Silence had the town of Gongaga in its hand. Not a single person dared to leave their home, the streets empty of life. Even the animals were quiet, as if they too were frightened. What was there to fear, exactly? What would happen if the silence was broken? As all is quiet on the surface, the same cannot be said underneath. Noise slowly crept onto the scene, the source not very far at all. All the hustle happened a bit down from the town, at a nearby crossing. At this fork, one path led back to town; the other to the slowly being rebuilt Mako Reactor.

The company in charge of the rebuilding was none other then the company named Shinra, who were responsible for the original creation of the reactor. The world was currently facing an enemy greater then it could handle, and so that was the source of the people's fear. Shinra's job was to help the people and make sure they had homes, supplies, power, and whatever else they needed. Some say this was to atone, others say it's only for the publicity and money. Whatever the reason, troops were being called in, with the cream of the crop soon on their way by a recently-built train. An abundance of monsters prevented the process from going smoothly, and also threatened the townspeople.

And so the people waited with baited breath, a few trained swordsman by the tracks waiting for help to arrive. Waiting for the Shinra soldiers was not all they were doing; they were also keeping a lookout for the other two groups. Rumor has it that not everyone was in agreement with the building of the reactor. Those of the terrorist group called AVALANCHE said that all the reactors did was slowly kill the planet. Surely they would appear, hoping to stop the soldiers and scientists. The other group in opposition did not have such a noble cause. Reunion, a group directly under the control of Sephiroth himself, could come at any moment. In all honesty, Reunion could appear anywhere and destroy whatever town they pleased, so it was only natural to keep an eye out for them.

To everyone's relief, the sound of a train approached...

Vexil tapped his fingers against his leg, matching the rhythm of the train's clank and clunk as it sped towards it's destination. The carriage he found himself in was less than extravagant. It was well built, but from the visible metal plates, to the exposed pipes, it was clear this train was made in haste. Vexil grew weary of staring at the drab interior the moment he stepped on board, he had never been so pleased to be able to gaze out of a window. The landscape rushed by, blurring into shades of greens and browns, they had entered the forested area that bordered Gongaga. "This forest sure is thick, does it remind you of your home country?" Vexil heard a SOLDIER speak up to him. He turned his head to face the Shinra soldier. It was true that Wutai was surrounded by a dense forest, but this place hardly brought any nostalgic feelings. This man talking to him was obviously trying to get on his good side, Vexil was the only one on this train from Wutai, and he had seniority over many on board.

"Not quite, this place has a charm of it's own however." Vexil grinned, giving a truthful answer without spoiling whatever mood this soldier was trying to create. He continued talking with the man, only paying enough attention to respond with basic answers. His eyes had wandered back to the window, and he saw that the station was rapidly approaching. The train put on it's brakes, skidding to a slow stop with a piercing screech. Vexil stood from his seat, walking past others as they gathered their things from compartments. He had already sent his things ahead of time, as a room was ready for him at the local inn. Stepping from out of the train he took a look around at the town. A small crowd was gathered around the train, faces full of relief and hope. Vexil was inclined to grimace at the sight, it was as if they had forgotten what Shinra had done in the past. He kept his poker face intact, as he moved past the swordsman standing guard and waded through the crowd.

They could cling to Shinra as much as they wanted, the desperate and weak always needed an idol. Vexil was different, he wasn't so naive that he would believe that Shinra had everything under control, that's why he was here in the first place. Things wouldn't remain calm for much longer, of that he was sure.

Screeeeeeeeeeeech!!

The scream of the locomotive's brakes on the withered tracks echoed throughout its carts as well as signaling a welcome to the residents of Gongaga. It seemed as if those who were waiting were just as glad as the soldiers who simply wanted off of the train. Cart by cart, Shinra soldiers poured out meandering in all directions. Some knew exactly where to go while others lingered around the area awaiting directions. If anything this kind of military agenda seemed a bit unorganized but luckily the situation did not create any large complications. The humid air mixed with the beaming rays of the sun created an environment that soldiers in their generic attire could possibly pass out from a heat stroke. Fortunately, shade was sprinkled about by the overshadowing greenery of Gongaga.

"How did I manage to be placed way in the back of that thing?" a soft voice muttered.

One of the last to be placed on the carts, Roma swiftly placed two feet on the stone platform. While many of the soldiers carried relative large bags and packages, Roma simply exited the train with just her clothing. She did not need materialistic memories, weapons, or even a canteen of water. Everything she needed was inside of her body. Her only downfall: her height. Being average for a female, Roma still paled in comparison to the heights of Shinra soldiers. With enough effort, she would jump high enough just to get a glimpse of the area that everyone was moving in. However this was not Roma's first trip to Gongaga. Previous visitations fell in line with her missions and as a result she was fairly familiar with the surroundings. In this instance, moments moved a lot slower than she would've hoped. In all honesty if she had the ability to yawn she would. Although in the midst of the crowd, Roma would pick up on a few broken pieces of conversation.

'AVALANCHE?...I hear they're the real deal.'

'--union. You never know--time like this.'

'--'d be surprised if the reactor doesn't blow--'

"Eh. New day. Same talks." Roma weaved in and out of the bodily traffic only to leak out at the base of the town. Gongaga hadn't changed much really. It was still quiet; still slow. But didn't it have some significance at one point other than previous missions? Roma raked her artificial brain of all of its databases and arrived at one result: Zack Fair. "Hm, just a name? No photo, no age, DoB, intel, nothing. Just Zack Fair, huh?" She simply shrugged at the conclusion. If Shinra didn't have any information on the subject then it's best to be left alone. While that alone didn't bait her curiosity, the fact that a Mako Reactor was only a hop, skip and a jump away did. Be that as it may, she couldn't take another step forward without first receiving orders.

Sweet, sweet oblivion.

Bryn was happily asleep, drugged with medication and wearing his helmet. The train's shaking and noise was no match for his medication, made to order by the scientists in charge of observing Rhongomyniad's battle effectiveness and thus its wielder. Ron was currently back in it's original form, snug in Bryn's back-holster. The SOLDIERs in the same car were talking, not bothering to lower their voices for their slumbering comrade, but this was because of them not knowing of his current unconscious state. Arms folded and back against his seat, Bryn did indeed seem like he was only brooding as the train made its way to Gongaga. The sleep was savored, and would've actually cured his dark circles some if not for a call.

Woken by the high-pitched ringing, Bryn quickly fetched his phone from his pocket, flipped it and held it up to his ear. "Yeah?...No, we're not there yet. I'd say we're roughly five minutes from the destination, train condition seemingly normal."

Muting input to the phone, Bryn called for attention and a hush filled the car, some shocked by his voice suddenly being heard and other half scared he heard their gossiping. Bryn took a careful look outside of the window before unmuting himself and continuing the report. "We're currently on standby, ready to exit the train upon arrival. Yes...I know...of course. To the letter."

