So what does everyone think about the orchestrial passion? Although I like Passion more then Simple and CLean, I prefer the simple and clean orchestrial. They both definantly sound epic though!

Hey, the Orchestra is very very cool- but it's just barely like the real song. Oh well, it sounds like something Howard Shore would right! (H. S. did LotR)

I got a little theory with this song...
Utada said that this song was more like KH than the last one right? I heard that she was shown clips of the game to inspire her.

"Another Side-Another Story"
You play this song forward, you hear one side of the "story".
"My Heart's a Battle Ground"
You play the song backwards, you hear the other side of a story
"I need some emotion..."

They're totally different. Forward states that their heart is in danger- backwards states that the person wants to feel.
Sora and BHK? Perhaps "Passion" is their heart. One side tells the story of Sora- the other of BHK.
(Utada is sooo fricking cool to do this)
I can't wait for it to come out in English- it'll probably make my theory make more sense.

Yeah..I liked the Orchestral version as well..but is the Remix to Passion gonna be out in a bit? The one thats played in the new Intro and some commercials..cuz I have Passion Single, ATB, Orchestral..now I need the remix thing to complete my addiction...<.<

Okay, while Hikari was easy to orchestrate because of its simplicity, but since Passion is such a complex song to begin with, I'm guessing that the arranger had to interpret it a bit differently. Of course, like the Hikari arrangement, the feeling is entirely changed into a marching feel. Still, I am satisfied with the interpretation. Exchange of voices and all that.

It was beautiful all around, but some of the instruments could've shown... the passion, so to speak, that Utada did. The oboe comes to mind.

No, I disagree. If a simple vocal song could be considered "epic", then an orchestral piece could be made ten times more so.

Hitoshirezu 人知れず means "without anyone knowing"

Hmm..."Hitoshirezu(without anyone knowing)...My heart's a battleground...."

cause in the opening video she says it right after you go into Namine's drawing pad

it might have something to do with Namine.

btw i put the spoilers box in just in case some of you's haven't seen the opening video yet or doesn't want to until it comes out in the us.

It's just the ATB lyrics, but after the "Jidai no utsuroi wo mite itai na" part she goes, "Hitoshirezu...My heart's a battleground....noitome eurt deen I...."

I really want to see the music video of Passion so I downloaded it from KHU and it turned out to be really botched up. I don't know if it was the file or if it is just my computer, but, I couldn't see the music video at all. The screen was all blurry, and rainbow colored, lol.

So, does anybody know an alternate source where I could download it from?

No need to download! You can go to youtube and search up "Utada Hikaru-Passion" and you should get some vids. Or you can order the Passion CD+DVD so you'll get both the single version and ATB version, plus the music video in DVD quality.
