Well, that's true. We need random battles, no wait. I like to see an enemy on the field screen. Cause if you don't feel like battling, you can evade them. But maybe if we watch close enough, we can see a Behemoth spill some gil from his wallet, and he'd need to pick it up with his gianourmous paws. Haha.

And becuz we want to train and receive more EXP and AP from different monsters. First you get primative monsters, that give 10 EXP and 1 AP, and we end with monsters that give 99999 EXP and 100 AP!

And hey, we like to see more monsters right? Why does a game have more monsters? Becuz we like change...

If you keep get a Bite Bug or a Flun the whole game long, you'll dislike the game...thats why.

Yeah. Totally. I don't wanna keep fighting Flans and what else...those are kinda boring. I like fighting Omega Weapons and Behemoths. Those are cool. Like in Kingdom Hearts. I hated fighting those Greem Reiquem and the other elements. Those were boring. But I'm tellin ya, we might be able to see a Flan drop it's wallet, and gill will fall on the floor, and then we pop out, and kill it, and take his gill. I feel bad for those squishy things, but it's a dog eat dog world.

Anyway, the real reason that "animals" drop gil and equipment is because they are people dressed in costume. Think about: people that want the hero to succeed dress up in costume, and fight the hero. There wins, and then the "animal" drops gil for the hero to take. Everyone said that the hero wouldn't make it without gil... so the hero needs help from "animals"
