Name: Sarah Bell A. Pepper
Ethnicity: Human, 50% African, 25% Caucasian, 25% Asian
Physical Appearance: Pepper stands at a height of five feet nine inches. Her hair is a dark emerald green, and is styled as such that it swoops around her face down to her shoulders, making her head resemble a ... green bell pepper. She has an attractive face, that can be called cute. However her left canine (tooth) is overly long and sharp which slightly sticks out of her lip, making her look a bit mischievous or threatening. Her body is sleek and curvy, although she has a rather small chest size. As for her clothing she really doesn't wear much, just a red strap outfit along with power armor that covers her arms and legs.
Personality: Surprisingly upbeat considering all that's happened to her, Pepper is very charismatic and likes to live by her own rules. She's is typically passive and almost rude to people she doesn't know very well, otherwise she is carefree and full of energy.
Weapon: Well, being a cyborg her whole body can be considered a weapon almost. She possess superhuman strength, reflexes, and speed. Inside her body is an array of hidden weapons, such as laser cannon, force field projector, and more. Her right arm contains offensive weapons, while her left arm has defensive capabilities. In her torso is a device that is able to create optic illusions.
Fighting Style: She really doesn't like to fight, however when she must it all comes down to her opponent. If the person is weaker or on par with her then she will most likely just try to overpower them. If not then she will rely on her defensive ability's to give her the upper hand.
Skills/Talents: She is a genius when it comes to technology, able to take a pile of scrap and make something outstanding.
Strengths/Abilities: Pretty much outlined above...
Weaknesses/Limitations: She gets her energy from solar powered cells, so fighting during the night can result in her overusing her power and becoming defenseless.
Standing at a cutesy 5’8’’ Ui has long brown hair with a rainbow of colors streaking through her hair. Streaks of purple, red, blue, and green color her hair, the green is a lot more prominent than the red, blue and purple indicating that this is a new addition. Ui has a face of innocence, her caramel toned skin, that cute smile, and those deep hazel eyes. Her hair falls to the middle of her back, about a few inches above and opposite of her naval, but a slight fringe exists partially covering her forehead. Her delicate features suggest a pampered life, although her scars on her hands and arms suggested a harden life as well. Contradiction after contradiction. Her facial features are rounded out and resemble a sweet girl.
She maintains a formal aura of confidence. Whether she is dancing, cleaning her katana, or just eating on some jelly-donut her ramrod back never falters. Her clothing is casual and quickly put together suggesting a messy type of girl. She wears a wrinkled white blouse with golden buttons adorning the clothing; the buttons aren’t fixed in the proper places leaving an unmatched shirt revealing her undergarment underneath. The sleeves appear too large for her as her hands fits cozily within her sleeves. Her white cargo pants are adorned with pockets and keychains! She has several keychains on her pants, one of her favorites happens to be one that resembles a cat’s head with a bow on its ear. The others are a bit more unorthodox including a keychain of a stalk of broccoli, one was a dragon’s head, one was the pentagon’s thief, and another was the Japanese character for “Nothingness”.
Cutesy and almost ditzy. She has a habit of tripping over her own two feet and staring off into space. She likes to smile and talk about cute things like puppies and kitties and that new zombie flick. Yet while Ui seems like a socially competent person she never seems to stick with the friends she makes, she even goes out of her way to remember their names. Ui seems fiercely loyal to her commanding officers and appears to have no problem with a few causalities, double-crossings and back-stabbing, this is what the world has been reduced to, she finds it her playground!
Ui appears to be a bit psychotic if one were to go as far when describing her. She has a tendency of engaging in odd activities such as randomly eating after an assignment, or even playing chess with herself on occasions. Ui also seems to have a near endless appetite, despite her thin stature she eats quite a bit of food, according to Ui because of her hyperactive body and the aftermath of her strenuous training that she requires 3x more energy than a normal person – so she claims. Ui seems to take her job seriously and even enjoys assassinating targets and even finds pleasure in murdering people, she appears indifferent to witnessing death or even suffering pain.
