Chapter I Haven't Updated In A While Don't Expect Me To Remember: Monsters (Matchbook Romance)

Gerard had peeered out the window as the pod landed on the grassy plains of the world of Disney Castle. Steam let out as the door had dropped down, letting the cool breeze blow through the opening into the pod. He stepped out, letting the dirt below him crunch. He took a couple steps forward and smelled the sweet air of the outside enter his lungs.

The myriad of grass blades had shone from the sun. It was cool and breezy. The blue skies above had looked down upon the endless plains that stretched to all sides. Gerard took his swords out the pod and put them into the sheathes on his back. He did a bit of stretching. He was a bit tired from the trip, but the oxygen flowing had helped him think.

The incessant footsteps from afar had grown louder and louder. Gerard looked down the path and watched as a large group of soldiers had marched towards him. The Royal Carriage has come to escort me to the castle! SWEET! Gerard thought happily in his head. The armor of the knights had clanked and clanked until they had ceased marching. Gerard took a headcount and found that there was about ten people. One knight stood in front. He rolled a parchment down and had began to recite it. "By the Order of the Disney Knights, we are to capture any outsiders traveling by Spaceship, Craft, Pod, and or shuttle. According to law number three ninety four, we are to send you to the Disney jail. There, you will be sent back to where ever you came from," the knight said.

Gerard was confused. "I thought you were the Royal Escort?"

"Yeah. The Royal Escort for you to jail. Now, if you will please," the knight said. Gerard had examined the knights. They were armed with swords, shields, and pikes. Fighting was not the best idea, nor the brightest. Assuming that the castle was behind them, it could've been possible to outrun them.

He walked back into the pod put on his jacket. He stepped back out again and pointed behind the pod. "LOOK!" he yelled. In uniform, they all did. Gerard had ran behind them. The dirt cruching constantly below his feet as he dug deeper into the ground, giving him steadier foorting.

Gerard had run faster and faster, but the sound of the familiar armor clanking louder and louder had grown closer and closer. Gerard looked back to see the knights charging towards him furiously. The quiet breeze was replaced with the sound of heavy armor clanking, and clanking. It was almost unbearable. Gerard looked forward and saw a castle. He knew for sure that it was the so called Disney Castle.

He had started to slow down. He looked back at a knight who easily caught up to him by horse. Gerard put his sheath between the legs of the horse and watched it fall over. He continued running and he had almost run out of breath. They were growing closer and closer. Gerard's situation grew dim.

In no time at all, they had caught up to Gerard. He was struck on the head and he had fell over. Opening his eyes, he found himself on a bed. He looked around to see a bunk on top of him. His clothes were replaced a shirt and pants with black and white horizontal pinstripes, which seemed too cliche. He looked past the cells and looked towards the end to see two familiar smiles. The smiles of Yuna and Asuka.

Chapter After Last Chapter: Clint Eastwood (Gorillaz)

Yuna and Asuka ran down to Gerard's cell as he covered his eyes with his hands. I left them for a reason, he thought. The cell opened and Gerard stood up. Yuna and Asuka wrapped their arms around Gerard. Their grip on him grew tightly the more he tried to escape. There is one way out of this. I must bite my torso off in an attempt to escape their grasps,[/I he rolled his eyes. Yuna stopped and looked at his face. It grew stern as the knight had unleashed him from his shackles.

As the chains fell to the ground, Gerard shook his wrists. He asked the guard for his clothes and he was led into a seperate room where he found his sword and his old clothes. After motioning the guard to get out, he replaced his droll jail uniform to his old clothes. He buttoned up his shirt and tightened his tie (which he had finally done for himself for the very first time without anyone helping him). He tightened his belt and buckled his shoes, wiping them with wrists.

He stepped out the room and took a deep breath. The guard whipered to Yuna. "He sure cleans up GOOD!" Yuna rolled her eyes at the guard. Gerard walked past Yuna and Asuka, through the door and into the garden. Outside was a grass hut with many flowers surrounding it. He took in a breath of fresh sunlight and the scent of flowers entered him. The sweet smell made him smile.

"So... Wanna do anything now that you're free?" Asuka smiled. She had looked at him enticingly, making Gerard swallow his words. From the halls, Sora had come up and called out a hello. Gerard nervously stepped away from Asuka and stepped forward towards Sora. Behind him, a large dog-like humanoid and a duck in clothes stepped from the shadows.

"MY WORD MONSTERS!" Gerard said holding up a sword.

"Gawrsh. You said he was nice, Sora," the dog thing said.

"HOLY CRAP YOU TALK!111!1!1" Gerard yelled.

"Yeah, and you're an idiot," the duck had squaked.

