I'm sure this has been asked multiple times, but what is the official pronunciation of the members of Organization XIII? I'm sure I've been pronouncing a good amount of them incorrectly and I'd like to change that. It started as a bit of a disagreement on the pronunciation of Saix and I started questioning my pronunciation of the names.

From what I remember from the games (hyphens just for readability)

Xemnas - Zem-nus
Xigbar - Zig-bar
Xaldin - Zal-din
Vexen - Vecks-en
Lexaeus - lex-ee-us
Zexion - Zecks-e-on
Saix - Sigh-x
Axel - Axel/Axle :p
Demyx - Dem-ix
Luxord - Lucks-ord (I'm guessing on this one, as I don't recall his name ever being pronounced)
Marluxia - Mar-loo-Sha
Larxene - Larks-een
Roxas - Rocks-us (hehe)
Xion - She-own/She-on

Luxord's name is pronounced loo-cks-ord (I put loo and cks separate because of the hard oo sound that his name is pronounced as)

Makes sense since he's all about luck based games (which is why I thought it was luck-sword)

Zexion's is Zex-ian

Bu yes, with the exception of Luxord, every member's had their name pronounced in cutscenes.

As a comparison here are the Japanese names: (Remember that a "u" is often silent)

Zemu-Nasu ("Zemnas")
Shigu-Baaru ("Shigbar")
Zaru-Din ("Zaldin")
Viku-Sen ("Veexen")
Reku-Se-usu ("Lecksayoos")
Saikusu ("Sykes")
Aku-Seru ("Aksel")
De-Mikusu ("Dehmiks")
Ruku-Soodo ("Looksword")
Maa-Ruu-Sha ("Marloosha")
Raku-Shiinu ("Larkscene")
Roku-Sasu ("Rocksas")
Shi-On ("Sheon")

While it certainly would make sense for Luxord to be pronounced "Luck-sword", as in Luxor, and all the casino-gambling similarities, his Japanese name suggests it is to be pronounced "Look-sword".

Might be right, but I thought in English, the name was pronounced "Z" -igbar rather than "Sh" - igbar? So slight differences in the English and Japanese pronunciations for some of the names (even /luxord ;)

and yeah I was supposed to write Zecks-ian but for some reason didnt :)

He wasn't saying that the pronunciations are exactly the same in both languages, just that it's easier to tell what the intended one is if you use the japanese as a root.
