Hello, I tried asking this on a gamefaqs board, hopefully you could please excuse me for just reposting what I had typed there, as I am not so eloquent with my words, hopefully someone would be so kind as to read through it and try to help me out, I'd really appreciate it, thank you:
Hello, I played through the first kingdom hearts again when I got the hd collection and I'm about to start chain of memories, but when I looked to make sure that was the next game that was released I noticed that 358/2 days came out AFTER kingdom hearts 2, so my question is, should I wait til kingdom hearts 2.5 hd comes out? Are there any spoilers at all even tiny ones that 358/2 days would give away to kingdom hearts 2 if I played it first? I can't stand things being ruined for me, which is why I'm asking here instead of trying to research it myself, anyway hope someone can clear this up for me, thanks.
after this someone was kind enough to post a link to the chronological order of the series and to let me know that it was only cutscenes which wasn't exactly the info I was looking for and I tried to clarify with this:
Thank for for the link, I do see the game is set in between 1 and 2, and I was aware it was just the cutscenes, but I'm still worried because this was released so many years after 2 that it will operate under the assumption that you have played 2 already and give away plot details. If I could use Star Wars as an example, the prequels are obviously set before the original 3, but if you watched them in order it would totally kill the most iconic defining moment of the series, shockingly finding out likes fathers identity, just don't want something like that to happen
hopefully someone here can help, and sorry for such a long question, I hope I'm clear in what I'm trying to find out, really appreciate anyone who takes all the time to read this for me.
