We each post a poem we have written and then the next person rates it perhaps or comments what they like/dislike, ya know...

ok I'll go first!

The Life of Grass
Sitting in the field all day,
Watching all the young kids play.
Tag, soccer, hide-and-seek,
Passing a soccerball all the week.
Tons of tiny shoes trampling,
Ouch! One just hit me on the landing.
The sun shining all its mass,
all in the life of a blade of grass.

The Thylacine

In Tasmania, years ago,
there was a animal, incredible so

zoos took and kept
but captivity meant many deaths.

hunted by farmers who invaded your land,
no-one offered you a helping hand.

now that your gone, people regret
but from the start, your fate was set.

but thylacine, are few of you kind still in existance?
reports of your kind do happen,

but you have become

a cryptozoology legend.

if your species still roam,
reveal youself only to kind people

who will yet again let you live in your rightful home.


hhow was that? it's about the Tasmanian Tiger, or thylacine

It's raining
The clouds are speaking to one another
then they speak to me
They say..
You are nothing, just a foolish girl.
I look down, I say...

Why be something I am not?!?
All I am is a speck of dirt on a beautiful window called
The world.
I do not belong here..
If i die, no one will give a tear..
Just a sigh of relief.

Kin Of Fafnir

Wisps of smoke
among the mist

tell the tale
of a beast of scales.

one that fears not humans,
or any other beast.

because that is on which it feeds.

four footed, two wings,
armoured body,
and sails on the breeze.

a mouthful of fangs,
and a crested head.

weapon of flame,
fights to the death.

the beast described is

a dragon, the kin of Fafnir.
The child of the dragon, the legend.

A new flower blooms in the day.
Wind blowing like a crying baby.
The sun smiles and laughs as it plays.
Leaves talking and moving about, just maybe.

Bees frolicking through the flowers.
Clouds crying when they get hurt by others.
Standing proud just like towers.
The flowers staying with their mothers and brothers.

Leaves tripping and falling to the ground.
Wind getting up and leaving everyone, blowing things along the way.
Pumpkin faces staring back at you, menacingly.
Food always filling you up but still feeling empty.

Bare trees shivering in the cold world.
Snow resting on the grass.
The flower closes in this mess.
Until spring comes again and this winter will pass.

Rise and Fall

Eons ago there were great reptiles,
they ruled the skies, the sea, the land,
but after eons, they fell to fate's hand.

I will tell you of their long existance,
and then of their great demise.

first there was the Coeliophysis, fast and small
along with the Plateosaurus, both relatives.

They went on to be T-rex, Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus
others branched off to be the Iguanodon and Ankylosaurus.

Predators bore, some human-sized killers
Like Deinonynchus and Velociraptor, armed with sickle-shaped claws.
But some were giants, like T-rex, Gigiantosaurus,
And the 50-ft Spinosaurus.

But one day, somthing changed.
A terrible thing happened,
Dinosaurs everywhere were maimed,
bones broken, the animals dying and suffocating-
What was happening?

Earth was restless, volcanos erupting,
spewing ash into the air, causing rivers of fire.
But that was just the start.

A meteor, countless miles long,
smashed into the Earth,
darkness for long.

That was the life and death of some of the dinosaurs,
i say only some because the large ones perished,
but the small ones

took to the air-living on today.

Fear of Angels

You want to get away
from the things that take away your pain
You know that your heart goes deeper than its seems
Like a spirit but one of light.

I know
I am afraid too if simple words come undone
what will happen after today or tomorrow,
You have brought me everything,
things that I have not seen

But the thing that I fear the most
You may or my not understand this,
But the thing that I fear the most,
I have to admit it now

the thing that I fear the most,
Is that our lovelines will become hopessly tangled
Falling toward the hearts of two angels

Dreamland


A land without mysteries and lies,
Of warm spring days
And clear blue skies…


Where children could just roam around
Their parents knowing
They are safe and sound…


A place of happiness and joy
Where sailors come and yell “Ahoy!”



A place like that cannot be found,
Look everywhere, above and below ground
There’s no such place…

Unless you are asleep…


Meh, crappy poem but I just didn’t have any inspiration, I usually do better if I have some.

The days are tough in and out
Wake up, all you do is scream and shout.

I dont know what you want from me,
I try my hardest, but it just never will be.

I know its hard, I know its tough,
but some people have it worse.

Some people dont have homes homes to live in,
while others corpse lay in dirt.

Even though you fustrated, even though your hurt,
Better days lie ahead, so fight through the pain, cause it could be worse.

I see the day, where we find the light,
and days that end in better nights.

This is from Deltora Quest. It's stuck in my head.There are four evil things, an egg, a snake, one inside the body of a guy name Doran-who tried to stop the shadowlord's plan, and there's one buried under the palace where the young king & his friends live.

Sisters four with poisoned breath,
bring to the land a long, slow death

But death comes swiftly if you dare
to find each sisters hidden lair.

Their songs like secret rivers flow
to hold the peril deep below.

But if at last their voices cease
The land will find a final peace.

'final peace' is NOT happpiness and peace.

Sorrow’s Eyes

I dream of you, with hand in mine,
I see your face, as I sleep,
Through golden fields, on summers sky,
When I awake, my heart sits deep,
I used to know you like the back of my hand
Your chest would heave with pride if I were spoken of
Now you're shifting like the sand
'Till tonight I never knew the difference between comfort and love
I see your face, on river free,
I think of you, the times we spent,
It sails away, too summon me,
I miss the days, that heaven sent.
I long for you, here by my side,
Then dry the tears, from sorrows eyes.

What is Red?
Red is a cardinal
Starting to take flight.
Red is a flower
That smells alright.
Red is the anger
Of the buzzing bees.
Red is embarassment
Right after you sneeze.
Red is a ruby
As red as blood.
Red is a strawberry
Dropped in the mud.
Red is the nailpolish
You put on your toe.
Red is the sign
Before it changes to go.

Quckly the time passes by when having fun
Quickly the moon gives way to the sun
Quickly the rain falls from the skies
Quickly the cat runs after mice
Quickly the shadows disappear
Quickly the dog runs back over here
Quick is the cheetah, running after prey
But quickest of all is a very fun day!