Tokumeki is a sword that is as much as an enigma as the owner. Ui rarely speaks of how she acquired the sword and whenever she does it is ordinarily far-fetched: sometimes she mentions that she got the sword from a wandering elder that gave it to her after she had killed off the local militia, other times she claims that her father had forged the sword and that it is quite different from regular swords in that magic was infused within its steel. It is difficult to pinpoint truth from those stories but the sword itself is most definitely different from ordinary ones. For one the blade of Tokumeki is straight in contrast to the wavy patterns most katanas take also this sword was used for slicing rather than hacking as most straight swords may do.
The blade itself is a nightmarish black with a purple hilt, the sheath is black and red with circular designs running through it. Ui claims that this sword has magical properties since it was “infused with magic when being forged,” – as she said – but so far there is no physical distinction between her sword and another. Whenever Ui uses the sword it is often heard not seen. In a true assassin fashion Ui is an expert with her sword but rarely ever completely unsheathes it, utilizing her natural ability and speed with the sword her subsonic lai she can quickly draw, attack, and sheath her blade without being seen. This is not, however, an example of superhuman speed, her lai follows Ui’s personal philosophy of speed and is more about being unseen rather than being faster.
Ui has rarely fought against an opponent that was able to not only see her lai but deflect the attack, to grace their ability Ui willingly draws her sword and faces them head on.
Along with Tokumeki Ui carries several other weapons that range from shuriken to kunai to even hidden blades; however she only carries those additional weapons if she is bound to face a large amount of targets, she doesn’t carry them on a day-to-day basis. Unlike those weapons, however, Ui does carry Tokumeki everywhere she goes but often wraps it in a covering so she doesn’t cause a panic.
Ui is able to freely manipulate the very structure of her own body so that her physical properties changes to accustom her needs. This is a rather one-sided technique since she is only able to use this ability to accomplish one task. With Tekkai she is essentially able to physically harden her body to mimic the properties of diamonds. Essentially with Tekkai she would be able to deflect any physical attack with relative ease. To this day she hasn’t been attacked with something that could penetrate past her Tekkai. However when Tekkai is in use she is unable to move considering her mass would increase to twice its original weight, she can somewhat bypass this with Soru but her control decreases since more power is needed to compensate for her additional weight.
Ui is able to generate a profuse amount of energy and by centering it around her legs she is able to, essentially, “kick” off the energy so it would produce an energy projectile akin to an “air-blade” capable of slicing through brick buildings easily. Since the “air-blade” is simply the result of a shockwave produced by the energy in her legs vibrating from the kicking motion creates the air-blade. It isn’t an energy blast more like repulsing the air to create a shockwave of sorts; the only real way to deflect it would perhaps be dispelling the air pressure.
Ui takes pride in her ability of Rankyaku – according to her this is her favorite ability – and is known for being quite fast while using it.
This works off the principles of Rankyaku but there are gaping differences between the two. She gathers physical energy to the soles of her feet and from there she uses that energy to cause her feet to vibrate, in the fashion Rankyaku operates, and it uses that vibration to very much literally push off the ground and cause a propelling motion. This motion in turn creates the similar air pressure that Rankyaku provides but instead of producing a projectile it propels Ui forward. The propulsion itself isn’t fast but what makes Ui near untraceable is how she utilizes the propulsion. Her philosophy about speed isn’t being faster than your opponent it is simply being unseen by your opponent.
“You can be as fast as you want but as long as your opponent can still track you all of that speed won’t matter in the long run; you can be the slowest person in the world but still be as untraceable as an assassin if you work at it.”
Rather than fly around being the fastest thing to trek the ground she uses Soru to be difficult to track. As she says someone can be extremely fast when sprinting, but that doesn’t make him invisible, the human eye is still able to keep up with him since the motion created by his movements is still traceable. With soru she moves past being fast with linear movement to instead being faster with nonlinear movements.