Bryn looked up and sighed, wondering why he was the one to report their arrival. They knew how he needed whatever sleep he could manage, and still chose him. Listening to a review of their mission, Bryn took up his canteen and took a swig of what was now warm water. The train came to a screeching stop and the doors were opened, evoking SOLDIERs filing out and relief to those already there. "We've arrived. Yeah, remain on standby until further orders, ready for the appearance of AVALANCHE and/or Reunion. Durnal out."

Putting away the phone and finally standing up, Bryn stretched himself out and brought out Ron. He exited the train, eyes protected from the bright light by his helmet. Tapping the top of his helmet with Ron repeatedly, it grew in length and had its blade created and then extended until it assumed the form normally used for combat, lacking the restraint of the inches usually kept non-existent for his favorite stance. Stepping to the side and leaning back against the train, Bryn watched out towards the horizon and around his side of the train for monsters or those opposed to Shinra. Resisting taking another dose of his meds, Bryn instead took another swig of water and waited for another 1st-Class or a Turk to receive the order to mobilize.

Oh, how I do long for you, sweet, sweet oblivion. But I must sacrifice my own embrace of thee to prevent others falling into your forgiving yet unwanted and eternal grasp. Here I am talking in a older fashion out of boredom and weariness, right after a nap. That's just a shame. Hm? Shame...land- oh, you remember how it looked back in your time? I do wonder how it was, and sometimes I wish I could see how lush our planet was before all of the trauma. Hey, any way you could talk faster and more than in one or two words? Time, it takes time? Fine, but I expect some real conversation when you can actually carry one.

Everything seemed to sway. Left, right, left, right. Things were unfocused, and every single bump and rock was felt. She was about to lose it--no! She wouldn't! Not in front of so many important people! Her face was paler then usual, her eyes only looking up. Salvation arrived in the form of the train stopping, and despite how sick she felt, Lori resisted the urge to shove everyone aside to escape the train.

The air hit her like a splash of water, her wobbly legs finally gaining some leverage as she stepped onto the steady ground. Lorelai Charlotte took in a deep breath and let out a sigh of relief, stretching her arms as her stomach lost its nauseous feeling. After quickly making sure her suit was alright, she took a quick look around. Everyone seemed to wander towards their destination, and it took her a moment to do the same.

Letting out a small yawn, Lori patted her cheeks and turned back to the train. "Hey, Nirai, have you ever been here before?" She asked curiously, referring to her fellow Turk.

A Shinra infantryman walked around Lori, keeping her head down as she followed her fellow soldiers to the reactor. Only a few would occupy the 1st Class; around maybe six or nine. They were to simply provide backup, although most everyone knew it probably wasn't even needed. One in particular, however, had another plan: the uniform was authentic, although the person beneath was not.

Bianca Eira marched with the others; her footwork and posture matching the rest. As much as it disgusted her to don the uniform of the enemy, it was a part of the plan. One she had to follow, no matter how much she wanted to rip it off and probably murder everyone else with the same uniform. As the group marched to the reactor, she was pretty sure the other members of AVALANCHE were lurking, either out of sight or already at the reactor.

The group stopped for a moment; presumably to wait for the 1st Class SOLDIERS before continuing any further. She rolled her eyes; they were much too dependent on them. Of course, it wasn't just a title; those who rose the ranks of Shinra made sure they had enough power to match. While she was sure having to do battle with them would be no easy feat, if it truly came down to that she was going to make sure she would at least put up a decent fight.

I have arrived!

Keeping to herself in a corner, arms folded over her chest with her head leaned back against the metal of the train, Mercy gazed about and observe the people around her that had boarded the train earlier. There wasn't much to note besides all of the familiar looking uniforms of Soldier and mix of people. A pang echoed insideher chest as she felt the train come to a screeching halt, realizing how far away from home she truly was and bit her lip. It had been a taken a long brutal week to get through the perilous landscapes and monsters roaming about, having luckily been escorted here on the back of a bike from her childhood friend, Hayden. Having kept hearing more and more rumors circling around Avalanche heading to Gongaga; she knew that was the place she needed to get to and join up with fellow members.

Before having left the quiet town of Kalm, Mercy took it upon herself to see what Edge truly was. Using a pair of binoculars, she couldn't help but feel disgusted at the people who coward in the streets before the recruits of the Jenvoa forces patrolling the streets, making her fists tighten in anger. The resolve to change that was one of many of her goals in joining Avalanche and keeping her town safe or from falling into such a fate. It was beyond her understanding to see people like that, but, the tower that resides in the center of Edge sent a shiver of dread inside her.

Luckily she came prepared for this trip, having used her cute appearance to her advantage, she talked one of the Soldiers into letting her try the uniform on and gushed over how cool it was to be a part of Soldier, but, there was still suspicion in the newbies eyes and she knocked him out with the back of her gun. Hayden had applauded her for that. Agreeing the uniform helped her blend in, but, worse come to worse she'd make her escape, knowing she has a habit of sticking out; thanks to her height.

Watching people get off the train, she stretched out her limbs, listening to them crack and felt a satisfied grin at the feeling. Taking a few steps off the platform, she took a quick look around before wandering off; deciding it be best to start following some 1st class Soldiers at a discreet distance and find out where they're going. Of course, she was more excited to get her hands on some of the so called "Reunion" and find out what their plans were. Considering Mercy had her own motives in mind.

"This stupid place full of so many stupid people. Drunks all over the place and all these lazy bastards that don't want to work and surely aren't trying to look for a job here, or anywhere else!!! So where does that leave me?!?! Here in this damned place figuring out why the hell I got chosen for this job. Wait what am I saying?? Of course I'm the best."

Tyzera looked down at the expanse of Gongaga, spitting from the top of the reactor she was perched upon. "You'd seriously think that the DeepGround scum would have been here a lot sooner than I was or at least have been scouting the place." She'd already become annoyed at the situation as there were too many people all over the city. Sephiroth's personal killer was quite impatient, that being said gave another reason for her to be utterly and completely angry. Not only was the train not on schedule as it should have been, each minute that passed made Tyzera's boredom rise even more. She wanted to at least have a bit of fun with the soldiers. It had been years since she had even been around a lot of other people whom weren't associated with her liege. Sephiroth had done well in manipulating Tyzera into being the killer she was.

Instead of waiting for the train to arrive as she'd been ordered, the woman clad in virtually nothing began to scale down the side of Gongaga's mako reactor. "Where is that train!?!?! It needs to get here NOW!!!" Her own thoughts had blocked out the arrival of the train nearly ten minutes before. Passengers had been getting off the train and grouping themselves for what was to come. "What is to come eh?? Hahahaha. I crack myself up by talking to myself and thinking these things." There was such a large array of people around Gongaga as a whole that Tyzera had to decide which direction she'd go in.

