Alright the availabilty of KH3 on XONE was heavily unexpected and really offensive to me as a long-time fan; KH to me was a Sony and Nintendo franchise, not a Sony and Microshift franchise. But, all hope may not be lost. I know Square Enix has KH3 on XONE because of its financial situation, however wouldn't it be smarter to release it on ALL THREE of the systems? I know it would have to be tailored for the lower powered Wii U but I really do not want this game to crash and burn under the XONE, but at the same time I also would love to see the gamepad be used.

Re: possibility of a Wii U version

Not likely. The Wii U has the same problem the original Wii did in that the hardware confirguration has made it more difficult to make a gaem that can use the systems functions properly

Re: possibility of a Wii U version

Development for another console costs both time and money; it's essentially an opportunity lost. Whatever resources they could put into a Wii U version could have been used to either improve the PS4/X1 versions, or have them out faster. Not to mention, given the Wii U's noticeably different style of gameplay, a Wii U version would mostly likely end up deviating from the core gameplay, which is something unnecessary for a game like KH3. That's how I see it, anyways; KH3 should be a game based more so on tradition than innovation.

I'd love to see a KH title on the Wii U someday, but I'd rather they save that moment for a game other than KH3.

I still want a Wii U Version only because I've been only buying Nintendo platforms recently.
I can't afford to watch a playthrough of the whole KH3 missing out on everything.

PS4 & XB1 are basically custom PCs, using the same x86 architecture as a modern computer. The Wii U is sunk not just by having weaker specs but a different architecture which would require much more work to port a game.

EDIT: no wait, apparently Wii U uses the same architecture afterall. Nevermind.

Actually, I think making KH3 available for all three systems could be plausible if Square decided it wanted to get some more money. Despite the obvious differences between PS4 and Xbox One and the Wii U, if it meant another market they could appeal to, I'm pretty sure they'd go for it. After all, Disney is still prominent in the Kingdom Hearts series, so all the mommies and daddies would surely buy their kids that new game with Donald Duck and Goofy and some brown haired kid swinging a giant key.

Of course, to actually do it this far in the series seems a bit unlikely.

If KH had been coming to PS3 then I could have seen it coming to Wii U as well, but the fact that it is instead coming to the next gen consoles means that they're probably not going to bring it to Wii U as well. I'm not an expert on specs or anything like that, but from what I've seen and heard about the Wii U it is basically Nintendo catching up to the current gen and bringing out an HD console, so the Wii U is about the same in terms of hardware as the PS3? If it is then I doubt it would be able to handle the same level of graphics whilst maintaining a good frame rate like the newer consoles can (or at least the PS4 can). Also, the Wii U doesn't have Blu-Ray so KH3 would probably have to be several disks.

No, you were right, the Wii U uses the PowerPC architecture.