A fly isn’t exactly fast but it is difficult to keep an eye on since it darts around here and there. Why is that? Simple! It changes direction being highly difficult to track. With soru she is able to utilize nonlinear movements and move about in a speedy matter without being detection and without the exertion of excess energy. You see in the process of using soru she stabilizes the energy centered on the soles of her feet and in mid-propulsion she diverts the energy so it surrounds her entire body. With that energy she is able to move more fluidly and easily so in the process of kicking off the ground she moves and twists her body so it would undetectable. It isn’t about being faster than the opponent; it is simply being untouchable by them.
Utilizing her hands she is able to center physical energy on the palms of her hands and effectively use that to create a new technique. Essentially if one were to think about it the techniques of Rokushiki utilizes the physical energy a human body were to hold, if one were to train their bodies enough they could achieve superhuman qualities however it isn’t the technique that makes up the person it is the mastery of that technique. Rokushiki is the collaborative creation of multiple techniques derived from one: Nikyu.
With Nikyu she is able to “repel” the air in front of her palms to produce a shockwave in the form of a semitransparent sphere. This shockwave travels at the speed of the gust of wind and in all honesty isn’t difficult to avoid or even deflect however one should tread lightly if faced with Nikyu. The mere notion of air being a dangerous force against such elements like lightning or fire is almost laughable absurd. This shockwave can very much literally pierce virtually anything. Since the shockwave holds no real tangible body to travel think of it as a compressed tornado, such a large force encased in such a small form that is the shockwave is almost terrifying to think about. Whenever the shockwave passes through a tangible body it doesn’t leave any physical evidence of trauma, except an impression that resembles a sphere, but causes physical damage. Funny, isn’t it?
In essence with Nikyu, Ui repels the air in front of her to create a shockwave that can travel at extremely high speeds that can travel through practically anything and tear it up from the inside; Nikyu leaves an impression – even within rocks – of a sphere which can even be left on human bodies.
Nanba Hashiri -
Not necessarily a special supernatural technique and definitely not a part of Rokushiki either. It is a method of running utilized by the samurais of the days of yore. Nanba Hashiri isn't as difficult as one may make it out to be - considering with Ui's personal training and enhanced physical attributes she pushes Nanba Hashiri to the limits. It is rather simple actually, one walks using their arms and legs at the same time without losing the undulation that comes from the body she effectively uses less energy and moves quicker than if she were to run normally. Utilizing her personal physical augmentation, however, she can move at superhuman speeds at top speed, combination with Rokushiki's Soru she can become nearly invisible.
None that could submitted that wasn’t censored by the folks down at Section III.
Sitting in a rundown bar Pepper brooded over a mug of sake. She had ordered the drink, but by the time she got back to her seat she suddenly didn't feel so thirsty. This was mostly due to how nervous she was, due to a big mistake she made someone had put a mark on her, and she knew that at any point she could be attacked.
"Man, you blow up a few buildings and suddenly you're the bad guy..."
"Hehe." A slight giggle came from the corner of the bar, the bar-goers hadn't regarded the source of the giggle. She was hidden in the shadows, the blind spot of the camera in fact, but she was outlandish in appearance. She wore a bright pink kimono was barely treading her knees, her legs were propped up on the table and a feline grin played on her face. A strange katana was tied over her shoulders and for one reason or the other she was barefoot.
"You know if you wish to stay incognito you should change your outfit a tad, those fancy little cybernetic enhancements certainly are.. outlandish." She said loudly for all to hear, the bar-goers turned around and stared at Ui curiously. Before anything could happen the entire section she was in exploded, the men scattered and sprinted out of the bar. Ui stood alone with her table sliced right in half. In a very calm manner Ui approached Pepper, and stood to her immediate right.
