Proud Mode

Well, i have tried proud mode time and time again and every time i just get so ticked because i get stuck somewhere. I'm currently level 38 on my return to beast's castle to defeat Xaldin.
It's basically pretty hard, and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to do, or how to make things easier?

( it would be nice if no pricks came here to tell me how easy proud mode was, thanks )

finisher plus is nice, so is reflect.

lol what i did was use beast's limit thing that worked, stay away from him when he starts glowing, go to the far edge of the bridge when he does glow. and switch in goofy later on.

I had the same problem. I just went to POTC, completed that world and when I came back to Xaldin I was more than lvled up enough.

if you're having trouble with xaldin, i assume that you're used to button-mash your enemies to death.
you should block his stabbing move or jump over the spear-fanning and "learn" as much as you can. then unload all your jumps and tie a combo to you last jump. if he uses jumps on you, use quickrun or normal jumping to evade them and "learn" again.
the first part of his desperate move can be easiy guarded, the giant wind-blow can be evaded by quick-running through it (get as close as you can before pushing square).
after he uses his DM for the first time the battle gets a little messy, because hes teleporting around a lot. use aerial dodge, quick run or dodge roll to evade his attacks till you find opportunities to "learn".

skip the beast level and just go on to Halloween town, the decisive pumpkin keyblade helps alot!

you'll find no pricks here. Believe me, I've played Proud mode twice and I've fought Xaldin about 30 times. Use Knocksmash. At the beginning of the battle it can do some serious damage. Later in the battle when he starts to do the "invincible" combo make sure not to use it until he's done. Keep as many elixirs as you can get a hold of. You always want to have enough mp to use a powerful limit or heal yourself. I don't know if you are or not, but being good at timing reflect is huge. It provides a lot of opportunities to use Learn. Jump may not do much damage, be it stuns him while keeping you out of harm. GOOD LUCK!

Just use reflect when he uses his Dragon Beam of Doom, and udnerstand that you need the "Jump" Command to defeat him. Seriously. That's not hard. Critical Mode Luxord Data Fight is hard =/.

I lol'd again. If he's fighting Xaldin, how on Earth would he have to defeat Demyx's second fight if that was like 2 worlds ago.

haha.
i leveled up to forty and came back and actually defeated him the second time with the gull wing keyblade! :O

but, i just needed a little leveling up and it was much easier; and reflect worked with that crazy beam.

You should go and lvl. up a bit because I don't think you can beat him at that lvl.

Xaldin's a pussy. You cna beat him at any level if you know what you're doing; depends what you're having trouble with.

Reflect at the right times, spam the Learn and Jump Reaction Commands, and when he uses the Wind of Despair, just use Wisdom Form's dash to run faster than it.
