I feel it; I love it. If it never happens, I'm okay too.

I still wonder if we'll even see TAV again in the next game though... So much about what's going to happen post-3 feels up in the air. We could see more of them, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't either. The only problem is Aqua is the series' most popular female character. It would be unfortunate for her to disappear.

This was a concern of mine initially, as well. I felt like TAV/RAX/Namine had nice endings and had all been saved, so I was concerned this was the end of them. But then I realized, well Ven is going to be a large part of UX and likely the future of KH so how can Terra/Aqua just let him go off and not be involved at all? As well as, Lea/Isa will likely have a large involvement due to apparently being solely motivated by X, so I doubt Roxas/Xion will stand idly by while their friends are out there.

And like Audo said, the new 'game' looks to be 13 Lights versus the 7 Masters, so they kind of have to stay around.

I'm a firm believer in "finessing your friends", has disney reached so far into your souls you have to pair something romantically almost automatically or on the merit of bias? Honest question here, one that is concerning if you answer yes lol.

Clearly. I'm perfectly content for everyone to just be friends, regardless of if I like certain couples. Other people, don't seem to be content with that.

If they need 13 Lights to fight the 7 new Darkness then Terra Aqua and Ventus will be back

I like the idea of 13 Lights v. 7 Darknesses: TAV + RAXI + SRK is 10. Then Mickey and Namine. I wonder who #13 would be. Bring Riku Replica back.

Personally, I’d rather they just make the 13 lights the Disney princess line, lol. SW, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana, Rapunzel, Elsa, Anna, Moana + Kairi and Namine. If KH is going to enter another "saga" though, they could do both, I guess (1 plot with PoH Lights in one game and another game with 13 GoLs.)

Yes, at least it would be concrete proof. The only consequence is a bunch of soap opera-esque fanfiction where Sora has to break Kairi's heart into a million, little pieces first before he ends up with Riku now.

I’d rather have fun going along with fanfics because to stick to canon means that no one except Sora Donald Goofy understands how to socialize with each other in ways that don’t involve ice cream, hearts, darkness and light.
I love that KH3 brought in things like in-universe games and social media posts, as the KH universe really needed that inner-life.

Honestly, does it even matter which ships are canon? If every fanwork had to adhere to the same exact pairs, it'd be so samey and dull. I, for one, welcome fanworks that explore character dynamics and romantic pairings that are distinct and diverse, 'cause seeing the same old Sora/Kairi across literally thousands of fics is just kinda eh.

But this is me, that one weird Kairi fan who doesn't like SoKai. (More of a RiKai gal, but I know it ain't happening ever.)

Honestly, though, I gotta agree that Sora's overall chemistry with a lot of the other characters he interacts with is stronger. And I say this not to bash Kairi- as I said, I do like her, but I feel like the games totally dropped the ball and the manga is the best depiction of Kairi out there.

And it's not canon. Alas!

As for Riku and Namine, I'm just salty Riku Replica didn't get saved when literally everyone else did. He's the one who sacrificed himself for Namine, so I feel like he has the stronger connection. Alas!

I thought, initially, it would be Donald and Goofy instead of Isa. But if it's Isa, it's probably also X. I imagine they'll delve more into the new 7 Hearts as well...

Oh that's easy, number two. Unlike Rokunami Xion and Roxas knew each other for over a year. Same with Namine and Riku. The best relationships are built from both parties getting to know each other well enough over a long period of time.

Not that I'm saying they will become romantic but at least they have something to build from

It's a very idealistic, and therefore off, view of relationships.

Ventus gaining his Chirithy back seems to me like quite a connection and foreshadowing for the future plot as he's heavily involved with the era and the other characters hailing from it, including "Subject X" which I mostly suspect to be Skuld.

In turn I'd say it's obvious that Terra and Aqua won't let him face those new challenges alone so I don't see why the BBS trio out of all the saved major characters would/should be "pushed to the background".
They have the one character among them tied directly to the era which forms the groundwork for the new saga.

I'd still prefer Roxas and Xion to Roxas and Nams. I just... don't get Roxas and Namine as a ship? They barely knew each other, whereas Roxas and Xion had an entire year to grow close, and their chemistry feels more natural.

Sora and Namine? I could dig it, even if that ship's long since sailed, but meh.

Yeah this, I don't see TAV going anywhere. I guess I could see Ven taking the center stage over the other two? But also, Aqua has been getting pushed a lot, so maybe they know people like her and won't let her just become a side character?
