What is up with the censors on swearing as of recently?

Certain members started acting inappropriately via flaming, spam etc. excessively, so censoring was put into place to prevent more harm from being done. Basically to make the forum a bit cleaner, for how long this will be in place I do not know but at the very least till hostilities drop a tad lower.