"Now then, if you want I can take you back in pieces or half-dead, which do you prefer?" Ui was no stranger to combat, she didn't know just how fast or how strong this Pepper was. Reports and data can't tell exactly how strong someone is, the only one that can tell is Ui herself from experience. Ui's legs tensed, poised and ready to strike or to jump if need be.
Hearing a childish giggle a chill went down Pepper's spine. Slowly turning her head she saw a girl with colorful hair and donning a pink kimono. Oh great, don't tell me this is who's after me... Pepper thought grimly. The girl made a comment about Pepper's attire, which made her wish she had bought some normal clothing, shiny glowing metal did kind of stick out here. The other bartenders took notice of the girl, but were quickly dispersed when the bar just blew up out of nowhere. Wow, so she can blow stuff up but I can't?... She pondered. The girl then asked a question, basically saying if she wanted this to go the easy way or the hard way. Pepper calmly stood up from her chair, making eye contact with her would be assassin.
"Well, regardless of how I look none of these parts can come off. So I guess this is about to get messy." Without warning Pepper held out her fingertips at Ui, they glowed with a yellow light quickly before firing off a barrage of thin beams. These beams had enough power to rip right through a few bar tables, and were being shot with reckless abandon since there were no bystanders.
The world underneath Ui exploded as a hail of archetypes of beams screamed overhead. They easily tore through the flimsy structure of the table tops and the bar entirely but they hadn't exploded, they were probably only meant to tear Ui at a molecular level rather than scatter her into millions of tiny pieces. That's better isn't it? Ui, however, wasn't accounted for amongst the chaos ensued by such a reckless attack. While Ui had explicit orders to keep things low key all of that was irrelevant considering the time, location and circumstances. First of all while Ui and Pepper were relatively far from Ui's headquarters and hometown any notice of their existence is eyes-only classified but the circumstances surrounding that are as flimsy as say the structural integrity of the bar.
From Pepper's barrage the bar ceiling had collapsed around Pepper, reckless indeed. The circumstances that kept Ui focused and intent were diaphanous at best. Eyes-only classified only qualified when personal integrity or identification is at risk. At this point Ui looked like a regular bounty hunter, there were zero leads that traced Ui back to Section III thus she isn't under any risk. Secondly the physical well-being and domestic tranquility is to not be disturbed during such an assignment. This was thrown out of the window almost immediately because of the first circumstance. This bar, albeit quaint and humble, is the penultimate of moral injustice, or lack thereof, and thus is safely deemed nonexistence by the good folks at Section III. Thus domestic tranquility pertaining to the bar or any persons associated with the bar is undisturbed as they technically don't exist.
Conclusion: It's about to get messy in here.
Ui was gone as was the denizens that previously lurked this eatery/cesspool of vile defecation as the resultant of an awkward cordial relationship between shit poor owners and condemnable attendants. The ceiling had collapsed inward and as a result the night sky peered in awkwardly through the hastily created skylight.
"Damn, that was close!" Ui suddenly cried out from the dark but before Pepper could ascertain her location she phased into reality in a blur of pink fury right above her, "Psych!" A whirlwind exploded around Ui as she briefly levitated above Pepper. There was no weapon visible in her hands which were hanging above her but were obscured by a chaotic blur. Utilizing her subsonic lai technique Ui is essentially able to draw her sword, attack, and sheath her sword in quite literally the blink of an eye. It focuses on multiple factors that include, but are not limited to, natural speed, flexibility and ki flow. At half speed Ui can attack faster than the eye can perceive, at full speed Ui's speed is untraceable.
Utilizing a good amount of speed Ui executed her subsonic lai beautifully. Her katana was being drawn and swung at bizarrely fast speeds in which it is but a black arc of destruction. Right now Ui spread her subsonic lai over her entire body so that an aura of swords is essentially emitted. The air around her was being cut and as Ui neared Pepper in free-fall the ground underneath her began to break in two as cuts and and slices were embedded deeply within the wood. Although damned difficult to perceive Ui raised her sword to attack Pepper from multiple directions but her sword mostly came to one point 9 out of 10 times: Pepper's eyes.