Most mako reactors were large in size but the one in Gongaga was gigantic in comparison to what was found in other places and areas where reactors had been placed without the public's knowledge. "Nobody can see me from up here anyway. I guess it's safe to just make it look like a catastrophe and then kick things up. I'm sure there are plenty of hot guys down there ready to pick a fight." She was more than prepared to start slicing anybody that ended up in her way to ribbons. At the end of whatever fun she may have during her missions, one thing remained the same. She was going to succeed at every mission to the glory of her Highness Jenova and in doing so, make sure that she never let Sephiroth down.

"Hahahaha, this'll be far too easy." All six of the swords on the back of her person began to glow a fierce blue. Each weapon radiated the light for several seconds and then all at once a blue sphere materialized near the train station and shattered in a frozen blast. Ice shards and chunks of ice flew in every direction, many people were hit and injured, children included. One child whom had been one of the last to leave the train area had been immediately struck dead. Her head was nearly split in two, an ice chunk lodged in her head had been the end of her.

A figure emerged from the icy mist that started to flood the town rapidly. It was an odd kind of mist, it could be felt against the skin as a cold moisture but at the same time it was a coldness unlike just the temperature. This feeling chilled even the spirit...

The mist blew away, revealing Shiva in her full glory. Along with the summon being present and flying around Gongaga freezing buildings, people and everything else, the mist had left a horde of spider-like creatures covered in a down on ice.

"Here's my cue."

Lillith watched her fellow Reunion comrade from the roof of a building adjacent to the mako reactor. She'd been ordered to attack once the train arrived, which it already had, but she hadn't felt like it at the time. Maybe her lipstick didn't look quite right, or there was too much of a breeze, or she was waiting for a cloud to move in front of the sun because it was too bright for her taste. She couldn't remember what bothered her exactly, only that she hadn't been inclined following directions just then.

"Oh Tyzera..." She drawled, slightly amused. She watched as the other woman slid down the mako reactor and performed a summon, bringing Shiva into existence in a colorful and icy display of power. She raised an elegant brow as she observed the carnage left behind from the summoning. "Messy, messy." She tutted, wagging a finger in front of her face. She stood up, stretching and yawning and readjusting her clothes, and stepped towards the edge of the roof. Several stories, an easy jump. She took a step forward, beginning the plummet down. She rolled forward during the fall, transitioning smoothly into a tuck and then out, landing easily in a crouch. She stood up, watching as Gongaga civilians panicked and screamed around her.

With her hand on her mako blade, she began making her way through the chaos in search of those belonging to the DeepGround alliance. While she could care less what everyone else in Reunion told her to do, she would do as she was instructed by Sephiroth. If he wanted them dead, she would deliver.

---

"Shit, shit, shit..." Odesza muttered the swear continually as she sprinted. Her eyes were set on Gongaga, still roughly a mile away. "I can't believe I missed the party! Shit, shit, shit..." She cursed herself for going off alone while the rest of AVALANCHE prepared to move out. By the time she'd returned from her stress relieving leisure walk, they had already gone. "I can't believe none of them told me when I wandered off!" She shook her head, pushing herself to run faster. By now she could guess she'd already missed the arrival of DeepGround, but she hoped she would get there soon enough to still be useful.

The outskirts of Gongaga grew closer and closer, but Odesza was beginning to feel the exhaustion set in. Her lungs felt heavy and her calves burned, though she knew these effects would disappear soon. She hadn't run this hard in a long time, and her body hadn't been ready for such exercise.

"Almost there." She smiled to herself, legs carrying her into the city. She slowed to a walk and caught her breath, taking a look around at the empty streets. There was a fine mist creeping it's way along the ground, but nothing else. She turned and moved in the direction of the train station. The silence that had laid so heavy on the town was beginning to give way to shouting. "That doesn't sound good." She narrowed her eyes slightly, moving a little faster. The shouting became louder and more vivacious. "Not good at all." The sounds of fighting became clear, and she was once again in a sprint for the train station. Hopefully AVALANCHE was holding their own.

As Alphard sat at the altar, looking directly up through the stained glass, he felt a source of praise that swooned all over. To be entrusted, as he guarded his people without a second thought. This part of the city, Edge, was located near the buildings still being refined. Their strongest and most influential radical resided here alongside the Jenova and Sephiroth purists. Nen's hand resonated with the twinge of anxiety as he couldn't wait to begin the sermon he'd prepared for them today.

Taking his formal robes he'd approached the lectern to begin the lecture. The peril that had to be in effect as he'd dismissed his young ladies to an active duty. Raising his hands up as if gesturing that he was playing an organ, he let out the call of his voice and began his sermon.

---------

About as delightful as all else, the sound of the whistle had blown and scorned them all. Jihad's ears were acute and attuned to the sound of the moving train. Overlooking the town of Gongaga from the highest vantage point they could find, she took position and brought with her a sniper rifle so she could relax from a distance this time. Beside Lilith for the time being, the young woman slung the rifle over and leaned it against the edge of the rooftop. Grabbing her position, she steadied her hand and peered her eye through the scope attempting to locate Tyzera.

In her eagerness, Lilith had already prepared to take the front leaving her associate without nary a candle or mention. "As long as you don't move in line of the bullet, what you do is in the name of our cause." Jihad muttered, as she focused more on the train now and any soul that moved outside of it.

Jihad yawned, the screech heard by the train as the brakes had been engaged. Her sight hovered over both sides paying close attention to the passengers as they exited. The next noise quickly shattered by Tyzera's summoning, beckoning her divination creature of ice, Shiva.

As he made his way towards the local inn Vexil stopped in his tracks. A young girl had fallen in front of him, she did not appear hurt, however, there was a candy bar sprawled across the ground. She was bawling her eyes out, rubbing her small fists against her face as tears streamed down her reddening cheeks. Vexil knelled down to her level. "There's no use crying over spilled milk chocolate you know?" He said. The girl looked at him with puffy eyes.

"B-but mommy gave me the money to get some candy because I had been good, and I..." She took a glance at the ruined candy bar, letting out a mournful sniffle at what could have been.

"Is that so, you have every right to be sad then huh?" Vexil said with a subtle smile. The girl must have come from a poor family, her clothing looked clean yet ragged, and her hair appeared to have been cut with something akin to a pair of scissors. It was easy to feel sympathy for such a girl, though what Vexil felt was empathy, he had been in a situation very much similar to hers after all. The only thing that kept his head held high was his own will, and a little help from others. "You can't spend all day sad though." He reached into his pocket, taking out enough gil to pay for a literal ton of chocolate bars. "Here you go, why don't you go buy two more, one for you and one for your mother." He said, handing her the pouch of money.

The girl stopped crying, sniffling she took the bag and looked to him with shocked eyes. "But mister, the candy doesn't cost this much, though I think it should, cause it's so good!" She said, a smile already forming on her face.

