You've already heard my opinion on the subject.

There's much better horror literature out there.

Your version of scared and most other people's are way different. R.L. Stine is not scary, but I've real quite a bit of adult horror that was.

I agree with you he really isn't scary I just find the books to be interesting.

Once you've read three, you can predict the plot/ ending to every one of them.

That makes it difficult for me to enjoy a book.

They used to be good.
But it seems like he's spitting out far too many of them.
Or maybe I just grew out of them.

R.L. Stine <3

His books were always so amazing back in the day.

Read all of the ones our school's libraries had.

And Fear Street is even worse, before someone mentions those.

A few of them creeped me out when I was younger, but it was mostly the cover art that did that. Now...not so much. Sure, it's not high literature, but it's alright.

I remember reading one of the books though, "How I learned to Fly". It was interesting in that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT WAS MILDLY SCARY OR CREEPY. Srsly, the kid makes an ooze that teaches him to fly, then his rival steals it and becomes famous. The end.

Also, the show was hilarious. I've never seen people act so badly, before.

Lmao.

In hindsight, they were pretty bad books. I could have probably written one myself, as they are all written in the same format, just substituting the characters names and scenario each time.

Also, I'm sure I could read one in half an hour xD

But when I was younger, I think I read the first 50. Lollll.

I never had any interest in reading them.

I was more into fairy tales and mysteries back then, in my childhood. D:

But, from what I've seen, they're not that scary. Then again, it's more or less made to scare children, not adults.

People in my class are OBSESSED with Goosebumps books.

As for me, I've only read one and it was actually really good (i can't remember what it was called though lol)
and I saw one of the movies and it was okay.....

but I'm not really a fan. I know many books that are a lot better.

I agree with Pel and Enchanted Rose. They're not really that great.

I remember there was a show based on the books though, and the Living Dummy episode scared the shit out of me.

I was around seven or so.

At the very top of the Great Crystal in Giruvegan.
I bet I am the only one who here who liked the fear street books and the ones before goosebumps better.

However I bet very few, if any people here know this, he actually wrote an adult horror novel.

I didn't think it was that good though.

I really like Stephen King for horror, but none of his books ever actually scared me. For me it takes movies.

where it's at.
His books never scared me, and were the most predictable things,
but i loved them.

Anyone seen the goosebumps tv show? I have to say, very 90's.