"Geez, I hope this guy had insurance..." Pepper muttered nervously, as she noticed the carnage her lasers had created. Looking around the wrecked bar she saw no sign of her would be assassin. There was no way she was dead, her attack was strong, but not THAT strong.
"Damn, that was close!" The girl's voice shouted, Pepper turned around to the noise and fired a laser from the tip of her finger in the direction.
"Eh?" the girl wasn't there, if she wasn't there then where was she?
"Psych!" Above!? Expecting an attack Pepper raised her arms to protect her face, which was assaulted by a barrage of sword swings. The armor on her arms could hold up to this sort of attack, however her torso sustained a few cuts and gashes. There seemed to be no stop to the attack, she had to find some way to distract her. "Lay... OFF!" A blinding light flashed from her left arm, Pepper then leaped back and immediately held up her right arm at the girl. four small panels opened on the sides of the arms. the sound of gunpowder went off, and four small metal poles launched at the girl's feet. they vibrated for a moment, and then exploded with the force of a pound of TNT. The force caused the rest of the bar's roof to cave in. Deciding to take advantage of this Pepper grabbed a long steel pole that she only guessed was used by 'entertainers' of the place. "How about this!?" She leaped up over her target, then bringing the pole down towards her head.
Ah, looks like those arms are useful. Although it wasn't an easy task deflecting Ui's quick strikes and slashes it wasn't as if it was impossible. Ui had to praise Pepper's sturdy body. But then again it wasn't as if it would be hard to cut through that sturdy body. So long as it can be cut it shall be cut. The light had blinded Ui temporarily, she forced herself to look away but she looked at the source a millisecond too late. Mentally cursing herself for falling for something so easily Ui raised her sword in a defensive pose in preparation for the next attack.
To her surprise it wasn't a direct attack. Ui looked down to see four poles sprouting from the ground staring up at her. She missed? The poles began to vibrate. Ah, explosive. Very calmly Ui sheathed her sword and using speed that precedes her calm nature she struck again. Swinging at the air a huge "bubble" appeared around her essentially pushing the explosive force back so it wouldn't harm her. She sliced and diced at the air so fast and so forceful that the pressure had built up to suppress the explosion.
She had forgotten about the ceiling as the roof began to cave in. "How about this?!" Ah, she was also pretty loud. Ui decided her next plan of action, she could either disarm Pepper and continue the fight from there or she could just use the roof to her advantage... How about all of the above?
Ui leaped in the air and activated soru moving inaccurately and randomly towards Pepper. The smoke would veil Ui's movements if soru wasn't enough. She neared Pepper in a huge arc she swung her sword and zipped right past Pepper. She heard the satisfying sound of metal against wood as Pepper's weapon was rendered harmless. Ah, crap, did Ui hit too hard? Moving at those speeds it was always difficult to ascertain just how hard Ui should swing, in mid-air while soru was active Ui lost all sense of direction and sentience over her strength. She felt she sliced too hard through the pole and probably had sliced against Pepper's torso as well.
Ah, well, may as well continue.
Ui turned around in mid-air to see Pepper descending. Ui rushed in with soru noting the roof's descent downward, she was only 3 seconds away from being crushed. She slashed and sliced furiously at the joints of Pepper's arms. No matter what kind of armor one wears the weak points are always at the joints. After about two-hundred slices Ui felt it was enough and zipped away from existence tunneling past the debris caused by the explosion by slicing at whatever proved as an obstacle. Ui burst from the roof's debris just as it crashed to the ground and landed on whatever remained of the building providing a high vantage point.
It would be troublesome if Ui had to scavenge for Pepper's body.