"Oh I know, why don't you give the rest to your mother, I'm sure she'll appreciate that." Vexil said, lightly patting the girl on her head. He stood up, and began to walk away, only to feel a weak tug at his clothes. He looked down to see the little girl.

"You're pretty nice mister, are you with the Shrina people, here to help us?" She asked, large round eyes full of genuine wonder.

"Sure am. We're here to make things better, so root for us eh?, especially me, Vexil." He said. The girl nodded her head.

"Okay! Lissa will cheer for you to beat the bad guys!"

"I can feel your support making me stronger already!" Vexil joked, waving off the girl as she ran for home. It was then that it happened, all too quickly a blast of ice magic devastated the area near the train station. Shards of ice flew towards him, instinctively his Mantle of Aegis wrapped around him, nullifying the ice. His mantle leaving a shining trail in his wake, Vexil rushed to the train station. The scene was a massacre, people everywhere were injured or dead. Looking upwards he spotted the source of this incident. "Shiva... The mistress of ice..." He gave chase, but stopped in his tracks as something caught his eye. It was Lissa, the girl he had just met. Her head had been struck in a gruesome manner by a shard of ice, her blood stained the clear ice to give it a sinister crimson appearance. Vexil's hands tightened into fists, and in a silent rage he ran after Shiva.

Shiva was busy destroying the town, an odd behavior he could only attribute to whomever had summoned her. AVALANCHE was extreme, but not to this extent. Reunion had struck.
Vexil flung his left wrist, a chainlike blade pouring from his sleeve. It wrapped around Shiva, alerting her and causing her to raise into the air. Vexil went with her, the speed of her ascent nearly giving him vertigo. The thought of letting go did not even cross his mind however. Shiva tugged at Orochi, which was looped around her waist, finding it too difficult to remove she turned her sights to Vexil. A mound of ice that resembled a stalagmite was flung at him, Vexil yanked on Orochi, shoving him out of the way of the ice. Vexil's free hand lit up with a fiery glow, the familiar tingle of materia use moved through his body. "Flare!" He yelled out, sending a devastating blast of fire magic at Shiva. The magic exploded, causing Shiva to cringe. "I'm not done." Another four flares were cast, tearing into Shiva and causing her to plummet towards the earth. Vexil unwrapped Orochi, and spread out his mantle to act as a glider to slowly return to the ground. He wasn't sure if Shiva had been taken care of, but he hoped so. "Damn... I need to remind myself to hold back on the magic..." Vexil mumbled to himself, leaning against a house and holding his throbbing head.

Bryn let a smile appear below his hidden eyes, a heart-warming scene taking place with the little girl. Look at that, that's just precious, especially since that much gil would make some kill at the mention of it in this day and age. What exactly did you use back in the day? Nothing? So you just bartered? No? Then what did you do? Col..collect? You just collected things? That's... an odd way to go about it. You'll have to expand on that later.

Bryn was instinctively up in the air, Ron raised and a frown replaced the smile that was there less than a second ago. He first noticed Shiva currently wrecking chaos, then the stained girl, and finally the spiders emerging from the mist. The sound that accompanied the burst of ice shards triggered Bryn's response to most unexpected problems: rise above them. Glatteis. Bryn sent his weapon down, aiming for one of the monsters. Said creature was utterly destroyed when Ron impaled it, making those near the impact site collapse under the force alone. Ice shards flew up and speared others as Bryn recalled the weapon, now resembling a pole with a giant X on the end. As he begun his descent, he twisted Ron faster and faster so that as he touched down, the spiders under him were crushed, if not chopped and blended, their remains thrown out towards their fellow monsters, crippling a few legs. One single ice shard was made from the impact, but to make up for its lack of quantity, it had immense size, length easily matching Bryn's leg. He quickly took out Ron from the ground, the shape now similar to a morning star with an elongated handle, and smashed the ice shard in pieces that utterly shredded even more spiders before giving orders.

"I want those with ranged weapons and materia to take care of the summon. Others stay and deal with any remaining monsters. Those with healing abilities focus on those injured in both groups."

Bryn waited a second and sighed before continuing.

"Did I stutter? I said to MOVE!"

Checking the Shiva situation, he hoped the SOLDIERs could take care of her before she got back up. Turning off his infusion, Bryn looked out for any sign of Reunion activity. Spotting a woman with a hand on a potential weapon who was not making any effort to dispense of the spiders or Shiva , and definitely not trying to escape the situation, gave him an easy starting point. Her appearance pretty much sealed the deal. Shoving Ron into the ground and pulling out its Yari appearance, he made his way towards the girl. Rolling his shoulders and planting his feet, Bryn hefted up Ron and aimed for a second before taking a single step as he launched the spear towards Lilith. He let it travel a bit, not knowing if it hit, and recalled Ron to his hands. Running now, Bryn Jumped up and located Lilith before gripping Ron with his hands and feet and descending towards her, eyes flickering from spot to spot for any sign of the other Reunion members, AVALANCHE out of the question for such violence and probably busy with the other chaos.

You know, I hate how that monster we've dubbed JENOVA has turned our greatest SOLDIER and too many others whose wish nothing but to obliterate those who they once lived and laughed with. This girl doesn't have to do the things she does, but here she is, probably thinking of ways to end me as quickly as possible so that she can slaughter even more. Their blood doesn't help either, every stain on Ron reminding me how I live with a clear conscience as I clean it off. What a horrible world, and I truly am sorry you have to go through it twice. Huh? This is the first time? You're gonna have plenty to tell me later, even if it is word-by-word. Oh, I never got your name, mind telling me?

Kaiser? Sounds regal.

Roma had spend the past few moments in standby waiting for the order to make the trek up to the Mako Reactor in the mountains. It had become such a monotonous wait that even others began to take it easy by taking drinks or placing small time bets on which women they would sleep with first. No way how you looked at the current events they all just were a bit too quiet. However, that would soon change in the severe temperature drop would immediately pique everyone's interest as well as hostility. Shinra soldiers readied themselves by grabbing their guns or blades. Roma however still seated herself on a bench keeping ever calm in the strange situation. Each second the area would reduce to even colder temperatures with a final reading of -6 F. It was like the calm before the storm. Civilians began to retreat to their homes in search of warmth and the illusion of protection. It was as if you could feel the terror that awaited in the distance.

