John Woo brings us a lovely film about the battle at Red Cliff (That's Chi Bi to Dynasty Warriors players). It's about two and a half hours long and has brilliant warfare scenes. Think if 300 was a little bit less silly.

There's another film being released called Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon. They're both adapted from the story in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms but different films.

Red Cliff is a brilliant film. It's got enough character development to keep you as interested as you need to be, the warfare is brilliantly done and there's even some very funny scenes. I think it won't be in cinemas very long so I'd advise to see it on a cinema screen while you can.

They call him Gan Xing in the film.
Also featuring Sun Quan, Xioa Qiai, Zhou Yu, Lui Bei, Guan Yu, Zhao Yun, Zhang Fei, Kong Ming, Cao Cao. Maybe some others that are also in DW but I forget.
