Yay for Death Note!

So I got my Wacom tablet a few weeks ago. I've been breaking it in :] I never really tried drawing seriously until I got this thing and it's made quite a difference.

Anyway, so I wanted to draw Light and Misa together. So I did. And I enjoyed it :] (despite the tragedy that is drawing Misa in awkward angles)

Tomorrow I might add a background, and I'm going to clean it up a bit more.

Anyway, here it is the (somewhat) final painting:

I must say it's pretty good considering it's your first time drawing with a tablet.

I like the shading and colouring,good job.
However,Light's posture seems a bit unnatural to me and Misa needs eyebrows 8D

the coloring os the clothes, hair and skin are really good. :'D

Anyway, I drew them kind of as if they were sitting on a platform.

So it kinda shows the original posture...

misa's face looks a wee bit odd tho, thats okay, if this is your first.. like.. wow O.O awesome xD

Yea I didn't really know how to fix that...I drew it at an angle I've never done....I eliminated her outline...and even after I gave up my pride and looked at face shots of her it still looked a bit odd.

But I guess I'll get better at drawing her in the future...I've never drawn Misa before like that so I'm surprised the face didn't end up even more screwed up XD

Misa's dress is really detailled and pretty! v.v
I didn't see it in the other pic,it was too dark to see it I guess.

Wow, not bad that, not bad at all. I think it may need some brushing up but that is good. keep at it.

I'm gonna be a **** about it since you have a Cintiq. Having a Cintiq should make you learn faster than those with Intuo3's since using a Cintiq feels more natural.

Work on your anatomy. I don't know why Light's jaw line is so flat, but it creeps me out. The colouring between Misa and Light's skin tone is inconsistent, and overall it looks flat. The CGing is way too rushed and doesn't look nice. The shading and highlights is also inconsistent the light source; it looks unnatural.

The only thing I really liked is the signature :v It's pretty koo'.

The chin - I think I see what you're saying, I didn't even notice it at first. I think I took care of it.
The chin - I darkened up his skintones a bit to add more contrast....so it would match more with Misa's...is that what you mean?
Misa - I think I fixed her face.

Unless I find more things I think need fixin', then this should be the final version. Yay!

Lol what do you mean? As far as I know, that's how men, especially perfectly-sculpted anime men, look. Flat. lol. I could be wrong though.
