Seig stands at the top of the stone steps leading into one of the cathedrals and smiles to himself as he gazes upon the land. There was something about the majestic structures before him that attracted him to the land built out of white stone. With that in his mind he runs a gloved hand over the smooth marble and feels that beloved feeling of power and beauty overwhelm him once more. He finally looks back to the streets and notices that the ride that he has been expecting has shown up. With the sight of the hideous contraption waiting on him Seig reluctantly picks up the small bag sitting next to him and tosses it into the back seat through the opened top. He personally follows the bag and lands softly on his rear in the end side of the car and tells the driver to take him to a train that heads into Central.

"I wonder how my old city is doing? I hope they took some lessons from Aerugo and changed how they look. I might be tempted to join them again if they do that."

As he thinks this the driver pulls onto the street and makes his way to a train station that just happens to be rather far from their current location. It isn't until the two reach their destination that Seig is reminded about how he prefers the appearance of a car over that of the train. He sighs as he climbs out of the vehicle and carries his bag through the station to the train as the last of the passengers shuffle on. He himself makes his way into the train but passes by the rest of the group only to go into one of the front-most cars where the decorations suddenly change from the basic wood, to a polished wood with gold trimmings and even marble floors. Although a bit of an improvement, Seig was still not impressed even as he makes his way into his own private cabin. Ah to be directly under the ruler!

The room itself was a vast improvement over the rest of the train. Seig steps across the marble floor with a single velvet strip of carpeting and runs his fingers across the sheets on the bed: Silk. He smiles as he falls onto the bed and rests his head on the pillows filled with goose down. At that moment a strange scent wafts to his nose and catches his attention. The smell pleases him as he recognizes the smell of roses from the perfume used to freshen the scent of the linens in the room. It's at that moment that the train starts to move and gently rocks the young man to sleep in preparation for the long ride to Central.

After Rose had gotten what little information the soldiers knew, she had taken her leave and made her way to the rooftops. It had seemed like the most logical path to her, as the grey creatures seemed to have only the most rudimentry intelligence that barely reached beyond the capacity to kill. Breath tearing rapidly in and out of her lungs, Rose ran at a good pace toward the general direction of Central Command, which not only seemed to be epicentre of the chaos, but was also the most logical place to go in order to give some real help.

At this particular moment, Rose simply concentrated on picking her way through the rooftops. It was more than enough to distract her from the confused questions and speculations that were crowding inside her mind, and for that Rose was grateful. Right now, time was much too precious to be wasted on figuring out what was going on, especially when not even the military seemed to have a clue.
Just up ahead, Rose could see a huge gap, almost a crevasse, separting the building she was on from the next one. She walked slowly to the building's edge, and after surmising that it was much to large for her to jump, she slowly began descending a rusted ladder that clung to the wall. Once on the ground, Rose continued making her way toward Central Command, which was now close enough to see in detail.

The dead bodies of soldiers, as well as the creatures, seemed to be everywhere. There was very little sign of anyone living nearby, but Rose could hear the sounds of several battles that were taking place nearby. The sound of them lightened Rose's heart; it meant that the drifts of corpses were not the whole story, that some people were still out there fighting for survival.
Ignoring the straggles of creatures that shambled about aimlessly outside Command, Rose made her way toward the main doors. Once she was inside, she saw a group of people huddled just inside the lobby, two of which seemed to be badly injured. She stood just beyond the little group, unsure of how to proceed.

The hail bullets could be heard from the distance as Shun clapped and stomped causing a pillar of grey earth to raise, blocking the bullets. The earth fell at Shun's touch, collapsing allowing him to see his attacker. He couldn't believe his eyes at the sight of Aerugo, now pointing a gun at the Lt. General. "Well Well Well an Aerugo soldier. I don't buy it. First off this summit was for a treaty and you decide to betray knowing how powerful the state alchemists are. Second, i've never heard an intelligence of anything of this sort though you guys can be quite sneaky. Third, i've been hearing radio chatter all this time and the things happening to these men and the power of your forces don't match Aerugo's military strategy or power. Either your playing us or Aerugo really is dumb. Regardless, i'm going to have to take you in and I don't mean silently." Shun remarked as he raised his foot.

Stomping the ground, the earth transmuted into a wall of earth infront of Shun. Stepping forward, Shun twisted his body around before smashing his shoulder into the back of the wall. The wall shifted shape as sharp spikes reformed on the wall before shooting out toward Rio. Jumping upward, he gripped the wall and pulled himself over it. Right as his foot touched the ground, Lt. General dashed forward at full speed. As he closed the distance, he grabbed a handful of daggers from his outfit. Leaping upward, he flipped into the air as he threw the daggers with pinpoint accuracy at Rio. His body touched, preparing for whatever Rio had in mind.

