^^ this is the sequel to A New Journey, which i ended last week. i was too excited to post it, so i wrote up the prologue. here it is everyone, and enjoy. i hope this goes as well as my last one ^^

Prologue:

“Ow! That was my foot!”

“Sorry, Kairi!”

“Sora! Where are you?”

“I’m right here Kairi!”

“Sora?”

“Yes, that’s me, Kairi. Now quit poking me! Riku?”

“Yeah, I’m here. Jess?”

Nothing.

“Jess?”

There was still nothing.

“Oh god…Jess please say something!”

Riku saw nothing through the darkness; there was no light, nothing. He went into panic. “Guys, she isn’t saying anything!”

“Jess? Oh wait a sec…what am I stepping on?”

Riku spun around to where Sora’s voice was coming from.

“I think I found her…”

“Oh, very nice, Sora! Way to go!” Riku snapped. He ran and fell to his knees, searching with his hands until he felt Jess’s hair. “Jess! Open your eyes!”

Jess still didn’t respond. Riku felt her face…there was blood.

“She’s bleeding badly. We gotta get her up!” Riku said as he gently lifted Jess into his arms.

“How do we get out of here?” Kairi asked.

“What if I tried using the light from my Keyblade?” Sora asked.
“Give it a try,” Riku said.

After a moment, nothing changed.

“It’s not working!” Sora said. “Something isn’t right!”

Riku thought for a moment.

Jess, you are the Princess of Light.

The King’s words ran through his head over and over again.

“Guys, we really need to wake Jess up. I think she’s our way out,” Riku said.

“Why?”

“Princess of Light.”

“…I knew that…” Sora said.

Riku kept trying to wake Jess up, but she still remained unconscious. There was nothing they could do but wait…

It seemed like eternity passed until Jess started to stir in Riku’s arms. She started to make painful moaning noises as her eyes opened. She wasn’t sure, though, if she even opened them since it was so dark.

“Riku?”

“Jess! You’re okay!” Riku said, hugging Jess closer to his body.

Jess was relieved to feel Riku’s warm body against hers. But the pain in her head kept getting worse, she felt lightheaded.

“I don’t feel so good…” she moaned.

“Jess, I know you’re in pain, but if we want to get out of here, you have to use your light,” Kairi said calmly.

“My…light?” Jess was having a hard time concentrating. The blow on her head took a lot out of her.

“Yeah, do you think you can do it?” Sora asked.

“I’ll…I’ll try…”

Riku helped Jess out of his arms, and he felt her stagger getting up and almost falling. He wrapped her harm around his shoulders and helped her stand up. Jess’s breathing was growing short and started to stagger. He knew she wouldn’t stay awake for long…

A small glimmer of light came from next to Riku. It was Jess’s heart. She was trying with all her strength to break through the darkness, but she was just too weak.

Jess started to scream and the light shone brightly, illuminating the darkness. A door appeared in the distance, and Riku saw Kairi and Sora run for it. They opened it, showing more light on the other side. Jess started to stop screaming, and the light faded from her heart.

“Jess?” Riku asked. She said nothing; he knew that she was out again.

He quickly carried her in his arms and ran for the door and walked through with Sora and Kairi.

sorry for double posting but here's the new chapter ^^

Chapter 1: A Strange Door

Riku met up with Sora and Kairi with Jess still in his arms. Now that he could see, he glanced at Jess and her wound; blood was still trickling down from her forehead where she got hit by the brick. Riku looked around and was just as amazed as Sora was.

“Is this really?”

Sora nodded slowly. “Traverse Town.”

The town looked the same as it always has; but Sora couldn’t help but sense something was really wrong.

“Traverse Town?” Kairi asked.

“This is where I woke up after our world was destroyed, and it’s where Jess grew up,” Sora explained. He was still gazing around at the town and getting even more strange feelings. “Something doesn’t feel right…”

He turned the corner and saw a pair of yellow shoes coming from behind a box of crates, and a small yellow dog walking towards them. “Pluto?”

Sora ran after Pluto, but Pluto didn’t notice him and just kept walking. What Sora saw next made him freeze and horror struck his face.

Pluto licked a boy and he woke up dazed and confused. He didn’t know where he was; he had spikey brown hair…

“No way…” Sora said.

It was him one year ago, when he first arrived in Traverse Town.

