Nah, seriously, Jack is there because his design is loved by an enormously wide variety of people, even non-Disney fans. Same for his entire movie.
I would say his popularity is neither a mistery nor undeserved.

And, yes, Jack and TNBC is an absurdly lucrative property. That's why Halloween Town will never leave the KH series.

I see you joined Jan 2017, welcome to KHi. To answer your question, yes, we definitely need more Sora. Given Square Enix's main merchandise line (Play Arts), through it's history, has released 16 Sora figures and only 1 (soon to be 2) female KH figures, we must never forget that KH is Sora's franchise.

If any child goes to sleep at night forgetting that, some worker in the deepest part of SE's Merchandise Division postpones all future releases for 2 years and makes another Sora figure.