Yue gasped at the condition of the two soldiers--a monster disguised as a human did this?! She was awestruck. From the looks of it, these two were State Alchemists. One was obviously very young, whereas the other didn't look older than maybe her early twenties. Yue rushed to them, stating, "Just relax, I'll heal you." She inspected the two of them, trying to decide who had it worse, and which could wait while she healed the other one. She decided the younger needed attention first; only because the lady looked like she could hang in there longer.

The Xingese girl ushered them to a close room, closing the door. "Don't worry, Sensei and Mr. Maverick will hold them off." She assured the two, instructing the two to sit. She took out a few needles, scraping what looked like a circle onto the floor. It was hard, and took a little while, but a very thin circle, followed by a star in the middle, could be seen. She placed several needles there, rubbing her hands together as she drew in a breath.

She inspected the young boy's wounds; they were pretty bad, luckily nothing fatal; a few broken bones, but he was bad only because he had been losing so much blood. She closed her eyes, held her hands out, and took a deep breath. Her technique was one she had used many times; she was all too familiar with it. She could feel the Dragon's Pulse at her finger tips, and she gently pressed the boy's upper chest, drawing a line down its entirety, her finger touching his wounds and broken bones, but once she drew her hands away, the wounds closed themselves, and whatever was broken, was mended.

Yue couldn't help but smile in her triumph; she was, after all, trying to become a doctor. "Feel better?" She asked, grinning. She then turned her attention to the woman, repeating the same process, though instead her fingers went across her abdomen and ribs. She narrowed her eyes, trying to imagine what kind of monstrousity could cause such damage. In a manner of seconds, she too was fully healed. "All done~" Yue grinned again, standing up straight and collecting her needles. "I wish I could tell you to take it easy, but I guess that's not possible, huh?" She scratched her chin, opening the door. "Well, try anyway, okay?"

She bowed, exiting, though she was sure they were to follow. She felt a little tired; healing such damage twice in a row had taken its toll, but she was good enough to keep backing the two up. Besides, the other two would come out any second.

_________

While Yue had escorted the weak, Kitty had been at work; the chimeras seemed endless, and she was pretty sure she could almost smell the incomplete Homunculi approaching. "This is the military's fault somehow, isn't it?!" Kitty roared in rage, side stepping one that had approached her. She gave it a taste of her left upper cut, feeling some slight pleasure in taking out her anger on the god-forsaken bastards. "You know, I think those things back in the city had incomplete Philosopher's Stones too, wonder where they got THAT from?!" She knew it wasn't a time to be going around screaming and bitching, but damn it, she wanted answers. Taking another step back, she quickly dug into the floor with her nail, making a Transmuation Circle, and clapped her diamond hands together, pressing them onto the circle. The ground beneath them shook, though sure enough, it sent an earth wave towards the chimeras, knocking most of them back.

Damn it Demi, I want answers! She glared at the chimeras. Then again, she had been anticipating this, but she wanted to know why. Why it happened the same day as the Summit. Why they were ambushed. Why the military was so unprepared. Why Philosopher's Stones were involved. Why Why Why?! Why was the damn golden question to which no one had the answers.

And she was getting angry.

"Lean on me, if you need support." Frosty said. "Let's make haste"
Brad tried to take a few steps by himself but failed miserably so he did end up having to lean on the woman after all. They eventually made it to the lobby (and every single step hurt) Brad was in a daze of pain so he had no idea of how much time it had taken them to get there. All he knew was that suddenly they stood in front of Demetri. Brad still leaning on the woman to remain standing and silently marveling that he was even still conscious. Frosty saluted the Staccato Alchemist while she held on to her injured ribs, face blank.
"Apologies for reaching here late. There was an enemy, a..." She paused and then rushed on "Might I say...a monster disguised as a human." She said. "It manipulates shadows to attack us. Stormstep has encased it inside an earth dome, and I believe it may escape any moment."
Brad never heard anything else after that because he slipped back into his trance of agony, his mind shutting down and his body moving on autopilot. He didn't come to again until he heard the phrase
"Feel better?"
Brad snapped back to attention and gasped. His wounds.....were healed. He looked around at what was clearly an infirmary. In front of him was a Xingese girl who was busy doing some sort of healing alchemy on Frosty.
"I'm...I'm good as new!" he said cheerfully "thanks a ton!"
"All done" the girl grinned and stood up straight and collecting her needles, Brad wondered what they were for "I wish I could tell you to take it easy, but I guess that's not possible, huh?" She scratched her chin, opening the door. "Well, try anyway, okay?" She bowed and left the room. Brad turned to look at Frosty.
"Um...Thank you" he said quietly "I'm not sure that I would have made it here if you hadn't been with me. Hell i'm positive i'd be long dead if you hadn't shown up! So...Thanks. Whats our next move?"

“Hey Richard could you help out the Lieutenant general? I want to take care of these white bastards and make sure they won’t mess with us anymore” Without another word spoken Jack then dashed toward the army of mindless white creatures. He clapped his hands together and pushed his hand to one of the zombies heads exploding out a tremendous amount of air pressure with cleaned a row of them out.

