansem's darkness consumed that arm but then again at the end Riku looks fine so i guess that can't be right.
I noticed that too... is that the hand he fought Roxas with when he almost died.... u kno cz he "failed" to save sora or something like that... in the World That Never Existed... iuno i can't remeber.
well i think its bcause its an after affect of his of dark powers or because of that explosion when he turn to normal........but now i'm thinking its because of his battle with roxas so yeah roxas broke riku's arm

In kingdom hears 358/2 days when Riku battles Roxas you can see in the cut sence that Roxas hits Riku in the arm with his keyblade and that's te hand that he has bandaged in KH 2.
