I'm posting this because it might be helpful to someone. I decided to try buying one item at a time (cheap ones) to get tickets. I waited until I had 10, then saved. I would put all 10 in the box, and if I didn't get the orichalcum+, I'd go to the save, go to the title screen, and load my save again. It took about 3 tries to get the orichalcum+. I wasted way too much money before I decided to do it this way.
