It's not just the VA work. They have to sync it too.

There is more things they have to do before they can release a game. Translating, Localizing, etc.
They just start the VA Process a lot earlier because it makes more logical sense since that is one of the pieces that takes the most.
You also have to consider that they need ample time to market the game and what not.
Oh boy. No one EVER said that they were doing VA nonstop from October to a June-August release.
There is more things they have to do before they can release a game. Translating, Localizing, etc.

They can do marketing while finishing VA. Translating should'nt take any longer than a month. Localization would'nt take very long.

When VA starts does not indicate when the game will be released.
English VA work for KH2 was originally going to be done in the early development of the Japanese KH2 development, but it was still planned on the game releasing months after the Japanese game.
Just because they start VA work early does not mean that it can be out in time.
Also given that they are STILL developing the game, they can't really start localizing and translating it until it is actually finished.

Yeah but they must be finished with the game by now, no DS game should take this long to be made. I think it's been delayed so they can have a simultaneous release date. They are just giving time so they have the NA version ready for a simultaneous release.

I like the simple box art, the price is surprising, and Im a get it when it comes out. I don't really trust the post office. I remember once the mail man gave me mail and it wasn't even my address nor any of my families mail. I kept quiet, cause he was in a hurry. Thanks for the info vice.

Actually, it keeps on getting delayed because they want PS2 level graphics, and every few months or so the technology available improves, so then they can fit more/better stuff in, delaying the game.
It was in some interview, but I forget which one.

I still say it does'nt take nearly a year for things to be done for a NA release. It can be done in 4-5 months. and since this is a DS game it would only take 2-4 months. Which between october-spring is still plenty of time.

You still don't get it, do you?
The start of recording for VA work =/= the time the rest of the game is being localized.
There is absolutely no way the game was finished in October if they decided to delay it two months later. It just doesn't work like that. Apply your '2-4' month thing to when the Japanese version is released and then you'd have it correct.
