I don't know why they would do that. The first person adventure was working damn fine. I still wanted a 2D metroid though

Retro > Team Ninja. It doesn't even really look like a Metroid game.

Plus the main ones that made Team Ninja so great is now gone. So this team will be working a title form the start they won't be working on a title that is already done.

Like with NGS and NGS2.

idk this move could be bad or good.

I never played Metroid but I'd try this game. It looks quite interesting.

I have to agree here, it looks quite promising.
But it's just a trailer after all. :3

Speaking of not having played a Metroid game before, I have a little question I might as well ask here quickly (instead of making a whole new thread):

Which Metroid would be a good game to get into the series, story-wise, in terms of playability for newbies to the series, etc.?

Depends on if you like 2D side scrolling... or first person.

They all have great stories. For newbies, definitely Prime 3. But because that's at the end of the story it might be hard for you to understand, but the controls are way too easy, same with the game itself.

3D wise, it'd probably be best to get that Metroid Prime Trilogy thing that was announced not too long ago, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Do want, Team Ninja ftw. I heard it was a beat em up, i'm not too sure about that, I was expecting 3rd person shooter or 2d old school style
