The best case scenario is that party members in KHIV are treated like their counterparts in FFVIIR. Fully fleshed out (and customizable to boot) with their own unique skill sets, strengths, weaknesses etc. Being fully playable during battle wouldn't hurt either.

I would love being able to switch to the other party members. Having Donald and Goofy fully customizable and even on par with Sora would be great. The only issue is the DISNEY worlds and/or guest party members like Kairi or Riku.

I think they should let you swap to different party members once you beat the game, so it's a feature of New Game+. Also, they should let you bring any party members you want to any world - so you can essentially play through the whole game as any character.
