I'm still standing on my previous perspective, no star wars or marvel worlds (yet). but... if possible... DLC weapons for SDG, most likely based on a theme (like infinity war or something). but a dream come true would be... A LIGHTSABER KEYBLADE FOR SORA SO THAT YOU CAN FINALLY END THE "EVIL SPOCK" SAGA WITH STAR WARS SYMBOLISM.

Noticed he didn't specifically say anything about hijacking that flying heartless. Maybe something you'll do in a few other worlds and it's not so much unique to Pirates?
I thought that was a cool moment, though i can't really think of another world that would make use of it.

Off the top of my head, Olympus could use this mechanic in the Wind Titan fight. And I think there are plenty of ways to add flying heartless bosses even if they aren't really necessary in specific worlds.
I keep getting a Mario Odyssey vibe. In that game, you are able to "capture" and take control of various enemy types and use their abilities. Maybe we can use Heartless that for example, move (or swim) extra fast or jump really high. There are so many possibilities, I hardly think the selection of worlds would limit this.

Atlantis would with the gliders. It might be slightly different as it wouldn’t be a Heartless, but it could probably use the same mechanics.
Nomura didn’t dismiss the possibility of SW/Marvel stuff completely. It sounds like if they would only ever attempt it if there was a high demand for it considering how much effort they would have to go through to make it happen. Considering how divisive SW/Marvel is to fans, I don’t think the chance is there.
I still stand by my opinion that they could totally do innocuous things like DLC costumes and weapons for the fun of it, and that spider-Man is the only character who can transcend Marvel and fit into Kingdom Hearts.

Nomura did say way back when that we’d be able to ride Heartless around, but I think our collective minds thought of something like the Hot Rod Heartless as we couldn’t even fathom where this game would go.

I thought it was this article that mentioned it, but I can’t find it now. I saw somewhere that more characters would be appearing with mini games like Remy’s. This makes me wonder about the status of Winnie the Pooh’s “possible†appearance. Maybe it won’t be a minigame world this time around. I don’t think they’ll depict any violence there, but maybe it could be of an exploration/puzzle solving experience?
As for SW/Marvel, I don’t think they would make good worlds simply because they both have such rich mythos surrounding their universe. But his comments definitely don’t rule out some surprise appearances/references. Big Hero 6 has a Stan Lee reference, so even something like that could be possible. A summon would definitely be a worthwhile way to give fans a big surprise. My hopes would be for Spidey or Groot. But even just some weapons and stuff themed to the properties would be cool.

I think she could be. His comments sound similar to how he spoke of Rapunzel when they didn’t want to show her until her combat was refined. They could still be working on her unique ice magic animations and stuff. She probably wouldn’t be a party member until she gained control of her abilities though, which happens at the end.
That leads me back to a previous idea I had. Some of these worlds might have two stage plots. For example, the first half of Toy Story could be what happens in the copy world and then the second half is what happens in the real world, Pirates could be half Dead Man’s Chest and half World’s arms, half of Frozen could be the movie and the other could be an original scenario.

Yeah this really opens up so many potential enemy types he can capture. I'll love to see Sora hijack an underwater heartless..maybe like some sort of submarine inspired type. If there's ground and air..why not underwater too?

I can see it being more of a bigger feature for that world, opposed to something that looks a bit more limited to certain parts in pirates. I doubt you'll be able to hijack a random flying heartless and it'll be fine with Sora flying around with it indefinitely lol
I can see the gliders being a little similar to skateboards in Kh2. In that they'll be parked in certain places and Sora can use it whenever for quick movement.
Yeah definitely. Makes me wonder what they'll do in BH6 seeing it's really high tech. I can see hijacking robots coming back but i'm not really imaginative in that department for whatever else they could do.

Who do you think would be a party member then? I think that she'll be a party member but that she'll come in after they meet her in her tower, when she goes through her "I'm better off alone" phase, it'll just be SDG but after they meet with her and talk with her, she'll probably become a fully fledged party member. I think that this will happen early on in the world, as when they first arrive it looks like she's already running away to be alone.

Nah, Star Wars would have been leagues better and it would have fit better IMO. This is coming from somebody that is hyped for The Caribbean too.I still don't see Star Wars fitting in with Kingdom Hearts. Personally, I think they clash. And besides, we already a (better) live action world

It sounds like the ship won’t be free roaming but I wish it was so we could accidently run in to endgame level sea monsters or something. Like the Weapons in FF7. We’d have to learn where they are and avoid them until we’re strong enough to come back and fight them later in the game. Even though most people don’t like On Stranger Tides, I think Blackbeard would be an awesome superboss considering he can control the ropes and stuff on his ship.

I always assumed Anna would be the party member shortly after the world started, and Elsa would become the party member after she gained control of her abilities- maybe even just for the final boss or something. I feel like with how often Anna and Elsa become more important than the other depending on the plot they could always be traded out for each other or be absent altogether, though, maybe only both being together for the last little piece.