Icicles began to rain down on the area impaling several civilians and soldiers. "Wha--?!" Roma stood with haste only to make eye contact with the entity known as Shiva. An ice-based summon. Mid-class. Weakness: Fire. Survival percentage if engaged with the target: 91%. The look on Roma's face relayed the fact that she absolutely loved her chances. Before she was even able to take a step to the summon, she was met with a massive icicle speeding in her direction. The object was about the size of a motorbike and had the weight of three of them. "Ah...How cheap." Roma held out a finger aiming for the icicle's point which stopped the block in it's tracks. On cue, the object simply blew away in an array of crystal dust. In the time it seemed to take care of such a nuisance it seemed as if someone had already started taking punches at Shiva. And it seemed to work pretty well. The barrage of Flare spells came one after another like a fireworks display. Now definitely wasn't exactly the best time to admire such a light show but boy was it a sight to behold. Shiva plummeted out of the sky with a trail of smoke in her wake. Hopefully that did some severe enough damage to dismiss the summon altogether. However Roma would soon learn that would not be the case. A wave of spiders littered the field desperately trying to find something or someone to prey on. "If you send out mobs at least try and pick out something graceful. Sheesh." Roma complained. The wave seemed to group together and move in rapid bursts; a pretty effective battle strategy if you didn't have to go up against a supercomputer.

Holding out her palm, Roma allowed a few drops of snow to accumulate on her palm. Shaping the vectors around each drop, the flakes formed a minute snowball about the size of a penny. With a simple breath, she blew the bullet of snow out of her hand which then traveled at an alarming speed toward the pack of spiders. She didn't even have time to turn and look on the current situation before the bullet struck the pack resulting in a crater when there they would be. Nearby, several others pulled their own weight against the swarm. A familiar voice erupted from the group:

"I want those with ranged weapons and materia to take care of the summon. Others stay and deal with any remaining monsters. Those with healing abilities focus on those injured in both groups."

Of course. Bryn spouting out orders again. Roma didn't know much about the 1st Class SOLDIER except for the fact that he literally always looked like his morning started with poring cereal only to find out there isn't any milk. True suffering. Be that as it may, he was definitely an asset to have on Shinra's side despite being a brick wall. Either way, it was time to move. Roma definitely fell in the ranged fighter category and made her way to the Shiva crash site with haste. Taking to the skies, Roma utilized the thrusters to carry her to the destination. Upon arrival, the entity was already making a recovery. "Hm, whoever summoned you isn't your ordinary cat are they?" She teased with both hands on her hips. The distance between the two was pretty safe seeing as Roma placed herself on a rooftop looking down on the ice queen. "Come on, come on, Ice-chan. I don't wanna drag this out longer than I have to."

Despite the fact that Gongaga was drowned in snow, things were about to get heated.

Shiva cried out, having been immediately attacked by a single man, her body had been tossed into the air like a rag doll and followed up with quite a bit of punishment. The man attacking her was in a refined control of his chosen weapon, wrapping it around the ice summon and attacking her with several Flare spells consecutively. The summon was still being controlled from afar as they normally were but Shiva acted accordingly. As she was hit by the first Flare spell her screamed in agony at the intense heat put off by the spell. Her skin automatically glistened with a coat of magic that manifested over her form as a thick barrier of ice for protection. What was more, Flare was a powerful spell but it should have been known by Vexil that such a spell was simply draining culminating in a blast. Though the repercussions were often massive, it was not actually a good idea to use flare that many times in a row.

By the thirdtime Flare had struck Shiva she hissed at Vexil, falling down from the air as yet another spell hit her, breaking through and shattering her icy barrier. The summon hit the ground hard but took no damage from the impact. Ice had already spread along the ground, Shiva's body touching it in any way only gave her a reprieve even if only for a short period of time. She was the Ice Queen for a reason. Her being taken down so quickly was more than a bit ridiculous. She looked up and pointed at Vexil. Nothing happened when she did, just a small rush of cold air around him. "For later."

"Come on, come on, Ice-chan. I don't wanna drag this out longer than I have to." To this Shiva said nothing, she only looked at Roma with a both cold and annoyed expression. From her position, Shiva was projecting everything to Tyzera, so nothing could be missed my her as she controlled a majority of what Shiva did with her mind via the materia used to summon Shiva to begin with. Shiva glared at Roma, an effect caused by Tyzera whom was still up near the burned out mako reactor, preparing for the true goal of attacking Gongaga. With a smile the summon licked her finger and ran it up her side and then to her ample chest, circling the finger around the would be nipple area that was covered by whatever material on Shiva's breasts.

"Ice-chan??" Tyzera cackled at the comment, viewing Roma through Shiva's eyes expectantly, she saw that the lady wasn't going to attack, just talk a bit and see what would happen. Shiva motioned with her right hand at Roma, it looked like an empty gesture as afterward nothing happened. Shiva turned and her body dipped down in a fluent motion, dodging a spear that was made of fire. It had been thrown her way just like a mass of other projectile weapons and fire spells from those trying to take her down. Most of these attacks had failed, it wasn't like Tyzera was just going to watch one of her favorite summons get picked apart. Without any pause after her first step, Shiva moved a huge distance forward, her body looked like it was transparent like ice but in fact a small amount of light shining off her showed she was merely translucent. The summon's body randomly materialized at various spots around Gongaga, in quick succession casting spells such as Blizzaga on both large and small groups of soldiers present.

The eastern area of the town had been swept over by Shiva already, sadly the most horrific part of the attack was going unnoticed; children were being targeted and swallowed up by the icy mist as Shiva moved by them. Most of their bodies were just taken immediately but some resisted, their parents screaming in horror and being knocked back, limbs frozen or worse, having entire areas of their bodies encased in ice. After a few more minutes of destruction Shiva seemed to calm down.

"We're done here," Shiva's voice was a projection of Tyzera's own thoughts, it came out sultry but dull, almost as if Shiva was reflecting even more of Tyzera's being. "Your souls will do nicely for the next Revitalization to be at hand. Most, the innocents of the innocents here have already been reaped." Shiva's eyes went blank then, her arms stuck out rigid. Frost began to accumulate all along her body, the runes running up her sides and back lit up bright azure. Each second for ten seconds, the temperature inside Gongaga dropped several degrees. With the temperature at exactly zero degrees Fahrenheit it began to snow around Shiva. As a small flurry, odd colored snow flakes began to circle the Ice Queen's body. The flurry quickly turned into a blizzard. Gongaga was affected right away. The same snow that danced around Shiva had began to bombard the entire town in its cold grasp...

Clusters of ice, frozen crystals, diamonds and magically altered snow started to form over the town of Gongaga, as Shiva began her signature technique, Diamond Dust. The blizzard intensified rapidly and the clusters of frozen material began to pellet the town, crashing into objects with no regards for human life or civilization. Some of the larger hunks of ice not only fell from the sky to collide with other objects but also broke apart and sprayed areas hit by them with miniature shards of icy diamonds, ripping into many materials easily and causing alarming pain and damage to organic materials.

"Did you think I forgot about you two??" Both Roma and Vexil's surroundings got even colder than the rest of the town. Inside of performing Diamond Dust, Shiva also used Blizzaja on both of them. It was a tier four ice spell, rather than use ice or magic to produce an icy attack effect like the other tiers of the spell, Blizzaja was used to drop the area affected by it close to absolute zero. It was so cold that at such an extreme temperature, motion and matter are at a crawl. "Now be Judged!!!" Previously having been marked by Shiva added to the damage the spell was able to cause, dark blue flashes of cold itself erupted around Roma and Vexil in their separate locations, abilities and even weapon effects able to be frozen out by the effects of the cold. This Blizzaja spell extended out nine feet from the two in a triangular prism in the midst of the town being witness to Shiva's icy wrath.

