I actually celebrated on may 10th, as it is Mexican mothers day.

I made an omelet for my mom and put a heart on it using cheese. It was intended to be breakfast in bed but she just walked into the kitchen casually and I'm just like "You are not aloud to be up right now, go back to bed!"

This year we didn't do anything big. My mom went and got a pedicure. I got her a card and plan to wash her car later this afternoon. We might go out for a cocktail later, but that is about it.

This year was the most laid back in celebrating Mother's Day. Ever. Usually it's a big deal every year, but my mom has gotten more chill about it. All she wanted was for us to cook supper this weekend. (She usually makes dinner for the rest of us. Now it's our turn to do the favor. Lol.) So we did crepes today and fried steak yesterday.

Oh, and I got her some quilt stuff off of Etsy. Something she really wanted a lot.

We didn't do that much, just went out to have brunch at our aunt's (which is a meal i absolutely hate) and then went out to an italian restaurant for dinner.

Mother's Day was another day with me. I just pretty much stayed home, didn't receive any phone call from my mom. We're pretty much estranged.

I'm sorry about that, it really is hard becoming disconnected from a family member(unless you're happy about it, that does happen).

I went about as swell as any other day though. I'm planning on contacting my mom some time in regards to counseling. Some relationships can be mend and others can't. Six years is too long to hold a grudge.
