So I got a new TV and my PS3 won't work. I got an HDMI cable and hook it up but it says "Not Supported Mode". It's a Samsung if that's any relevance.

is your ps3 set to output in a resolution higher than the one your new tv supports.
ie: is the ps3 trying to do 1080p and the tv can only handle 720p

Easiest thing to do is to hold in the power button your PS3 when turning it on until it beeps a second time, then it should either detect what resolution to output in, or output in SD and let you fix it manually.

I switch between an SD and HD tv all the time.