Gongaga was the first town on Reuion's list to be revitalized. Tyzera and the other members of Reunion had been given their tasks already. Shiva had been a great way to set things off.

Mercy had only taken a few steps forward when she felt cold all over and the screams began. Twisting around, she felt sock inside at the sight of lifeless bodies on the ground, the ringing sound of screams filled the air and those alive, began to crawl away to safety. Already, she could see a Turk jumping into the fray of battle with the summon of Shiva. Withdrawing her guns, she scowled down at the ice materia infused to them. "I won't be able to fight with these weapons. I'd only heal her," Mercy muttered to herself, watching a few more people engage in battle. "Hand to hand combat it is." Outstretching her right arm, casting Time upon herself and dashing into the mist.

A few enlarged looking spiders, raised up on their hind legs and pinchers greeted her. With quickly reflexes, she avoided the first pair of pinchers coming dangerously close to her face, dodging down and striking out with her fist, sending the spider staggering a few feet back into some of its own kind. "This may take awhile." Mercy scowled, twisting out of the way of a spider launching itself from behind and feeling the uniform she adorn be torn by another pair of pinchers.

Unfortunately, it slowly dawned upon her that she was surrounded by a group of spiders. The blows of her fists weren't strong enough to break them apart, her height being a disadvantage and escape wasn't much of an option. Mercy could even see her breath in the air, panting from keeping the spiders at bay, a few minor cuts on her body where the sharp pinchers got ahold of her and tried to tear her apart.

With desperation, she had kept hitting the top of one of the spiders that was cutting into her leg repeatedly until her hand throb in pain, the spider overwhelmed with the blows to the head, fell to the ground and broke apart. Another one took its place, she couldn't keep them at bay forever; taking her gun out, she fired a bullet into the ground watching it get slick with ice but, the spiders kept coming and weren't affected by it.

Lillith surveyed the unfolding scenes with interest. Tyzera's summon was cleaning up the train station, and the rest of Gongaga for that matter, with relative ease. As expected, SOLDIER was now involved and were trying, in vain, to fight back. Lillith's lips curled into a sneer. "Cute." It was quite the massacre, and it only grew worse as Shiva and the spiders continued their rampage. Snow and ice overtook the entirety of the city, leaving a frozen wasteland behind. "Tyzera sure has taken care of business."

Her attention was stolen from the destruction around her by a spear, flying straight towards her face. She leaned quickly to the side, dodging the spear though she was sure a small piece of hair had been snipped off as it whizzed past her. "How rude, I'm not in the market for a hair cut today." She drew her sword hilt, activating the blade with the click of a button. A long blade of Mako energy extended from the hilt, buzzing and humming with power. She followed the origin of the spear previously thrown at her to find a young man charging. "Ah, SOLDIER, 1st class it seems. Perhaps he will provide a challenge."

She raised her blade just in time to clash with the spear in the man's hands as he descended upon her. She parried with a flick of her wrist, pushing back the man and his spear. She took a defensive stance, giving her a moment to look him up and down. "Not half bad looking, for a Shinra lap dog." She stepped forward, beginning the first sequence in a dancing flurry of attacks. She swept low, attempting to off balance him, then charged forward with a series of slahes. Her attacks were so rapid that her sword looking like a glowing blue blur, striking the left side, then the right, then a low blow, almost as if conducting a deadly symphony.

---

Odesza dashed around a corner, ready to sprint towards the train station. However, instead of the ground, her feet had found purchase on solid ice, and they slipped out from under her. She crashed to the ground, landing hard on her back and sliding several feet into a pile of snow. She hissed in pain, squinting her eyes and looking around. "It's a bit early for snow." She mumbled, observing the whiteout conditions that had overtaken Gongaga. The screams were louder than ever now, so she brushed off the snow and pushed herself onto her feet, hurrying on with caution.

She emerged into a square adjacent to the train station. She cringed at all the blood and frozen bodies, her chest tightening at the sight of all the murdered children. Movement from the corner of her eye brought her attention to a group of spiders, most likely the product of a summon. "Mercy!" She exclaimed, noticing her fellow AVALANCHE companion caught in the middle of the fray. She looked to be on the losing end of the fight. She activated the electrical powers of her iron knuckles, turning the dial on the side to a higher output than usual. She watched as currents of electricity surged over the metal with a satisfying crackle, and she gave a small smile.

She sprinted towards her friend and dipped into a slide, coasting along the icy ground. She quickly gained speed, rocketing towards an attacking spider. Odesza wound back her fist and drove it forward hard into the body of the spider as she collided with it. It flew backwards, crashing into a second spider and knocking them both to the ground in a tangle of legs. She stood up, brushing the snow from her body and readied her fists for another attack. She shot a friendly glance at Mercy. "Looks like you could use some help."

Fate.
The time has come
Can't we do anything
If only I had power
Why is this happening
Can you hear me
I just wanted to go home
Listen to me

The young woman sat up quickly, green eyes wide and alarmed, her pale skin having sweat as if someone had just doused her in cold water. For a moment, she was still as her heart raced and pounded against her chest. With shaking arms, she hugged herself and tried to calm down. She had heard voices, so many of them, and could barely understand them. What had they been saying?

Swinging her legs off the bed, she managed to stand, though admittedly with wobbly legs. Taking in a few deep breaths, she made her way to the window, only for a spider-like monster to get slammed against it. She would've shrieked, but she was in complete shock at the sight before her. There was a battle going on, and apparently it had been going for some time. Snow covered the house, and now that she had calmed down she was feeling the cold air against her skin.

"Nia? Nia, are you awake?"

Brushing her brown hair out of her eyes, Nia turned to the source of the voice, which belonged to Miranda, a friend she was staying with. The woman looked worse then Nia did; her expression full of worry and herself shaking, Nia quickly approached her, full of concern. "What is it?" She asked, taking her hand, and for some reason at the pit of her stomach she felt her friend's uneasiness.

"Lissa isn't back yet." She motioned towards the battle outside the house. "I can't stand to think my poor girl is out there--there are soldiers everywhere! And...And I think..." Miranda swayed a bit, and Nia led her to a nearby chair.

The house shook at that moment, signaling it was their time to go. "I'm sure one of the soldiers are protecting Lissa. We need to get ourselves out of here, it isn't safe." Nia urged her, quickly going to the wardrobe and slipping out of her casual clothing into her usual dress, along with a light jacket.

"What if she comes back and we aren't here?" Miranda replied, her head in her hands. "Everything...it happened so fast..."