"Calm down Gerard. Goofy? This is Gerard. Donald? Gerard. Gerard? Goofy. Donald? Gerard!" Sora said making awkward hand gestures. Goofy held out his hand. Gerard stared at the large white glove on his hand. He shook it and kept a firm grip. He was bothered by the fact had he had worn gloves. What could be under those gloves? he asked himself. Donald held out his hand and Gerard had shook it as well.

"Can I speak with Queen Minnie?" Gerard asked Sora.

"Sure. We've set up an audience for you to speak with her. She's been waiting," Sora said. Gerard followed the three into a library. He was surrounded by the odd feeling of warmth he felt. Sora led him to the end of the room and introduced him to Queen Minnie. She turned her head and Gerard kept his face still. My word, she is repugnant, Gerard thought.

"Oh, hello. Gerard, right?" Minnie said in her squeaky voice.

"Yes," he said bowing.

"No need for pleasantries dear. I know why you're here. You're here to get information on Sy, find him, fight him, beat him, save Rikku, and live happily ever after, no?"

"Yes?"

"It won't be that easy, y'know. You should take some proper preparation before you leave just in case. You plan to leave alone?" Minnie asked. Gerard looked over at Yuna and Asuka's expectant eyes and nodded 'yes'. "Hmm... Well, let me explain. There is a world called the Island of Time. That's where Sy and Rikku are. But if you don't hurry, you'll be late. But on the Island of Time, time is nothing but mere illusion. You can travel back and forth. That's how Sy finished his training quickly, correct?"

"How can I get there?"

"Don't worry. I have my engineering crew working on a ship for you. They'll input coordinates and such so you don't have to worry yourself. For now, get some rest. In the morning, you'll be off before you know it. Alright?" Minnie smiled. Gerard bowed once more and gave her his thanks. "I'll have one of my butlers escort you to your room," she smiled.

"Thank you. Queen Minnie," Gerard smiled.

Chapter ... 30?: There Is... (Box Car Racer)

Gerard stepped into his cold room. Inside he found a large bed covered in crimson sheets. He laid his equipment to the floor, shutting the door behind him. He laid flat on the bed, slowly inhaling. He turned over and stared upwards at the ceiling. He held his foot high in an attempt to reach it, but unfortunately, with the ceiling fifteen feet away, this was impossible.

He had left his room in order to escape the cold inside and discover the garden. Sitting on a bench he stared at the rose bush on his right. He watched as the sunlight entered the dew drops. The eyes brightened at the sight of more flowers surrounding him. The quiet gust had enabled the flowers to shift from left to right. He inhaled the sweet air and looked up at the blue sky.

Later on, he had found himself sitting on the roof of the castle. He examined the walking broom sticks walking around and doing daily chores. The sight of Sora sparring with Donald and Goofy caught his eye, seeing as to how Goofy smacked Sora in the back of the head. Gerard rolled his eyes as a large group of broomsticks carried him off.

As the night ended, he had finished his dinner with Minnie, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Yuna, and Asuka. "I'm finished for tonight. Thank you Queen Minnie. It was an honor," he smiled. Asuka had tried to call him back, but Minnie rose her hand and she was muted. Gerard made his way to his bed and locked the door to his room just in case. He laid on the bed and shut his eyes.

Looking back on the day, he felt a bit calmer than he did when he arrived, just before the horde of soldiers came to "escort" him, that is. One last time for the night, he opened his eyes. He stuck his foot up in the air, trying to reach the ceiling, but once again unsuccessful. I bet this'll be harder than getting Rikku back from Sy, he joked to himself.

It was midnight. The cool wind had flew in from the window. But what was peculiar, was that he didn't open it. Gerard shivered in the cold as two arms had held him tightly. He felt a growing warmth in front of him. He opened his eyes groggily. Wavy brown hair had covered bits of her face, but Gerard was sure it was Yuna. He had whispered to her softly. "Yunie?" he asked.

"Yeah?" she whispered back. She laid bare in front of him.

"Where's Asuka?"

"She's back in the room,"

"Why are you here?"

"Well, y'know... I thought you'd use some company,"

"I was fine when I went to sleep. Why would I need you now?"

"Well, it IS your last night with us. And well, we don't know if we're going to see you again..."

"You'll see me," Gerard chuckled. "It's just that I'll be with Rikku. Surely," he smiled. It was quiet. Yuna couldn't let the words she wanted to say out of her mouth. Her eyes were tearing up, but because she kept them closed, they had seeped through her eyelids.

"Gerard?"

"Yeah?"

"Please, don't go... Stay with me," she pleaded. Gerard was shocked.

"Why?"

"I don't want you getting hurt... And if you stay with me... Rikku and Sy will be happy, and we'll be together!"

"I'm not giving Rikku up without a fight. You know that,"

"Please Gerard... I love you," she said. It was another quiet moment. Gerard pressed his lips against hers one last time.

"I can't," he smiled at her.