He then looked down to his hands and his eyes went wide “Glowing…..blood? These guys really aren’t human” Jack then ended his speaking as they continued to attack him. He entered hand to hand combat with them but after a few moments he found it pointless and used another sound wave attack to push them back.

“Enough” Jack then clapped his hands together once more and pounded the ground with one large slap, this time the attack was a full-scale sound wave assault. The power traveled beneath them and exploded creating a crater underneath them and sending them tumbling down in it.

“That runt” spoke Pride as he was surrounded by darkness, a smile etched itself to his face “I guess you can remain a candidate, but you’ll definitely have to toughen up”. He then began to reach around in his bag searching for and item that would help him escape the predicament he had gotten himself into.

“Ho found you” In his hands were a lighter and lighter fluid. He then began to pour it near the walls and when he was done tossed it to the side, next he brought a small ember from the metal container that contained it and threw it and the wall. The flames erupted from the fusion surrounding him clinging to the walls and bringing light within the dome. His shadows returned to him and he then cut a circular entrance on a wall and leaped from it.

As he came out he glanced around to see the damage from the battle that had just taken place “I….really overdid this one, I could’ve killed the kid” he then shrugged “Oh well he’s alive that’s all that matters” Pride then stretched a bit and began to make haste towards the command center.

Central Command – 6:50 PM [One hour until sundown]

There was a momentary pause in the waves of Chimeras. The soldiers around the perimeter must have been doing their job well. It was during this pause that two battered State Alchemists arrived: Brandon West and Cura Lenard, aka Stormstep and Frosty. From the looks of it, the duo had good reason to be late, which was good because Demetri really didn’t feel like reprimanding anyone at the moment.

Cura saluted him, Demetri nodded. “At ease soldier.” He made a down motion with his hand. As she relaxed, the Lieutenant Colonel began her report.

“Apologies for reaching here late. There was an enemy, a..." The Alchemist looked hesitant to continue, "Might I say...a monster disguised as a human." She said. "It manipulates shadows to attack us. Stormstep has encased it inside an earth dome, and I believe it may escape any moment."

‘Manipulates shadows? No way it’s a weapon. Alchemy maybe? It could make sense but…’ There was no time to ponder on it. At least they had some more information on the enemy, and besides the priority was still to hold the line.

“Frosty, Stormstep, good work. From the looks of it you faced a tough opponent, and you came back alive. I’ll make sure the information on the enemy you faced gets back to the boys on the field and the brass.” Demetri watched in approval as Yue stepped up to heal the two soldiers. He had one of the privates show them to a supply closet where she could do her Alkahestry in peace. –Handy dandy Xingese right?

Central City Streets

Envy smirked as Shun charged him. Sharp, earthen spikes flew his way. With a display of graceful fluidity Envy dodged them, weaving in and out their flight patterns. Safe from the torrent, the ‘Aerugan Officer’ flipped back, anticipating a counter attack from the Alchemist. Sure enough, ‘Rio’ was looking up to see Steel Earth sending a barrage of sharp daggers downward. Rather than try and dodge them, he used his tommy gun as a shield, twirling the firearm like a baton to knock the things away—and it worked, for the most part.

Two daggers broke through Envy’s defense. One sliced across his left cheek leaving one long streak of crimson, the other ripped through his right sleeve exposing his arm to the elements.

“Tch.” Envy smirked. “Very good State Alchemist. If I’m not mistaken, I didn’t see you use a transmutation circle. That must mean…” He ran his index finger across the bleeding wound on his face. As soon as he touched it, red sparks danced across the gash, and in seconds it was healed. The Homunculi tossed his weapon forward into the air and lunged forward. He moved as if his body was devoid of any type of structure, breaking left and right, slithering in and out of maneuvers like a snake. Just a few feet from Shun he front flipped into a kick, making sure to put all of his mass behind it.

Central Command

“Bring me some heavy weapons asap! And make sure to bring extra rounds! We’re stopping this here and now!”

“Sir yes sir!” About four lower officers saluted to the Colonel and ran from the lobby, a new fire burning in their eyes. Say what you wanted about him, but it was hard to deny the loyalty Maverick inspired in his boys. How he did it was a mystery though.

The chimeras were pouring in now, Kitty and the others were busy suppressing them while he relayed orders to the men. That girl still hadn’t lost her edge; that fact managed to both please, and scare him at the same time. As he returned to the fray, blade in hand, he had listen to the Ex-Major General’s protests.

“This is the military's fault somehow, isn't it?!"

Slice! Izanagi cut through one wolfagator [wolf & alligator XD] like butter. Two more barred their teeth at him in honor of their fallen comrade. They came barreling at him in a zig-zagging motion. Thinking fast Demetri slammed his weapon into the ground, and using it as leverage his kicked both of his legs out, at that same moment he activated the circles on his feet, calling upon the purple thunder. “I’m sure the military is attacking our OWN HQ Kitty!” The beasts were greeted by a helping of electrified feet, and were fried to a crisp.