Her voice was almost a sob. Nia knew that kind of worry, as she had felt the same when she realized her own mother was gone. Kneeling down before her, she gently took Miranda's hands and clasped them in her own. Her eyes were full of sincere compassion, a small smile on her face. "I'm going to go look for Lissa." She told her calmly, standing up. "If I'm not back in a while, you need to get yourself out of here, alright?"

"What? No! Child, are you crazy?" Miranda's hands followed Nia ask she quickly turned and ran out the door.

The cold air hit her like a sheet, and Nia wobbled a bit with the snow under her feet. After gaining steady footing, she began a hastened walk, looking around. The people were being evacuated at this point, the battle getting fierce. Her fingers fumbled to zip up her jacket, and admist her fumbling, she thought she heard a little girl's voice.

"Lissa? Lissa! Where are you?!" She called, leaving her jacket open and just hugging her arms as she tried to pinpoint her location. A horrifying scream caught her attention, and without thinking Nia broke into a run. She knew what had happened, and the pit in her stomach weighed down as she was thrown off her feet. She landed roughly onto the ground, rolling to a stop. As she tried to get up, she looked behind her only to see Miranda's house having been completely obliterated.

To say she was in shock was an understatement, but she had no time to dwell; a nearby monster caught her attention, and she scrambled to her feet to run. She ended up tripping, though it didn't give chase, and she gave a sigh of relief as she caught her breath, looking to see what she tripped over only to see Lissa's body. This time, she let out a horrified scream. How could this have happened?! Just a couple of minutes ago, everything was normal! Lissa had gone to get something from the market, Miranda was just making tea. They were all together. All alive...

She shook her head in disbelief, holding her head as she fought back tears. Why did things have to go so wrong so quickly? Before the first tear could fall, however, she felt a thud on her back, followed by a burning sensation. Nia practically ripped her jacket off, watching it burst into flames as a few monsters surrounded her.

No way...When did they get here?!

Nia's heart started picking up pace as she looked at each of them, each one slowly advancing. Was she going to die here, too? Just like that? As quickly as Miranda and Lissa did? Did it hurt to die? Why was this all happening now? She crawled back, away from them, panicking. This was really it, wasn't it? No! She didn't want to die like this!

"Help..." She whispered, more to herself then anything.

Bryn was slightly surprised at the materialization of the mako blade, and another shock as his descent was suddenly stopped by something other than the ground. Being pushed off, Bryn planted his feet on the ground where he landed, shedding a smile at her comment. "Trust me, my eyes are a deal breaker."

When he saw her step forward, Bryn instantly activated an infusion, a single arc of electricity traveling up Ron before it met with her blade, each blow being met with a block at the cost of a drain on Bryn's stamina. The blizzard had begun, and now had started to cut off his vision of how the monster and Shiva situations were going. Waiting for a strike opposite from the last, Bryn kept the momentum from the last block going and pushed back hard against the next strike, knocking her blade away before backpedaling enough to have some safety while still keeping her clearly within his vision.

Feuer.

Taking a breather and shedding his helmet, now encased in ice with a shard suddenly ripping through the thing and being responding to by him throwing the useless piece of armor away, Bryn rolled Ron between his hands, speeding up the warmth he thanked the infusion for giving him. Shouting into the blizzard, Bryn made some idle talk while keeping a careful eye on Lilith. "You know, we could both use some warmer outfits. I'm surprised they unleashed this with you still inside it's range. Some friends you have there. Speaking of extreme cold, I don't suppose you'd be up to huddling for warmth?"

Shivering from the blizzard's persistence, Bryn decided to end his break and charged forward, opening with a wide one-handed swing before transitioning into a series of varying thrusts, sweeps and slashes, each dodged attack was used to follow-up with another more powerful one, and each blocked strike releasing a puff of flame. The smaller attacks released one that would likely just singe hairs while the bigger ones would result in bursts capable of leaving burns on any skin not covered in frost. It wasn't quite effective for dealing damage given the current situation, but it was still useful. Though being pelted with ice wasn't at all pleasant, many shards and chunks were melted by the flames. As for dealing with the bigger clusters, Bryn simply knocked them off-course with the other end of the spear when not able to dodge them with a step or roll. About two seconds in he decided to start changing it up, actively changing his weapon's form, the shapes it assumed consisting of a vast assortment, each usually keeping a small pointed end on the bottom of Ron. A blocked halberd strike aiming low might be transitioned into a side-sweep with a scythe, the bottom quickly inserted into the frozen ground only to be instantly retrieved, the top now like a trident. Bryn kept the assault quick and relentless to slim down the chances of counters, something Feuer was excellent for.

"Any way you could thank me for the warmth by not moving so much? I'm not so thrilled about fighting in these conditions, and I doubt you feel different. Hey, maybe I could work out a simple life sentence in a nice, warm cell for you with the higher-ups if you just surrendered. Hell, maybe even get you a place without needles and test tubes if you're really nice and well-mannered. Trust me, that's some pretty fancy service if you consider how many different machines I get hooked up to on my down-time."

Hm? Oh, wow, that was more than two words. Aw, don't say that, she's one of the people behind this attack, I can't just let her go. Yeah, it's a bit chilly, but I wouldn't be much use if every time someone got Shiva out I had to just run away and pray. Since when could you talk like this? ...Well then since when could you communicate this well with me? Any reason at all for why right now? Oh. Well, that sounds like a fun one, but right now I'm sticking to this. Maybe when the weather is a bit more forgiving. Hey, I'm glad you can actually talk to me now, but I'm a bit busy.

Bryn continued his assault, waiting for the next block. At that time he'd switch to a double-bladed staff to let the momentum from the blocks be better spent. Checking his mental timer, he wasn't too happy about the amount of time and energy he'd already and would have to spend dealing with a single threat, who hadn't actually done any visible damage herself. "I'm serious about that cell deal, they just started using some nice bedding a week or two ago. Meals got an upgrade too, with new food options other than 'slop'. Even some vegetarian choices were added. Who can say no to prison salad, eh?"

"It's rude to just up and leave right when I'm getting ready to drag your ass around half the world and back." the android insulted under her breath. However before she could make a single offensive maneuver, the immediate surroundings closed themselves off from the rest of the town. Roma scanned her eyes up, down, left and right before making a conclusion of what would come next. Within seconds, crystals began forming on her skin from her exposed arms and legs to just below her chin. It was imperative that she stay completely still else something vital may chip. Time was of the essence if she wanted to survive the frigid occurrence. Before the Mako circulation inside of her body froze to a halt, Roma began to accelerate the forces around her to heat up the surroundings and effectively cancel the blizzard spell. The acceleration continued until the frost prison melted away revealing a combat unit exhausting immense amounts of steam as a result. Needless to say, it was the first time in a long time that Roma had to heat up to extreme temperatures and thus some of her clothing had literally burned away in the process not leaving much to the imagination. She blinked once. Twice. Three times just to make sure there wasn't any anomalies in her sightread. Those same eyes widened and a light green blush crawled across her cheeks.

