Yay, the series didn't get deep sixed like Mega Man did after all.

I wouldn't worry about a localization for AA5. There were a lot of other factors that stopped AAI2 from making it over (Although Capcom could have went about explaining it better...) Good to see they're finally using those HD art assets they've been sitting on for 11 years.

You can find two extra screens of HD PW here.

Godot in HD = EPIC
Coffee in HD; Godot approves.

The coffee that's supposed to be in Godot's hand is (very obviously) cropped out for some weird reason.

Yeah, I know. The higher resolution art just makes the cropping stick out more.

Fantastic! I hope that the "not localizing" issue stemmed from AAI2's status as a spin-off....
I could care less about Edgeworth's mediocre side-games, but this game needs to come overseas.

Re: Ace Attorney 5

AAI2 not being localized probably stemmed from the fact that

- The first Edgeworth game didn't do so hot (At least, probably not up to Capcom's standards)

- By the time the localization would have been done, they'd be launching on a near dead platform. I imagine they didn't think that launching a sequel to a game that had a pretty lukewarm reception on a handheld that's been pushed to the side (Regardless of 3DS' backwards compatibility) was profitable. (They probably would have had a hell of a time getting retailers to stock it, too.)

My problem is with how they went about announcing that they had no plans to bring it over. They tried to use the sales of other DS games to justify their decision not to bring it over. (They used Okamiden as a specific example and said AAI did worse than Okamiden. It later came out that AAI did better than Okamiden in sales)

Phoenix's days are over. His games were meant to be the trilogy.

It's Apollo's time now.

Re: Ace Attorney 5

Yeah, Wright's time is over. I don't like how they twisted his character in Apollo though, at all. He went from being this clunky, electric, loveable cluts to some weird, calm guy. And in the flashbacks that come relatively close in time to the final case, he acts like his old self. It didn't make much sense at all why they drove him in that direction. He does talk about taking the bar exam again at the end of Apollo, though probably jokingly. I like Apollo much more though. His sarcastic attitude feels much more relatable, hard to explain why I like him so much.
