Started this a few years back but i rarely like the ones i make good enough to keep but since i posted one the other day i decided to post the rest that i've kept in that time.
know they aint that good but eh :3
1st one~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I am of fire,
Embers and ashes,
Wild and unpredictable,
My flames can appear both beautiful and mystical,
They bring both destruction and warmth,
But don't worry, just trust me and I'll light your way."
2nd one~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Snow, pristine and silent
Cold yet comforting,
Gently falling in the beautifully, cold calm night.
3rd one~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Light beautiful and bright falling through the night sky upon shining stars so bright,
Falling brilliantly and bright the stars shine giving hope in the endless night,
Pass the moon through the sky they fall little shards of light,
Falling through the night sky they dance the little shards of light.
Light beautiful and bright falling through the night sky upon shining stars so bright,
Falling silently through night for an instant giving hope to those looking upon your light,
So dance the little shards of light upon stars so bright,
Giving me hope in the dead of night,
Light beautiful and bright falling through the night sky upon shining stars so bright,
Falling into the night so quick and bright do the little shards of light giving hope to those lost in the endless night.
4th one~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do devils cry? Do they dance? Do they hate lies?
No devils never cry~
Do devils enjoy moonlit nights? Do they weep? Maybe even sigh?
No devils never cry~
Do devils love? Do devils fight? Do devils scorn the light?
No devils never cry~
Do devils ever feel lost? Do devils protect? Do devils remorse what they’ve lost?
No devils never cry, but maybe if a “devil” were to dance and love and remorse what’s been lost in those moonlit nights maybe indeed they would cry for this devil surly has found his heart this night.
5th one~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am of the water,
Calm and clear,
Comforting and supportive,
Softly flowing flowing under the pull of the moon,
Forever enamored by it's beauty.
6th one~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Changing leaves and howling winds,
It's finally autumn season again.
The changing of leaves and rolling trees,
One of my most beloved sights to see.
Then there's the freshness of the air,
That just can't be compared.
Then there's the chilliness in the wind,
Which to me is like a long lost friend.
I love autumn, from the start till it's end, too bad it's a season that can't never end
7th~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The emptiness inside,
No matter where I run I cannot hide,
From this feeling inside,
I try to fight,
But this feeling is always within sight,
That lack of interest in life,
Why do I have such trouble seeing things as bright,
What can I do to fight my emptiness inside?
8th~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And so the 11th hour has tolled and passed, everyone knew all this would surely come to pass. The end of an era , like a shattering of glass.
The 11th's story has been told, forever in our hearts will he remain a fixture in our past's.
Oh Raggedy man it is time to bit farewell to you at long last for the clock has tolled at 5 past 12.
9th~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How long's it been since I seen you last?
How long since you've became a fixture of our pasts?
You were one of those people that could make people smile and laugh.
The kind to go up to a person you knew should you see them walk past.
They say your son is growing fast.
His hair even turning red in almost a flash.
Though I've only seen photos myself through a phones looking glass.
You also had a few hobbies we wished you lacked.
But nothing to make us think less cause of such a fact.
Because who you were always remained intact.
I wonder if you can see us where your at?
Does my humor and poor luck still give you laughs?
Hopefully the grief of the others aren't making you sad.
Thinking back now, from my earliest memory of the past, up till that last talk we had......
Just how long has it been since we got that call and I helped bury you beneath the grass?
10th~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday came flashes of the past,
My fathers aunt and her clan visiting us, reestablishing connections almost buried in her past.
Making her rounds among extended family and friends, us being one of the visits near the end.
The elder members soon catching up like old friends.
I too eventually jumped in speaking to this old woman like a long lost friend when the flashes began.
Like grains of sand, remembering things that will never be again.
Those days when everyone gathered like friends.
Some playing the family band, us younger kids playing in the mud & sand, while the parents and grandparents (even if younger back then) talked and joked long after the sun set low on the land.
Then towards the end as this old woman grinned and waved goodbye with her wrinkled hand,
It was then I wondered why it all came to an end, those days when everyone gathered and regarded one another truly as kin.
The Haiku~~~~~~~~~
Beautiful, pristine,
Winter paints the scenery,
A pretty but cold world.
11th~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are days when it still sets in,
A loneliness with no end.
The feeling of futility has long since become my friend.
Again and again it'll set in,
That feeling of "what's my life been?"
"How will it end?"
"Will it even begin?"
Thus from within comes my old friend futility once again.
It all just feels so hollow in the end.
Being born, growing old, having a family if you want or can only for death to come calling for like some long lost friend?
Where's the joy? Where's the wonder?
Life often feels more like a boring and dull roller coaster.
12th~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
From beginning to its end,
I could feel them coming as if in season,
The flashes of the past and of what once had been.
As I made the rounds visiting my kin,
A Christmas Eve that felt so long like it'd never end,
The first visit truly being worth the visit bearing many grins.
The second and third visits came and went,
Both leaving me the feeling there could've been better time spent,
Each giving the strongest glimpses of what this had once been.
Remembering times,
Oh how little I was then,
A call back to the feeling I got when my fathers Aunt & family visited at summers end.
A feeling of wondering when it all came to an end. That best of times when welcome and acted as kin.