"You know, I think those things back in the city had incomplete Philosopher's Stones too, wonder where they got THAT from?!"

Kitty’s next attack made the earth shake, causing a few cracks to appear along the ground, and knocking the chimeras off their feet to boot. He took advantage of the carved out path and yet again activated the circles on his soles. This time though, Staccato stomped down, right at the beginning of the crack, sending a swift, powerful bolt traveling up the path. It instantly dealt with each of the beasts in its wake.

“Philosopher’s Stone?!” For that split second, the cool and collected demeanor Demetri prided himself on cracked—what the hell was the enemy doing with the stone? “That doesn’t make any sense. Our scientists are the only one with the recipe!” Staccato clinched the hilt of Izanagi so tightly, he though that the hilt would shatter. ‘What the freak is going on?’

“Colonel Maverick!”

Five privates came running past the Colonel, gattling guns in hand and strips of ammo draped over their backs. They kneeled down in a line in front of Demetri and the others and readied their weapons for a return strike. “We’re ready on your mark sir!” One of the men in blue hollered from ahead. Demetri realized now wasn’t the time to lose his head. He couldn’t lose his head, the mission, the soldiers, and the people of Amestris were counting on him right now. That smug ass Maverick grin was back, and in rare form.

The chimeras were licking their lips in hunger at the appearance of more meat for their meal. Demetri was crouching behind the private in the center of the line with his right hand on the man’s shoulder.

“Ready…”

The firearms clicked and clunked as the men readied their clips.

“Aim…”

The five privates stared down their sights.

“Fire!”

On Demetri’s word a flurry of bullets all aimed towards the front of the lobby were released. Demetri patted the private he was behind on the back before he turned to address Kitty and the rest.

“I’m leaving this part to them!” The Colonel hollered over the carnage just behind him. “I’ve got a bad feeling, I need to go see the Fuhrer!” Just the thought of confronting his father, and now of all times, caused a visible disgust to reveal itself on his face, “You all just stay here!”

As he passed by Kitty he gave her a gentle pat on the shoulder, accompanied by a wink of the golden eye.

“Colonel, we found this woman snooping around the halls! What should we do with her?!” Yet another soldier currently under the Staccato Alchemist’s command appeared amidst the chaos. He had two burly lieutenants with him who worked together to carry this woman. She was tall, with black hair and a pair of striking deep green eyes. There was something about her that intrigued the Colonel—he could see it in those green orbs of hers—there was the tint of a killer in them.

“Can you fight? I’ll personally help clear you of any charges if you lend me a hand here.” They were in need of manpower, and if his presumptions about this woman were right then she would be a fine asset. Demetri motioned for the two burly soldiers to let her go, and in one unanimous hesitant nod they released her to her feet.

Standing a few inches away from the green-eyed woman the Colonel was picking at the stubble on his chin in thought. “I’ll keep you on me though—no offense. I just can’t afford having someone I don’t know walking around unmonitored. You know?” He slowly walked past her and towards either of the hallways behind them all, “I’m going to see the Fuhrer, you’ll be my back up if anything goes down.” The alchemist brushed a stray lock out of his face, “I’m Colonel Maverick by the way.”

It all didn’t add up.

The attackers, their timing, and now…the stone was involved. Why did he feel like his father knew everything? Maybe he could end all this…

"Why, thank you. ♥" Lust gave a girlish giggle, taking a step back and drawing her arm to her head. With a smile, her fingers extended, tearing apart the wires that held Gluttony together. Without a momen't hesitation, she smiled earnestly at the man closest to her, though when she looked at the othe,r she had the slightest revelation; twins! And for once, ones that were oh so adorable. If she had more time, she would've loved to have them both, but as such was the tide of battle, there was no time.

She extended her other hand towards the closest, shooting her Ultimate Spears at him. She kept smiling, though had to ask. "I'm sorry for decieving you, really I am. But what made you stop and help such a complete stranger? Would you so willingly risk your life for people who don't even know you? For people who may as well end up being your greatest enemy?" She had a thoughtful and confused face, showing complete naiveness with every word. She sounded innocent enough, but knew exactly what she was talking about.

With a small sigh, she gave a small chuckle, and then the same smile. "Don't worry, my smile will comfort your death. I promise to make it slow and painful, okay? ♥" She giggled again, lunging for the nearest twin, her fingers aiming for his chest.

Kitty was caught off guard by this sudden decision, her head turning as he passed her. She spun on her heel, shouting unexpectedly "W-Wait!" much to her dismay, her arm even outstretched towards him, but only watched as he left. Somehow him leaving left her in a disheartened state, bringing back terrible memories. At the very least she could've provided some back up. Y'know, just in case something happened. Part of her wanted to go chase after him, but at the moment, she was the main tank until more help came. Demetri always had to go on things alone, never giving a damn explanation even though he probably knew what was going on. Except, he actually seemed worried when she mentioned Philosopher's Stones. When he proclaimed that only their scientists had them, that was something she had already known--which was why she blamed the military. But if he had no idea what was going on, then who really did?

