Question about Final Mix

Aerith: Do you remember seeing a man with spiky hair at the coliseum?
Sora: Yup.
Aerith: I wonder if he’s still searching for his friend?
Aerith: Sora. If you see him, please tell him to be careful. He’s not that friendly, but we all care about him dearly.

I was wondering if anyone here knows if this dialogue with Aerith only happens *if* the Sephiroth/Cloud battle cutscene is triggered, or if it happens *before*? I can't find it in any walkthroughs and I've heard that the window of opportunity to see this scene is very brief.

I personally haven't triggered this scene, but it seems like you could only trigger the scene after the story part of the coliseum. As you fight cloud during the games.

Yes, it can happen before. I never fully tested it, but I usually get that line somewhat during after the Hercules Cup and Hollow Bastion's first visit (aka when I remember Aerith exists and I talk to her)
Definitely earlier than even unlocking Sephiroth.
