But Terra's heart was still in the body. It wasn't just Xehanort. And Xehanort did change his appearence quite a bit, even if it wasn't age wise. Bottom line, someone's heart influences their appearence, one way or another.

As for your second point, can't argue with you there. I really can't find anything to explain why he has so many attacks from so many different people.

Well, you do have a point there. But is it also proven that Ven influenced Sora's appearance? I think Nomura did say that.
BUT, he didn't make Sora age. And Master Eraqus was older than Terra, but didn't affect his appearance at all. Plus he was technically inside of Terra longer than MX.
Really, I think Xehanort and Sora both can have effects on those they connect to. Sora's is more of an emotional/spiritual effect. Xehanort's is more of a physical, amber eyed and point eared effect; like how he affected Braig and Terranort's appearance.
And if MX's body did have Vanitas' heart, wouldn't that make him look more like Vanitas? In KH, we've only seen hair color/eye color/hair style changes with heart swaps. Not age.
Finally, (I know I keep blabbing), if the Terra's heart attach to Riku's thing proves true, then wouldn't that in turn affect Riku's appearance? Then, Master Eraqus would also affect his appearance? Sure, Riku looked like Ansem for a while there, but that was only because Riku gave into the dark powers in order to capture Roxas.

My very few brain cells can't take this.

Although if this guy turns good it could almost be worth him existing in the first place.

I still think this is a legitimate question as we do not know that the MF is Young Xehanort, we only know that he looks like him. The premise of this thread is a bit misleading.

I'm sure Vanitas just popped up at that time because of YMX being there and the connection between him and Sora.
I'm sure people of darkness spring up if there is a connection.

I'm probably very behind on this, but this might explain why Ansem SoD and Xemnas are in the Realm of Sleep; if they're popping up wherever Young Xehanort goes based on their connections with the people he encounters, or something of the sort.

Even though, yes, it was never directly stated by Nomura that they are one and the same, he implied it heavily enough for us to accept it. Nomura would never directly say in an interview "The Mysterious Figure in Birth by Sleep is Young Master Xehanort." That's just plain stupid on his part. He was kind enough to give us a vague answer which, so far, points to MF being YMX.

Aside from the fact that I have no idea what your basis is for arguing that Nomura wouldn't just directly answer a question, it's important to note that the question itself particularly avoids mentioning Young Xehanort, both on the part of the interviewer and with regards to Nomura's response.

Specifically avoids mention of a name, substitutes it with a very roundabout, open-ended description of the character. It's not as though the interviewer couldn't have drawn the same basic conclusions everyone here has, unless they're totally unfamiliar with the games. Granted that the interview was almost certainly scripted beforehand (not the answers, but the questions), I have a feeling it was suggested to the interviewer to phrase the question this way.

He is the mysterious man who appeared in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix as a boss who manipulated time. Just who he is will be told in KH3D.

So Nomura continues to insist that he is a "mysterious man" and that his identity has yet to be revealed, wording which would indicate (though obviously not confirm) that he isn't a character we're familiar with. Besides, the obvious conclusion every viewer would draw based on the appearance of the character is that the Mysterious Figure is Young Master Xehanort, so there would be no real benefit to concealing his identity at this point after choosing to reveal his appearance, except as a purely facetious exercise in suspense. Based on these evaluations, it makes more sense to conclude that this is a red herring and that the revelation of the MF's true identity is yet to come.

That's not true. He only behaves like that if, well, he's trying to avoid spoiling the story. Hence, if there isn't anything to spoil, he doesn't have to speak cryptically. If they intended to reveal the identity of the Mysterious Figure by revealing his appearance, there would be no cause for Nomura to state that his identity has yet to be revealed.

None of that disproves or even addresses my point. Yes, the Mysterious Figure appears to be Young Master Xehanort, strictly based upon his design. However, it hasn't been confirmed that he is, in fact, Young Master Xehanort. He could be a different character who simply has Young Master Xehanort's appearance. Heaven knows that isn't unprecedented within the series, and based upon the wording and tone of the interview question everyone is citing as "confirmation" when it is anything but, it's reasonable to speculate that his appearance may be a diversion.

And he sure is speaking cryptically with his answer since he doesn't flat out say "YMX is the MF" or "This character is the MF." He gave enough for us to put two and two together, and if we're all wrong, well then we're wrong. But for now it's all we've got and we're going with it. The fun part of theorising is trying to connect the dots, even if things aren't confirmed. That's why many of us believe it to be YMX. Because we can make theories that sound so plausible, but at the same time be so wrong.

I was making a point of what was said. Because he will show up in Fantasia and other worlds, he will play a big part which means his secret identity will be revealed or has been.

So, why does this guy bring up that Sora may have hearts other than his own (Ventus)? Is he trying to help him figure that out so he can revive Ven?

Or is he instigating that he is trying to do the same thing only with Vanitas' heart? Or is he going to combine Vanita's heart with Ven's to be able to wake Ven up so his heart can be whole.

Uh. In order to create a greater sense of intrigue surrounding the character and possibly mislead the fans so that the actual revelation of his identity is that much more shocking. He's the only one that we DO know to have that ability. You can't deny, the trailer showing this, and Nomura saying this happens, are very close together. Close enough to maybe even warrent truth. It may still be speculation, but it is so darn close at the moment.

Her face was first shown in the Secret Ending of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+. Nomura avoided answering things about her in questions about the trio.

Nomura: There are three Heroes: Terra, Ven, and another character in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

We know it was the blue haired girl yet he still said nothing.

Nomura: The meaning of Terra is earth. Ven has the same feeling as saying wind. But Ven is a nickname, his real name is longer.

The plural here is a key. Plural, as everyone knows, means more than one. With Terra already mentioned separate, that means the interviewer was asking about Ventus and Aqua. Nomura only talked about Terra and Ventus.


She was shown again in the Jump Festa trailer(2007), however this was just her shadow.


Only in September 2008 did he finally mention Aqua. This was also the month where Aqua made her proper trailer debue.

Aqua is a serious character, she has a steady mind and often worries about the other two. She is eyewitness to the recent events, therefore she takes that sort of a standpoint.

Point here is, we all knew about Aqua, yet Nomura still tried to keep her a mystery.
This can still be the case here. We could know that YMX is the MF and Nomura is still trying to keep some parts a mystery.