If they had never used those things...everything would be different, wouldn't it...? I wouldn't have left the military, and maybe we could've...

With a sigh, Kitty looked after him, only to see a woman joining him. "Oh hell no--I see how it is, you bastard!" She gritted her teeth, anger suddenly replacing the evaporating remnants of what was a heartache. "Damn you, Demetri Maverick!!! I have ten levels of ass-kicking waiting for you!!!!" She turned back to the action, steaming with fury and the urge to throw something at him. She really wanted to cry on the inside, feeling hurt, but those emotions were replaced by those obsessed with anger and hatred and grudges. "Tsk, I'm an idiot..."

"...Um, you alright, sensei?" Yue asked cautiously, carefully tapping Kitty's diamond shoulder.

"I am fantastic!" The woman threw her arms up. "FANTASTIC!"

"...Right...Um, I healed the two alchemists, so we have more manpower to hold the front down." Yue continued. "If you want to go with Mr. Maverick--"

"We were told to stay here." Kitty reminded her, watching as the chimeras were held at bay by the privates. "We need to do our part and hold them off as long as possible."

Yue gave a small giggle, prodding her shoulder. "Aw, are you jealous?"

Kitty's eye twitched, and she found herself smacking Yue upside the head. She suddenly gasped as Yue almost fainted, quickly catching her. She forgot that she was still diamond. "Oh crap! I'm sorry!" Kitty wailed, shaking Yue. "But damn it, girl, why the hell would you try to make me mad in this state?!"

"S-Sorry..." Yue chuckled weakly, rubbing her head. It was as if she was hit by a wall. As they noticed it got quiter--the privates were reloading--Kitty let her go, punching her palm. "I got your back!"

"Good." Kitty replied, making another Transmutation Circle. Clapping her hands together, she touched the circle, a wall erupting in front of the chimeras. Nothing big, but strong enough to hold them off until they were reloaded. "Get ready, I'm getting another bad feeling something bad is coming..." As she spoke, her diamond form melted away. She felt like she needed to save it for what was to come.

Alkahestry was incredible, Cura thought. She pulled up her shirt a little to see that her cuts and bruises were gone. "Thank you." She said, in a soft, polite tone. The pain was gone too. She felt much better. Though Yue suggested the two take it easy, in this situation it didn't seem likely. She stood up when Brad spoke.

"Not a problem. I must give my share of gratitude; if not for you, we would not have had at least enough time to make an escape." She said. She contemplated on calling Rey. From the looks of it, calling him over here would cause more danger to him. He should be out somewhere safe anyway.

She heard commands being ordered by the Colonel. She looked pensive. "To think such a monster could appear in front of us and the both of us could not stand a chance..." She mumbled her thoughts aloud. "We help." She said, answering Stormstep's question. She looked at him and gave a small, confident smile. A smile which she realized she has not given to anyone else for a long time other than Rey. She went out of the room and heard Colonel Maverick's last command.

“You all just stay here!”

Cura saw Kitty and Yue, with Kitty looking quite agitated. It seemed as if Kitty and the Colonel had a history. Well, it didn't seem too hard to picture them. What am I thinking, she thought. She headed towards Kitty. A curt salute followed. "I will help." She said. She would freeze the chimeras, and in the next instant, shoot them to frozen bits. But she didn't like the look of things. Chimeras, monsters disguised as humans...what is happening?

Brad followed Frosty out of the room as she saluted Kitty.
"I will help"
Brad grinned "Me too!"
Sure he had no idea what was going on and sure he had probably just volunteered himself for yet another dangerous situation mere minutes after getting the damage from his last battle healed.
'which was enough to probably have me in the hospital for months if not for that girl. I'll have to find some way to repay her later' Brad mused 'Just like I owe Frosty. I guess i'll just help her and then see where that takes me'
"So....where do we go from here?" Brad asked confidently. After all. What were the odds of facing another monster like Pride?

Rose swept irritably at the creases in her clothes as she listened to the man talk, only growing more annoyed as he went on. She had come into Central Command to help and here was her reward. She supposed that the soldiers had only been doing their job in apprehending her, since for all they knew she could be an enemy, but that did not make it any less infuriating for her. Once the Colonel was done talking, Rose took a deep breath in an effort to calm herself. Most of her emotional state was not his fault, or even the soldiers fault, because none of them could be blamed for the chaos that was erupting all throughout Central.

"It's a good thing I came here to help then, isn't it?" She said, having to raise her voice a little over the surrounding calamity of noise. "But there's no need to babysit me, I can behave myself."

