Just watched the BBS leaked trailer and just thought of something. This ties in to one of my old theories, but I can't remember which; I believe Archetype and the one before last. I don't remember it's name.

Master Xehanort mentioned Ven losing something. One would suspect that he's talking about Ven's heart, and that'd be natural to think. Now, because I have absolutely no facts, [or as much as I think for such a lazy attempt] I'm wondering about Ven's Keyblade. What if Ven was losing his ability to wield a Keyblade?

Ven's losing his ability to wield, or his time is up for him to be his specific Keyblade's chosen one; or even his heart is weakening by the events of BBS. Without a strong heart to wield it, the Keyblade seems so half assed, thus breaking in the FM+ trailer. And this seems to be such wierdness.

And every time we see Ven, he's either with Terra safe, or is/has already gotten his ass beat. This makes me think that Ven is not that much skilled with a Keyblade as everyone thinks he is. He can barely get prectice in because he can't completely use it.

eh, whatever.

Interesting point about how he can't quite seem to "get it up"... as it were... (lol)

I was more inclined to think that MX was talking about Ven's memories, but... meh... Your thought on this is more interesting; we've never really been in that kind of situation before, have we? (We've already had memory loss in KH, but not Keyblade loss quite like what you're referring to).

That actually makes sense. Both Terra and Aqua come out as powerful or at least capable in the sense that they've got it together at least mentally (well... bursts of rage seem to work for Terra when all else fails).
It seems kind of odd though, didn't he tell Terra not to rely on him? Guess whatever caused Terra to rely on him was a fluke :O

KH1's Hollow Bastion. Riku taking the Keyblade from Sora - Sora's Heart was shaken due to everything that happened up to that point while Riku kept his cool.
Then Sora refound his strength and retook the Keyblade because Riku was too busy being shocked Sora could actually continue existing without Riku caring about him.

Here's the dialogue between MX and Ven
Ven: Who are you (and looks shocked to see MX)
MX: Seem's that your losing it. However, you haven't lost it permanently. In order to obtain it, give up. Now recover everything and discover the truth (he summons a sort of power)

MX wants to know "the truth" (whatever that is), and I think Ven knew it at one point. i think ven lost his memories, and MX needs Ven's heart to unlock his memories and the truth, so he summons this dark power.

Like I said "quite like that"... I was referring to the thought of him losing the ability, not having it taken away from him. I said it that way intentionally, with that scene in mind :bored:.

MX already did something to his heart because Terra said"What have you done to his heat", maybe that is why ven wants to be erase because he feels useless, or in the way..^^

i hardly doubt ven looses the keyblade. and if the secret ending is taking place at the end of BBS, Ven is part of the fight.

Ability to wield = Strong Heart.
Heart weakening = losing ability to wield.
Keep in mind that specific case was very special since the Keyblade was originally to be Riku's (or something), so Sora losing his ability to wield = the Keyblade was taken back to Riku.

The "truth"? By the way that looks, MX knows the truth and Ven simply doesn't care about "the truth"
So tell me, what is the truth? I'm only asking because you seem to know exactly what MX is talking about.

And because it has happened before you're expecting memories? Of course he loses his memories, but I'm talking about in addition. This thread does not deal in memories. In addition to losing memories, he's losing his ability to wield. And you're doubting this based on what?

He lost his keyblade quite nicely when it broke. We've never seen anything like this before, quite possibly showing him losing his ability to wield. The Keyblade has been described as the strength of the Wielder's Heart, and it if weakens as it hinted happening to Ven, who's to say that's not a possibly 'symptom'?

Yeah. To me its 33,3333..% chances each, that he is either losing heart, memory or keyblade. Now why would he be losing his keyblade? It must connect to MX´s words: "..is not qualified to wield the keyblade.."

I think that different keyblades have different qualifications, u know.. With Kingdom Key it´s stronger heart, but with Ven´s keyblade/weapon it might be different.

Hmm.. I always wondered that they broke his keyblade to show that after MX attacks Ven, his career as keyblade wielder is OVER.

To me it seems more about memories than an ability. Though a lot of people surmise that memories are heavily tied with the Keyblade. If you've lost your memories of wielding one, you don't know how to summon it. So maybe slowly Ven is losing his memories, and thus his ability to wield?

I know you might not agree on this one, but it's also been hinted before that sealing Memories = sealing Abilities and powers.
Namine offered Riku to seal his Memories of the Darkness and thus the Darkness itself (or the other way around, but the connection is still there).
Roxas couldn't quite wield the Keyblade and had to use a Digital one until he remembered more of who he really was.

And then you say that Memories are stored in the Somebody's Heart and poof it's all connected nicely XD
