It seems Square Enix is now on a role with patching Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. Just a few weeks after delivering patch 1.03 which fixed a crash saving error for Kingdom Hearts II, amongst other glitches and bugs, patch 1.04 is now available for download.

Version 1.04 (47.52 MB)

  • Fixed enemy/ally teleportation issue in KINGDOM HEARTS II
  • Adjusted magnetic force of commands such as Magnet in KINGDOM HEARTS II
  • Fixed various other issues

Great! I'm happy they are listening to complaints and at least trying their best to fix all of these problems (even though a lot of this could have probably been avoided if they had just done more extensive and thorough bug testing).

Major props to the developers for patching 1.5+2.5 more diligently than the PS3 versions; I guess it goes to show either that they're willing to perfect the port, or that the PS4 is easier to work with in comparison.

Really happy with the notable things they fixed, and I hate to sound greedy, but... maybe they could tackle the audio bugs next? Like the death sound for bosses looping in KH1, or voice clips and sound effects not playing properly in both numbered games, KHII being the biggest offender.
They could finally remedy the awkward silence in the final battle after Xemnas disappears for the first time (Sora, Donald and Goofy are supposed to be laughing as they celebrate before Sora goes to talk to Riku about coming home, but nothing happens).

That's really nice. Putting so much effort to polish means that they are planning to have a final ultimate version.
They should advertise it a little bit since the game got bad reviews because of those issues. When SE does something great, they should communicate about it.

What I would enjoy a lot would be to get some updates for 2.8, especially 0.2. There is still the infinite loading screen from time to time and the menus transitions seem slow. With the engine being developed for kh3, I am still hoping for 0.2 to get some of those stability upgrades.

The original 1.5 and 2.5 collections never received patches.

Anyway, those request of yours aren't petty requests at all, they're legitimate bugs. Square Enix are on a "Ask and ye shall receive!" role right now, so if more people highlight this, the higher the likeliness of it being fixed.

Problems found with the patch as of now:

- Marluxia's scythe wheel DM now goes much faster and can't be followed
- The first part of Session is fixed but Riku has this weird transparent effect on him
- Luxord's cards not fixed

Pretty solid patch, and it came out so soon too (I was expecting another 3 month wait). They just need to fix KH1's horrible audio issues and we'll be golden.

I've also been noticing lately that Re:CoM and R/R are having sound issues as well. The sounds I have found not playing are some, but not all: Card breaks, Friend Card Drops, Item Drops, Hits. These aren't too big a deal, but I do think the Friend Cards drops are, since they stay on the field for a short time before vanishing for another few moments.

Hopefully, Square will fix most - if not all - of the things that have been glitching/bugging. It is great that they are actually listening now though.