She smiled rather mockingly at the Colonel, who was surrounded by aura of confidence so strong it could rightly be called arrogance. This man was a Colonel, so he was obviously used to getting in his way. But Rose was not a soldier, so assisting him could turn out to be quite interesting.

Creating bonds to save our world and bring peace
Staring at his opponent as the wounds healed, Shun mind was only focused on how Greed's wounds did the samething. Before he could react within his stunned state, Envy closed the distance between the two, strking with a powerful kick. Lifting his arms at the last second, his steel arms stopped the kick but, not the force behin it which knocked him off his feet. His back slid against the ground before, he balanced himself with a simple flip. Calming himself, he felt the pulse of the dragon, and he could feel the same awkward energy from Envy that he felt from Greed. "Quit trying to fool me. Your not human. Your just like Greed. Not just do you feel like Greed but, you give off the same energy as the philosopher's stone during the war. I know what you are...Hummonculi. I won't let you walk away from here." Shun commented as he gripped his uniform. Pulling it off in one quick motion, he was back to his usual attire. Clapping his hands, he slammed them against the ground.

Manipulating the daggers behind Envy, the earth moved at his command. Twisting his foot, the earth infront of envy opened up like a volcano before it shot forward in a gigantic wave. The Earth behind the hummonculi did the samething, swallowing Envy up. The earth formed a powerful sphere around Envy, blocking out every exit. Walking forward, Shun clapped and out his hands against the sphere, controlling the plants. Vines jetted into the sphere before large thorns filled the sphere. "Die now you monster. Greed should be happy I took out one of his brethren." Shun responded to his attack.

Greed walked fashionably into the summit with his two best chimera following him. Staring at the door leading to the leaders of the world, Greed tapped the shoulder of the Rhino chimera and the bear chimera to let them know to watch this door. All soldiers that did incounter the three were killed swiftly. Stepping into the summit, Greed took out the closest soldiers with ease as he drew the attention of the Fuhrer and the other leaders. "Hello ye olde bastards. Now before you send your personal guards to attack me, I must reveal that on my body is a very potent bomb which will utterly take out everyone in this room." Greed said as hhe opened his jacket to reveal he was telling the truth. This bomb was no harm to Greed since he would just activate his ultimate shield, protecting him from the explosion. Walking forward several steps, he stepped just before the leaders and then spoke again, "So he's your options? Either kill eachother right now or I blow us all to hell. Choose wisely."

A trio of men had forced their way into the Audience Chamber. Despite the fact that each one of them wore the blue military garb, it was obvious they were no friends of Amestris. The moment they entered, the Fuhrer discretely reached under the table. With one hand, he fumbled for a moment before his fingertips located a single button hidden underneath the mahogany roundtable. The Fuhrer pressed it, and at once, outside in the halls of the Command Center a dull static could be heard over the P.A. systems.

The intruder revealed that there was truth to his words; strapped to his body was a large explosive. Each one of the leaders shifted in their seats as they watched this man continue his speech and give his ultimatum.

"So here’s your options. Either kill each other right now or I blow us all to hell. Choose wisely."

The Fuhrer’s glass grey eyes seemed to be glowing with…was it excitement? His body was shaking from it all. Too long had it been since he felt such a threat to his life. It was moments like this that made a true warrior feel alive.

Back in the halls of Central Command, each and every word spoken in the Audience Chamber was being broadcasted over the P.A.

An intruder in the Chamber. The Leaders were in danger. And a bomb. To top if off, the attacker seemed psychotic; allying with chimeras, threatening to blow himself and the entire building up.

It was all bad.

Demetri and his newly acquired ‘ally’ hastily made their way towards the chamber, and the closer they got, the redder their path became. The intruder had cut through dozens of soldiers to reach his destination. Dozens of good soldiers the Colonel took pride in working with.

The duo now crouched right outside the double doors to the Audience Chamber. Even outside, he could feel the tension radiating from within. The Alchemist bit his lip as he racked his brain for a way to safely resolve this situation.

“He’s got us against the wall…” The Colonel mumbled. He opened up his palms, watching as stray bits of electricity leapt from the center of his transmutation circles.

Audience Chamber

“You’re bluffing! You pull that trigger, you’ll die as well!” The young prince Salazar proclaimed, a smug smirk taking residence on his face. Premier Sokolov and President Morgan grimaced.

“Look in hiz eyez boy. That iz a look of a man devoid of fear—he’ll kill all of us in a zecond.” The stone-faced man looked towards the Fuhrer and Emperor. “The only way out iz…”

“Premier! That is out of the question! We came her to bring peace! Not to continue bloodshed!” The lady president protested. “We will not go along with this madness!” She hollered at the intruder and his two fellows.

“Now, now Ms. President. Don’t be so hasty…” Emperor Tsu held his hand up, a shifty look in his eyes. “Can we really argue with a fellow like this…I mean…” He cast a careful glance the intruder’s way.