Looks like I've underestimated her... too bad. Pepper's hands let go of the steel pole in her hands as Ui simply cut right through it. She should have known this girl would be able to slice through her makeshift weapon with such ease, but she had gotten a bit big headed since she was able to withstand her other attack. And now she had a nice gash across her torso to show for her ignorance. To make it only worse, she was hit again before she could even hit the ground. This time her joints were hit over and over, the ping of her blade on her armor made her cringe. The attack ended, if only because the roof then collapsed. Pepper was only able to lay on her back and watch as the debris fell towards her, a pink kimono in the background...
Wait... I can't die here. If I do my father's sacrifice will have been in vain! She had to beat this girl, there was too much at stake! Her body may consist of mostly robotic parts, but her heart was still one-hundred percent human! The debris covering her was sent flying away as Pepper got to her feet. 'White blood' was seeping from the wound on her torso, and her elbows were banged up. Pretty bad damage, but it wasn't THAT bad. Clenching her fists Pepper looked up towards Ui. The girl was fast, and was capable of erratic movements. Tapping her right temple her eye's glowed a aqua blue as she accessed the last few minutes of this fight. First was that first barrage of sword swings, she played it back in her mind, slowing it down enough to see what really happened. So she's able to use such a technique? Very impressive. Taking a deep breath she figured out a plan. Crouching down the braces on her legs let out steam as she geared them up. "Here I come!" In a split second she released the tension and was sent flying up into the air. She zoomed right past Ui, continuing to rise into the air another fifty feet.
Now in the air she detached a metal piston from her right arm. Twisting it's center it extended to become a twelve foot long pole. At this point she had reached the apex of her height, and began to fall. Okay, let's see how well you handle this! She launched the pole downwards, it passed right by Ui and struck the ruins of the bar. As it did so sparks began to radiate from it. Hoping Ui had been distracted by the pole Pepper was right above her at this point. Flipping in the air she sent a downward axe kick straight to the back of her head. Regardless of whether it hit or not, Pepper bounded off down into the wrecked bar. "I hope you're not afraid of lightning." She remarked, as she moved her left hand to the metal pole now stuck in the ground. Electricity surged from it, entering Pepper's body, she then pointed her right hand towards Ui. With a flick of her wrist an arc of electricity was sent at the assassin.
Pepper's kick was rendered useless as Ui armored her entire molecular structure to in essence deflect the kick. No matter how strong her feet may have been it couldn't possibly withstand hitting something as hard as Ui's head. Wait, I didn't mean like that. Her foot was probably breaking apart by now, Pepper jumped back down to get that pole she had thrown down. With such elaborate movements Pepper could have been part of the circus or something but her movements are extremely exaggerated and unnecessary. For example; the moments in which Pepper jumped past Ui and went back down that was completely unnecessary and since Ui is a generous person she decided to teach Pepper the fundamentals of speed: Never waste your movements.
To do that Ui sliced at Pepper both times she had bounded recklessly past her. Across the chest and over her knees, the first wound she had inflicted on Pepper's torso would deepen and worsen over time and her knees were aimed to immobilize her. But in the moment where Ui was forced to use Tekkai she was rendered immobile, ironically enough, and was barely able to scrape her kneecaps. Didn't matter really. Any cut from a sword would hurt no matter how insignificant.
Electricity arced and exploded to life as Pepper utilized her makeshift weapon. Ui was fast and all but she wasn't fast enough to outrun electricity. Her legs tensed prepared to jump out of the way. "Keeping things long-range hm? A move like this would probably keep me away from you and prevent me from jumping right into your chest." Interesting proposal.
The blast of electricity screamed towards Ui but she wasn't there.
Phantom Willow's Walk. Utilizing an ancient style of running and soru Ui exploded towards Pepper moving at immeasurable speeds. It is incredibly dangerous to use the two together since the damage done to her body would prove sufficient. Ui's legs felt like they were burning, the damage from the roof's collapse have sliced into her tendons and she hadn't deflected the first explosion as easily as she thought, her arms were cut up and her kimono burst open revealing a bare bust veiled by a thin chainmail vest. I commend you armored woman, but you rely too heavily on those cybernetics of yours.
