I dont know i guess i have learned to like Chelsea Lea but if i could change my name i think i would change it to Stacy or Crystle but my last name i would change in a heart beat i HATE my dad i would not care if i didnt have his last name....

When I was younger I wanted to change my name to Tommy... I was obsessed with the Power Rangers.

But now, I don't kow if I'd want to change my name. It's alright for now but who knows later.

I've seen a lot of people who wanted their name changed, sha0w's one of the few who actually has valid reasons, imo. I wanted to change my last name a couple of years ago, and I did have most of the same reasons shad0w mentioned.

If you DO decide to change it for the same reasons as Shad0w, then make it Randall. XP

I'll spare you the personal blah, but in the end it came down to the fact that both of my grandparents' last names reminded me of positive and negative influences that family members of both sides have had in my life.. so I just learned to accept my current last name. I'm still not a huge fan of it, but eh.. I'll only change it when I'm absolutely sure I want to get rid of the name, which right now, I'm not.

So anyway, yes, shad0w, your reasons are more than enough to change your name.

Well it will be weird, regardless of a change being a good or bad one, a change that big will still be weird for a while after you've made it. But like you said, it'd probably be for the best, getting annoyed every time someone mentions your last name, along with the other reasons, isn't exactly everything either.

Well, that was a bit of an exaggeration, but I really don't like having ... his last name (I would remind you of the other reasons, but it's evident from your other posts that you've read them). Plus "Steven Caleb Rains" just has that edge to it =P (at least more so than S.C. Minnich, imo).

4. Because of my grandpa (who's last name is Rains)- he's probably had more of an impact in my life than anyone... Well, more of a positive impact on my life than anyone else.

That alone is worth changing your name for. Steven Caleb Rains does have a nice ring to it.

Exactly. I don't want to be viewed as a "Minnich boy" any longer. If I changed my name to Rains I would feel like I had more to live up to (plus the heritage reason).
