well i never played the previous metal gear games & i was wondering if i should still play solid. i'm a fan of call of duty and medal of honor.

Go for it. You don't HAVE to play the older metal gears to understand MGS story. It's an amazing series and you should play them.

Metal Gear Solid is an action/stealth series. It's not a shooter... You should play though, the storyline and characters are fantastic. Plus MGS4 is <3 What exactly are looking for in MGS though?

But if you wanna just have a load of fun and fly through missions, and possibly die, it'll be a shooter.