In half a second Ui was at Pepper's chest with her sword impaling Pepper's torso and a metallic pole in Ui's free hand stabbed into the ground effectively grounding any free orbiting electrons.
The electricity surged towards Ui, yet never found it's mark. Even with her katana pretty much acting as a lightning rod she somehow was fast enough to dodge it. How!? Is she even human? Pepper was astounded, how was she to hit someone that could dodge even her fastest method of attack? Her eye's couldn't even keep track of her, she tried to gather enough electricity for another surge but by that time Ui's blade was already finding it's way through her body. She coughed up a good half pint of 'white blood' as she gazed at the wound. "I was... Careless..." She muttered, falling to her knees. What other options did she have left? Countless.... How many would actually work? Well, there was one, but it would be painful... the armor all over her body suddenly fell off, sparking as it did so.
The armor was a burden anyway, and would just get in the way of what she was about to do. It was a simple thing she did, she simply released the limits on her power. Electricity began to spark violently across her body, striking out at any and all conductors it could find. Reaching her right arm to the back of her neck she literally reached into it and pulled out what one could swear was her spine. Well, it pretty much was her spine, however it wasn't made of bone, it was made of a rare metal known as adamantium, a near indestructible metal that covered all of her skeletal structure. Thankfully she didn't need it to keep her body from going limp, thanks to other measures her body had. Much of the electricity was drawn towards it, effectively making it a 'lightning blade.'
"Sorry, but I only know how to be careless..." She stood to her feet, pointing the blade at Ui. A device embedded inside her activated, causing an illusion to cloud Ui's mind. Because of the electrical interference she would be unable to tell what effect it had on her, but it was better than nothing. "time to finish this, my science versus your... whatever the hell it is you are." Pepper gripped the metal spine/blade firmly in both hands, and charged Ui head on. She was outputting more than one-million volts, so her foe should be having difficulty even holding onto her katana without getting shocked. Reaching Ui Pepper slashed at her with a quick horizontal swipe. Everything was ridding on this, she didn't want to push her body any further.
Ui yanked her sword free by the time Pepper had felt the extent of her blow. She stared at Pepper’s bizarre act and was rather startled by the time she had pulled out her spine and used it effectively like a blade of some sort. Electricity burned and popped throughout the makeshift weapon but was impressive as it may have been Ui was far from impressed. It isn’t about how much she could produce but how much she could release in a single blow. It was always extremely dangerous to be messing around with electricity as it was a rather unstable thing to use but in this case it wouldn’t help anyone.
The air wavered and shimmered around the blade heating everything up, still no matter how weak the amperage may have been taking a direct hit from that would probably kill Ui. Her legs have been exhausted from running so much and besides she didn’t have any time to run. She would probably be forced to take this blow head-on, it would be disrespectful if Ui ran so why not?! Ui’s mind swam and she felt rather nauseous and dizzy, she was barely able to react as she raised her sword to guard against the first blow. With her free hand Ui had thrown a chain and hook over to the right and it made contact with a piece of rubble, she tied the chain to her sword but it wasn’t enough. Almost immediately electricity ran through Ui’s body from her sword, blood roared in her ears and her vision was tinged red. She was losing consciousness. She wanted to open her mouth to speak but everything began to hurt. She wanted to explain exactly why Pepper’s first blow had failed.