“Emperor Tsu. You cannot truly be considering this mad man’s proposition!” Salazar slammed his hand against the table, “Even you must disagree Fuhrer Wallace! This idea is insane!”

Each Leader, with the exception of the Fuhrer had two personal guardians with them. The six elite soldiers all shook from anxiety. Their hands gripped their weapons tight and their eyes darted from potential enemy to potential enemy.
The Fuhrer did not answer, instead he scoffed. His blade was sheathed on his hip. Xavier Wallace gripped its silver hilt as he rose from his seat; an eerily calm smile was plastered on the man’s face.

Central Command

Back outside, Demetri had heard enough. If he waited to make his move any longer, he was going to have a massacre on his hands. There were so many unknown factors, he was basically going in blindfolded.

What if the bomb really was a bluff?

What if it wasn’t?

What was the bomb made of? If it did go off…what was its blast radius? Would the townsfolk be safe?

Who did the intruder work for?

What is his goal? Was he just a psychopath?

Was he in league with the inner city forces?

Too many questions, and zero answers. The again, he was a soldier. And as a soldier, you’re almost certain to run into your fair share of questions.

The Colonel reached around his back to unsheathe his blade. Quickly, he dug its tip into the wood of the door. It took him all of three minutes to create a decent circle. It was a tactic the Staccato Alchemist had used several times during the war.

It’s an extension of his lightning alchemy, specifically the initial step of it—manipulation of his body’s electrical charges. Via the circle, and the basic understanding of Alkahestry lightning alchemy requires, Demetri alters the magnetic field of a small area—an area the size of this particular audience chamber.

In the war, he altered the field to such an extent that it fried each and every hostile in the area. But this time, he had a different goal: with successful manipulation of the magnetic field, its possible to render many machines, weapons or contraptions useless. He wasn’t sure what the intruder’s bomb was made of, or if this would even effect his bomb—but it was worth a shot.

Audience Chamber

The lights inside the chamber began to flicker on and off. A dull crackling noise could be heard if one listened closely—what was going on?

“Well, well. It looks like our enemy has breeched out headquarters. And,” Wallace quickly assessed the intruder’s backup. “Those are chimeras with you aren’t they?” The Fuhrer unsheathed his weapon; a carefully crafted silver broadsword. “You’re not in league with the forces my men in the streets encountered are you? No, you’re completely different…” The giant of a man chuckled.

“I wonder…just what is your goal stranger?” Fuhrer Wallace had his blade pointed straight for the intruder’s throat.

Rose watched with an intruiged eye as Demetri began to use his electric alchemy. She wasn't sure what he was up to at first, since it was obviously the first time witnessing his technique, but after a few moments of study Rose thought she had the gist of it. She had to admit, she was impressed. As Demetri worked, Rose unshouldered her long case and put it on the ground. After a bit of rummaging she found pieces of metal roughly the right size and density for what she had in mind.

With a brisk clap, she began her transmutation and quickly changed the pieces of metal into light but sturdy throwing knives. She wasn't sure what was waiting for her and her "colleague" inside the Audience Chamber, but she had better be prepared.
Just as Rose hid the freshly transmuted throwing knives on her person, Demetri seemed to be done with his own alchemy as well.

"So," Rose said in a voice barely above a whisper, "what's the plan here?"

"So....where do we go from here?"

As Frosty readied herself for the fight, she glanced at Stormstep. It was funny how a young boy could become a State Alchemist. And she's seen that he didn't even need a transmutation circle for his alchemy. She never looked too much into someone's background so she didn't know much about a lot of people here in the military. But somewhere in her heart and in the back of her mind she felt a sort of curiosity and pity for him. Perhaps he should have lived his youth in a better way.

And then she wondered about her father. Knowing him, he would be out there, fighting. He would have been disappointed to see her wounded in battle. She clenched her fist. It was disappointing for herself as well. She took her guns and held them in a tight grip. Closing her eyes, she played the song her mother sang to her in her mind. How would life had been, if her mother was still alive...

Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes and heard the oncoming chimeras. Remembering Brad's question, she mumbled, "I wonder..."

Seeing Frosty tense Brad cocked his head to the side. He could hear something coming. Something bad. He hoped it wasn't another creature like Pride. He PRAYED it wasn't another Pride. He couldn't defeat Pride or anything like Pride right now. Well, maybe if his opponent was sick or something. Or if he kicked dirt in their eye and then kicked them in the nads. Yeah that would work.
"I wonder..."
Brad shook his head, getting rid of a satisfying image of himself kicking Pride in his demonic doo dads, and focused on his apparent partner for things to come.
"Well whatever it is we have to fight next, i'm pretty sure together we can handle it!" He said brightly. His expression turned serious and hard as he himself took a deep breath and stretched.
Time to go to work

****

Sloth was bored. He was covered in blood and had finally reached the command center where he saw Pride heading towards. He snorted and shrugged. Although senseless killing was all well and good, following Pride might lead him to someone strong. Judging by Pride's pace he had already found someone interesting. He looked calm and cool and collected yet his clothes were a little torn. Lucky bastard. Getting a decent fight.
Sloth sped up until he matched Pride's pace
"Whats up?" he asked casually "Whats the plan from this point? I'm bored"

“Do a bit more damage and blame it on one of the other countries, that’s basically it then we head out” explained Pride as Sloth joined him in his aid to create chaos. He stopped shortly after speaking since he had found some dead bodies of soldiers belonging to Cretan soldiers. “Here put these on” he then handed the outfit to Sloth.

