So, why is Ansem SOD and emblem heartless while Sora, who released his own heart just as Ansem did, a pure blood heartless?

I also realize I misspelled randomish in the title. My bad! I'm typing this from my phone.

Is Ansem a emblem heartless? I don't think he was one (he had an emblem neckless if that counts)

Ansem SoD/XH wasn't an Emblem Heartless; those are made by machine. If anything, he was a special Pureblood Heartless, although honestly, it's debatable whether or not he really was a Heartless in general.

He had an emblem on his chest and then a huge emblem that cover's his whole body when he fuses with the guardian into that vessel (my sig pic). Idk, you'd think he is a pureblood, but I've always been curious as to why he has the emblems then.

Gosh people, that guy invented this emblem so it's not that surprising he wears it as an accessory.
After all, he's also the supreme commander of the Heartless and therefore shows his allegiance to them.

It doesn't really point towards what type of Heartless he is since Ansem SoD always was a very special case, even more so than Sora.