Ui’s leg was cleverly wrapped around the pole she had embedded within the ground and her other leg was suspended in the air giving the electricity no other place to run other than the pole. As the katana clashed with Pepper’s electricity-ridden weapon the discharge was incredible but the initial charge was lost within the atmosphere. Unless resistors were put into place it would be physically improbable to be able to contain so much raw electricity within one medium. The reason electrical discharge exists is because of differing charges between two objects. The electricity would go over to make the other opposite charge the same as their own to even things out, it is all about a part of nature and even though there was little electrical discharge created from Pepper’s attack it would be impossible to say all of the electricity went. However, Pepper’s recklessness with those explosion had super-heated the free molecules around the ruins of the bar effectively stimulating the electrons as a result changing the charges. Counting how many different charges around the bar would be impossible but ever since Pepper had pulled out her blade the electricity had been disappearing from it instantaneously, but still as mentioned earlier voltage wasn’t the important part here; amperage was. With the now decreased voltage of the blade and the uncalculated amperage the blade may hold it was just a simple weapon at this point. But still despite all of that, that wasn’t the reason Ui isn’t fried to a crisp now. The pole that she had placed in the ground had grounded the electricity emitted from Pepper’s weapon that was brought over via Ui’s katana. It was super dangerous and Ui felt the effects of her own recklessness. Burns and cuts had burst upon Ui’s body, she could smell something burning and she figured it wasn’t chicken.
She was able to displace as much as electricity as she could but she was still in big trouble if she doesn’t react fast enough. Ui struggled against Pepper’s blade feeling her legs turn to jelly under the weight, drifting her free leg back she kicked forward with a tremendous roar kicked upward producing a powerful Rankyaku aimed at Pepper’s right arm. Without losing her pace she kicked again firing out another Rankyaku to Pepper’s left arm; effectively slicing her limbs off. At this range blocking was inconceivable and in this stalemate running would be impossible. Pepper was rather dangerous and in order to get rid of her she would need to cripple the girl. Ui chided herself for not doing this earlier. The lightning blade was dropped and Ui lunged at Pepper driving her sword right through her chest again and mounting the poor girl. Planting her knee in Pepper’s gut she stared down into Pepper’s eyes.
It was over, Pepper's last resort had failed, rendered a complete joke even. Her body was pretty much a scrap heap at this point, her arms were gone, and she had two major wounds in her chest. However, she wasn't dead. Pepper stared back at Ui, gazing into her hazel eyes. "Sorry, but you missed my heart... Now if you had hit a few inches to your left..." She said in a soft voice, void of any of her past energy. Taking a deep breath she noted how her lunges were still intact. "You know, I think it would only be fair if you told me your name. That's what samurai do right?... Or is it knights that do that, ugh my head head hurts... Anyway, I'm Sarah Bell A. Pepper, although I bet you already knew that..." She broke eye contact, then looking over at her severed arms. It was a good thing she couldn't feel pain, otherwise she would be doing a lot of screaming right now. "Looks like I'm going with you in pieces after all huh?"
Ui sheathed her sword and very casually pulled out a bagel from her kimono, absentmindedly adjusting her chainmail vest she looked around and assessed the damage. This battle inflicted more damage than her usual targets, usually her targets would go peacefully or would go down after one strike; Pepper was resilient Ui granted her this. Ui was completely aware that her kimono was torn in more places that one revealing both her chainmail vest and her loincloth undergarment - she found panties restricting.
"Kurokami." Ui spoke listlessly, her voice felt hollow, "Kurokami Ui." The euphoric feeling from battle induced by natural hormones was wearing off, her skin stopped tingling and she felt a little relaxed despite the pain that followed. She looked at her arms that were stained crimson from the cuts and burns, they probably wouldn't leave scars if she got them treated now. She took a huge bite from her bagel then sat down on an assorted piece of debris.
She looked up at the brilliant night sky as the stars were blazing overhead. It really was quite beautiful. Ui pulled out a device akin to a cell phone and placed the receiver to her ear, "All done sir awaiting pick-up... Eh? Immediately?" Ui scowled as she took another bite, "Yessir." She could never catch a break it seems. She stared at the broken figure of Pepper and with a reluctant sigh she leaned back, crossed her legs in an ungraceful manner and said.