“Its…you.” Kairi whispered.

Sora bent down to the younger him and put his hand on his shoulder, but he went right through him.

“What is going on?” he murmured.

The younger Sora stood up and looked around. “Where am I? Oh boy…”

Sora couldn’t believe what was going on, nor could he understand why it was happening. Riku turned his head as the younger Sora ran out of the alleyway and into the town square. The younger Sora ran around and up the other side as the others followed; the younger Sora ran into a girl and they both fell to the ground, rubbing their heads.

The girl had long brown hair and wore a magenta tank and skirt, with a white T-shirt under the tank. It was Jess.

Sora laughed as he relived his memories. “It’s when we first met.”

Riku looked down at Jess, who didn’t move an inch. He knew that she needed to get help fast, but how were they gonna get out of here?

The younger Sora and Jess started to talk and they ran off to the second district, leaving the others behind.

“We need to get out of here. Jess needs to be examined…” Riku said quietly.

“She doesn’t look too good,” Sora added, stroking Jess’s hair. “Let’s find a way out of here.”

They walked around the town and found another strange looking door standing at the end of another alleyway. Kairi ran ahead and slowly opened it and they all walked through to the other side. They were back in Traverse Town.

“Okay…now this is pissing me off,” Riku said. “Why are we still here?”

“Hey!! Sora!!” a voice called out.

They all turned around to see April running towards them and she froze when she saw Jess. “Oh my God, what happened to her?”

“April, we need help now! Who can take a look at Jess?” Kairi asked.

“Uhm her foster mother can. She’s a nurse,” April stuttered. “What happened?”

“We’ll explain later. C’mon we have to go find her foster mom,” Riku said hastily.

~*~

“She’s taken a good hit, but she’ll be okay,” Winifred said.

Sora, Riku and Kairi sighed with relief. Riku was sitting next to Jess’s old bed while she slept soundly. The bleeding was cleaned and controlled, and there was a small stitch in Jess’s head.

Winifred was Jess’s foster mother, and her foster father and brother stood in the doorway. April, Zeke, Evan, and Marissa stood around Jess’s bed with Sora, Kairi, and Riku and watched Winifred finish the stitches on Jess’s head.

“You guys don’t even know if your world was destroyed?” Marissa asked.
Kairi shook her head. “The vortex sucked us all in too quickly. I hope everyone’s alright…”

Sora and Riku remained silent. They thought of Tidus, Selphie, and Wakka, and the other citizens of their world. Did they make it out okay?

“Well, we’re gonna go. We should let Jess get her rest,” Evan said slowly. He, Zeke, Marissa and April got up to leave, asking the others to let them know when Jess was awake and feeling better.

About a half hour later, Jess started to stir in her bed. Riku shot up and Sora and Kairi got closer to the bed and waited for her to wake up.

She slowly opened her eyes and saw Riku looking down at her.

“Riku…” she smiled.

“How are you feeling?” he asked.

Jess nodded slowly. “Better.”

Riku smiled and he, Sora and Kairi helped her sit up in bed.

“Do you remember what happened?” Riku asked.

Jess thought for a long moment, and nodded. “Yeah…some kind of vortex opened up and we were being sucked into it.”

“And?” Sora said.

Jess thought again. “It was dark…and then there was a door…”

Riku realized that part of her memory was lost due to the blow in the head. “You got us out of the darkness with your light.”

“I did?” she said. Jess tried as hard as she could, but she couldn’t remember a thing.

Sora explained what happened and Jess still had trouble understanding what happened. “You saw us when we first met?”

“Yeah, and we don’t know why,” Sora said.

They sat in silence for a while. So many questions ran through their heads…

~*~

“I’ve got some bad news, Sir.”

“What now, Seeth?”

“It seems like the Keyblade Masters have escaped from the vortex of darkness,” Seeth said.

“What? How? That place was for them to stay in for all eternity.”

“Yes, Sir, I understand. I don’t know how they got out, but they did,” Seeth said annoyed.

The man slammed his fist against the table. He let out an angry sigh and looked up at Seeth.

“Find them.”

“And then what?”

“Eliminate them.”

What’s coming up in Chapter 2: Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Jess prepare to leave Traverse Town with some help of a brand new gummi ship Jess’s foster parents and brother made for them. They prepare to travel to Disney Castle, but what questions will be answered?
