i was playing the ending of kh2 yesterday for like the 100th time and got to the part where the dragon knocked over the alter of naughty and when riku jumped on the nonbody glider(motor cycle thing) how did he know how to drive it and how to make the sheild, lasers, and all work on it...i mean he lived on a chain of islands that must have not had any really mechanical stuff, did he pick it up during the year sora was asleep or what anyone have an idea???

Its a game, not every detail needs a reason behind it. I am sure it wouldn't be that hard to control it, steering it, laser button, shield button.

Well, he has been hanging with the Org so maybe he learned a thing or two..

Well. the sheild command, if you look closley:
Riku raises his keyblade up and parrys, so maybe that's just a guard of sorts.
Though the other stuff, perhaps it was thought controlled(I'm running out of ideas here) or something