"Ohno, ohno, ohno, ohno, ohno!"
Desperately trying to shield her purity, Roma increased the gravity beneath her enough to fall through the roof of the building she was standing on. The room itself looked as if it was done in by the clutches of Shiva as well. Not even a breath could be felt or seen through the blocks of ice formed in each corner. Roma gave a brief sigh before continuing the search for a modest set of clothing. A pair of cotton trousers and a gray coat caught her attention yet before she could take them for her own, the sight before her tugged at a heart that wasn't there to begin with. A family of three huddled together for warmed didn't have the means to survive the harsh blizzard. Even the glass gave way to the darts of ice and the wind chill in the air would definitely cause wear and tear on the human body. Even if she wanted to give them a few words to part from this world to the next, Roma simply couldn't piece together anything that would fit the situation. Instead, the 1st Class SOLDIER stood at attention and lowered her head for a few moments. "Um...S-Sorry." The apology was barely above a whisper before she decided to proceed with confiscating the clothing for her own. Roma clasped her hands together as if to psych herself up, "Alright, time to do what I was made for."

Vaulting from the second story window, Roma proceeded to locate the summon yet that wouldn't be necessary at all. For one, she was a mere fifty feet from her target. Roma was sure Shiva noticed her at this point but didn't let that affect her battle strategy. The winds were in disarray, ice formed in every inch of Gongaga and monsters were still wrecking havoc on unsuspecting citizens and soldiers. It'd be an understatement to say that the environment was in the Ice Queen's favor. Roma shrugged at the observation. She should be able to dismiss the summon with relative ease if everything goes according to plan.

"So whoever brought this thing out might want to get rid of it now! Unless, you know, getting embarrassed is one of your weird fetishes..."

No answer.

"Well I'm not one to judge."

Roma's body proceeded to increase in temperature once again however not to the extreme heat that was exemplified moments before. The snow around her feet quickly melted away and evaporated into steam. The physics around Roma doubled on itself seeing as small pebbles from Gongaga's earth lost all sense of gravity. Out of the myriad of small rocks Roma picked out as small, brown one she herself would say is 'cute'. The entire act looked effortless as if the android was operating under not even a fraction of her full potential. Roma took the pebble and tossed it at the ground immediately in front of her resulting in a stalagmite effect rapidly approaching Shiva. In the same moment, she raced beyond her stalagmite formation hoping to catch the summon off guard and send a devastating kick to her torso forcing her into the jagged surface. The entire motion would take less than four seconds to carry out and since Roma was taking on this entity one on one, it was imperative that she ended the confrontation as soon as possible and find out who the mastermind is behind the sudden attack.

~Kalem~

The whirling blades of the helicopter echoed throughout the air. Spinning at speeds unimaginable. Logo of the DeepGround shined brightly upon the tail of the flying metal contraption. Within it sat the two 1st Class SOLDIERS that had been sent late to Gongaga. Namely Kalem and Absolon, Kalem almost giddy with anticipation. The mission briefing warned the two to be worried about attack from AVALANCHE or the Reunion. AVALANCHE had always been a thorn in the side of DeepGround. Their leader Barret Wallace wasn't the smartest man but, it helped that he had help from a former Wutai General, Synel Ranger. The real threat was Reunion. Jenova and Sephiroth were the most powerful people on the planet, vying their time for things no one knew and it was a wonder why they didn't bring on a full-scale attack.

"Kalem. Absolon. The weather. It is weird." The pilot's voice presented much worriment.

Kalem opened his eyes to peer through the beautiful black shades that covered his gorgeous mako infused eyes. Steel grew colder against the freezing air of Gongaga. Snow dropped upon the windshield of the helicopter. Kalem took a single peek to the outside to notice the harsh new weather of Gongaga and the summon that stood along the Earth. It was an unusual event considering that weather had been harshly affected since Meteorfall and snow was a rare occasion nowadays unless you lived near the Northern Crater. Removing the shades from his face, 1st Class SOLDIER Kalem Hollander stood up to peer from the side of the helicopter. The door was slid open and the winds rushed passed his skin taking his shades with it.

His eyes overlooked the area from the height, taking in all the chaos from below. They soon stopped upon a woman with reddish-brown hair, Kalem's eyes being quite sharp enough to notice her, being attacked by spider-like creature. "Absolon, let's get down there. Pilots, get back to SHINRA and let them know we'll have everything handled." A smile formed on Kalem's face before letting go of the helicopter, his dropping straight toward the very Earth. "Brother Angeal. Guide my blade swiftly." Whilst falling, the snow almost seemed to congregate around Kalem in the shape of a angel's wing. A beautiful sight for the young woman that the man decided to save. Pulling his blade from the sheathe at the right moment allowed Kalem to land infront of the woman named Nia while his blade tore through the spider. The landing pressed no pressure upon Kalem's legs. Effortlessly the swordsman swung to his right and tore through the second spider.

"I hope you are okay." Kalem said sweetly to the young beauty. After a few seconds of waiting to see if she was okay, Kalem turned his face to look upon Gongaga. The death and destruction that had taken a toll upon the people and it almost saddened his heart. "MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! LET US DEFEAT THIS ENEMY TOGETHER AND PUT FORTH THE EFFORT OF TEAMWORK! WE SHALL UNDERTAKE THE DUTY OF PROTECTING THE PEOPLE!" Kalem roared to those within the area, sword pointed at Shiva.

Jihad had her sighted target, the sound of the helicopter drew her to an even more fascinating inquiry. A "what if" moment that she proposed in her head, as she couldn't take her eyes off the spinning blades. Marking the trajectory and angle the tactical mind worked as if to express a cause and effect. Narrowing it down to the pole that locked the moving blade in place, neatly tucked into her crosshairs. The sniper rife wasn't silenced, so she had an easy additional 500ft she could kill and just move to another spot once fired.

"A double tap, should be find, i'll switch it from bolt-action, and shoot like a .50 Cal."

Making the necessary adjustment, taking the time to note shinra's emblem emblazoned across the helicopter made this a must and would be target of their nefarious acolyte Jihad. As she took aim, holding her breath to decrease the shaking of her hand, her sound proof ear muffs were on and she rared for the double kick. A frisky trigger finger, quickly releasing two high caliber rounds in quick succession, aimed for the pole that held the propeller in place to effectively pierce the steel, the following bullet to assist in pushing past the first one.

She rolled over with great stealth and quickly moved from her sniping spot as rapidly and unnoticed as possible. Leaping from the roof, she jumped to the next building and ducked into an open window, taking it to the nearest fire escape and climbed up the neighboring building. "Shinra scum, crash and burn." she proposed tauntingly as the helicopter would've surely lost control and spiraled downward.
