Hey this is a quick and easy question i need to know.

i just got to the absent silhoutes (the organization fights)

and once you beat one of them can you refight them as many times as you want or you can only beat them once?

Well, once you beat the Sillhouetes, they're gone for good, but you can fight them as many times as you want in the Garden of Assemblage in Hollow Bastion.

No. The sillhouetes are battles with the CoM Organization members. Just them. As for what they are... I have no idea. I'm not inclined to think they're canon.

Well, you have to go through a new area, the Cave of Remembrance. It's not easy, but if you can make it towards the end, you'll reach the Garden of Assemblage, where you can fight ALL the members of the Organization. From Xemnas to Roxas, every single one of them can be fought as many times as you want.

Ditto for Terra/Lingering Sentiment.

It's in Hollow Bastion. You can only get there after a certain point in the game, however. If you don't skip any cutscenes, you'll be able to guess when that point is. I think it's when you see Sephiroth for the first time...

I warn you, though: going there underleveled is suicide.

ok wait. im in the garden and only the org members from kh2 are there. none of the CoM members. can i only fight them through those portals in the other worlds? or can they be unlocked in the garden?

if they CAN be unlocked in the garden, do they go away for good after you fight them in the garden too, or in the garden can you fight them as many times as you want but just not in the other worlds?

For a member to show up in the garden, you have to beat it in the storyline first. No, every member in the garden can be fought infinitely once you unlock him.

When you beat the Absent Sillhouetes, the CoM Organization members will show up in the Garden. The Absent Sillhouetes are scattered throughout the worlds. I know Lexaeus is in Twilight Town in the Sandlot, that Zexion is in Olympus Colisseum, that Marluxia is in Beast's Castle, and I think that Larxene is in Port Royal. I've no idea where Vexen is.

I checked Wikipedia and it said something of "Weapons imprinted by "shadows" of Organization members that died in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories that appear throughout Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, where they take the form of their respective members when challenged. These "shadows" are named "Absent Silhouettes" by the game."
2. Yes. BTW, you can find Vexen's Absent Silhouette in Agrabah.