10 minutes later…..

“Well now we have to find the Amestrian soldiers and convince them that Creta did all of this” he then quickly ran to the command center. Pride caught sight of his old ‘friends’ with chimeras around them he thought on taking them on again but decided to let Sloth have some fun with them. “They’re all yours” he said with a slick smile on his face under his mask.

Finally he had reached central command to find Greed with Wrath and the others. He winced at the sight of Greed, he just wanted to kill him so badly at the moment it was ridiculous but he decided to stick with the plan and fight the alchemist. His shadows gathered around him and was sent in a flurry of shadow spikes towards him and his ‘comrade’.

To say Sloth was excited was to say an understatement.
There he was. Greed. FINALLY a decent challenge! AND he got to fight Greed. He had been waiting for this moment.
"Hello Greed" he said "Normally I would make some sort of speech about how i'm going to kill you and what not but its VERY obvious what i'm going to do so i'd rather we just skip the formalities!"
Sloth hurled himself at Greed, shooting at him with the breakneck speed he was known best for. He WAS the fastest after all. Even if he couldn't control himself very well. It didn't matter right now. Right now it was time to kill

As quickly as it came, their chance to continue was, unfortunately, gone as simple as that. The lights flickered, and Kitty noticed that the attacks ceased. "Looks like they're right where they want them." She furrowed her brow, placing a hand on her hips. There was just the slightest bit of a breath now; relief seemed to sweep the room, though many were still tense, if not even more alert by this sudden break. "Don't any of you even THINK of relaxing!" Kitty barked at a few soldiers who had put down their guns, only for them to wince and hold their guns at the ready again.

"What can we do?" Yue asked worriedly, looking up at the PDA near them.

"Nothing. We leave it to that guy." Kitty rolled her eyes, cracking her knuckles. "If we suddenly decide to jump in, we may compromise the situation."

Yue was clearly shocked; "So we sit here and do nothing?"

"We sit and wait for a signal. If Demi wants us there, you'll be sure as hell that he'll send a signal. If not, we wait here. Orders are orders." Kitty spat at the ground, scratching her cheek as she plopped down on the nearest lump of whatever.

"I...okay...?" Confused by the sudden call of doing nothing, Yue looked at the other Alchemists. "Well...if something happens...or it doesn't...we wait, right?"

"Right."

Creating bonds to save our world and bring peace
Staring at the Fuhrer, Greed only smiled as he walked forward allowing the blade to pierce his neck. Blood spilled along the blade, sliding down to the hilt. Before Greed could even speak, two of his brothers decided to intrude. Pride was looking to rip a new asshole within Greed while Sloth wanted to rip Greed's head off and shove it up that new asshole that would be created. The top three brothers were all together and that included wrath. As Sloth lunged forward with his ridiculous speed, Greed just stood there as he was struck. Forming his defense, Sloth's attack was denied as it landed against the Ultimate Shield's body. So much commotion within the room was followed by the commotion outside the doors. The Rhino and Bear Chimeras stared down at the Staccato alchemist and his ally.

Dropping his large hammer, Rhino shook the floor, destroying Staccato's concentration. Attacking the alchemist with the hammer, he went for powerful head smash but, just as his attack came full circle, there a loud explosion from the room. Literally blowing the door off it's hinges, Rhino jumped backwards. Inside the room, Greed had hit the button causing the bomb to massivel explode and covering the entire room with fire and a concussive force that destroyed the walls around. The explosion shook the very command center to it's core. The only people within the room to survive would be the Hummonculi and it seemed that the Fuhrer's personnal bodyguards were able to protect their commander through alchemy but in return risking their lives. Xing's emporer was also protected by a special bodyguard....Shun's uncle who just happened to be one of the bodyguards in disguise.

Greed grinned as his plan went off without a hitch. See now that the other foreign leaders were dead, Xing and Amestris would be blamed making for war to avenge the assasination while on the other end Xing and Amestris would see this as an attack and their own trust would be put to the test as the only people to survive were Xing and Amestris leaders. "Yes let the seeds of war be planted. I hope your pleased Shun." Greed said as he disppeared along with his chimeras. "Do you think you got them all boss?" Rhino asked and Greed responded "I swear if anyone else survived besides the Emporer and Fuhrer then i'll buy you that cat that you always wanted."
